Objective To explore the tabular condition assessment methods in the role of early warning of children with severe hand, foot and mouth disease. Methods A total of 267 patients in observation group were evaluated by the disease assessment scale of hospitalized children with hand, foot and mouth disease and the risk assessment form of severe children with hand, foot and mouth disease to early indentify the severe and give intervention treatment. And the 243 patients in control group were evaluated by the empirical method. The incidence of severe cases and the incidence of complications were compared between two groups. Results The incidence of severe cases was 3.00%(8/267) in observation group and 17.70%(43/243) in control group, and there was significant difference between two groups, χ2=30.970,P<0.01. The incidence of total complications was 9.74%(26/267) in observation group and 32.51%(79/243) in control group, and there was significant difference between two groups, χ2=34.74,P<0.01. Conclusions The tabular condition evaluation method can early identify the children with severe hand, foot and mouth disease and give early intervention, reduce the incidence of severe and critical cases, and reduce the complications.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of puncturing Tianshu (ST 25) alone in treating intractable constipation in the elderly.Method Totally 193 senile subjects with intractable constipation were randomized into group A of 57 cases, group B of 73 cases, and group C of 63 cases. Group A was intervened by acupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25), group B was by Lactulose oral solution, and group C was by retention enema. The clinical efficacies and effect-lasting time of the three groups were compared. Result The total effective rate was 89.3% in group A, versus 88.6% in group B and 92.1% in group C, and the between-group differences were statistically insignificant (P>0.05). Of the markedly effective and improved cases, the effect-lasting time in group A was significantly different from that in group B and C (P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture at Tianshu (ST 25) alone is an effective method in treating senile intractable constipation.

Objective To develop the job burnout scale for military personnel and examine the reliability and validity of this scale. Methods A total of 1000 military personnels were chosen by random cluster sampling to outline the Job Burnout Scale for Military Personnel, with the subjects divided into group A and group B, 280 of them were tested by this scale and Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory simultaneously (CMBI), In group A ( n=500 ) Exploratory Factor analysis and Correlation analysis were used, and in group B ( n = 500) Confirmatory factor analysis was used. Results The results of correlation analysis indicated that the Cronbach'α of total scale was 0.917, and that of subscales was 0.719 ～ 0.847; split-half reliability coefficient of total scale was 0.920, and that of subscales was 0.723 ～ 0.867. The correlation coefficient of total scale scores and each factor was 0.731 ～ 0.808 (P＜0.01 ) ,and the correlation coefficient ranged from 0.386 to 0.627 between the factors(P ＜ 0.01 ). According to the results of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, the sample data fitted better to the hypothesized structure of theoretical model ( Sense of achievement, Somatization, Self-assessment, Human relation, Demotivation) and the indexes of Chi-Square was 771. 914, the degrees of freedom was 395, the probability level was 0.000, the relative Chi-Square was 1.954, the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) was 0.044, and the goodness of fit index ( GFI ), comparative fit index ( CFI ), incremental fit index ( IFI ) were 0.904,0.919, 0.920 respectively. The correlation was significant between this scale and CMBI. Conclusion The Job Burnout Scale for Military Personnel has good reliability and validity.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Apaf-1 and Caspase-9 protein in ovarian serous carcinoma(OSC) and their clinicopathological significance.Methods The expressions of Apaf-1 and Caspase-9 protein in 45 cases of OSC,60 cases of ovarian serous cystadenomas and 32 cases of ovarian borderline serous cystadenomas were detected by immunohistochemical SP method.The relationship between the expressions of these two proteins and the clinicopathological features of OSC and the correlation between Apaf-1 and Caspase-9 expressions in OSC were analyzed.Results The positive rates of Apaf-1 in OSC,ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian borderline serous cystadenoma were 24.4%(11/45),75.0%(45/60) and 46.9%(15/32),the difference was statistically significant (χ2=26.734,P<0.01).Apaf-1 expression was correlated with pathological grade,clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis (χ2=6.318,7.565,5.554,P<0.05).The expression rates of Caspase-9 in OSC,ovarian serous cystadenoma and ovarian borderline serous cystadenoma were 28.9%(13/45),83.3%(50/60) and 56.3%(18/32),the difference was statistically significant (χ2=31.682,P<0.01).The expression of Caspase-9 was correlated with pathological grade,clinical stage and lymph nodes metastasis (χ2=5.750,4.391,5.466,P<0.05).In OSC,the expressions of Apaf-1 and Capase-9 were positively correlated (k=0.433,P=0.003).Conclusion The low expressions of Apaf-1 and Caspase-9 in OSC may be related to the occurrence and development of OSC.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of allergic factores in eosinophilic nasal polyps. METHOD: Clinical characters of 67 eosinophilic nasal polyps patients and 26 lymphocyte nasal polyps patients were restrospeetively analyzed. Allergic factors, allergens and nasal anatomic variations were compared between two groups. RESULT: Allergic factors are proned to present in eosinophilic nasal polyps group compared with lymphocyte nasal polyps group; The positive rates of allergen skin test between eosinophilic nasal polyps group and lymphocyte nasal polyps group showed significant difference; Allergens in eosinophilic nasal polyps group are different from lymphocyte nasal polyps group; Nasal anatomic variations are different between two groups. CONCLUSION Different pathogenesis maybe exist in different pathological type nasal polyps. Allergic factors are closely relative to eosinophilic nasal polyps and nasal anatomic variations play a more important role in the formation of lymhocyte nasal polyps.

To study the dynamic changes of CT perfusion parameters during the first 12 h in the embolic cerebral ischemia models. Local cerebral ischemia model were established in 7 New Zealand white rabbits. All CT scans were performed with a GE Lightspeed 16 multislice CT. Following the baseline scan, further CT perfusion scans were performed at the same locations 20 min, 1-6 h and 8, 10 and 12 h after the embolus delivery. Maps of all parameters were obtained by CT perfusion software at each time point. The brains, taken 12 h after the scan, were sliced corresponding to the positions of the CT slices and stained by 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC). On the basis of the TTC results, the ischemic sides were divided into 3 regions: core, penumbra and the relatively normal region. The changes of all parameters were then divided into 3 stages. In the first two hours (the first stage), the CBV dropped more remarkably in the core than in the penumbra but rose slightly in the relatively normal region while the CBF decreased and MTT, TTP extended in all regions to varying degrees. In the 2nd-5th h (the second stage), all the parameters fluctuated slightly around a certain level. In the 5th-12th h (the third stage), the CBV and CBF dropped, and MTT and TTP were prolonged or shortened slightly in the core and penumbra though much notably in the former while the CBV, CBF rose and MTT, TTP were shortened remarkably in the relatively normal region. We experimentally demonstrated that the location and extent of cerebral ischemia could be accurately assessed by CT perfusion imaging. The pathophysiology of the ischemia could be reflected by the CT perfusion to varying degrees.

The aim of the study was to investigate the sesquiterpene constituents from the rhizomes of Curcuma wenyujin Y．H．Chen et C．Ling．The isolation and purification of the constituents from the 50％ EtOH extracts of the rhizomes were performed with repeated column chromatography over sillica gel and macroporous resin．Eight sesquiterpenes were obtained and identified as wenyujinlactone A(1),neolitamone A(2),zedoarondiol(3),isozedoarondiol(4),aerugidiol(5),curcumol (6),curdione(7) and (1R,10R)-epoxy-(-)-1,10-dihydrocurdine (8) by means of spectral analysis．Among them,compound 1 was found to be a new eudesmane sesquiterpene lactone,whilst compounds 2-5 were obtained from this plant for the first time．

Heparanase (Hpa) is the only β-D-glucuronidase of degading heparan sulfate proteoglycans in the body of mammalian.Studies have confirmed that Hpa accelerates angiogenesis in multiple physiopathological processes; however there are still a few studies about the expression and role of Hpa after cerebral ischemia.This article mainly introduces the relation between Hpa and angiogenesis after cerebral ischemia.

Objective To detect the expressions of Six1 ,TGF‐βand their common induced VEGF‐C in human laryngeal squa‐mous cell carcinoma ,and to explore their significance in the occurrence ,development ,metastasis and prognosis of laryngeal squa‐mous cell carcinoma .Methods The clinical data and preserved paraffin samples of 96 patients with laryngeal squamous cell carci‐noma confirmed by postoperative pathology were collected .The protein expression of Six1 ,TGF‐βand VEGF‐C was determined by adopting immunohistochemistry and Western blotting .Results The positive expression rates of Six1 ,TGF‐β and VEGF‐C in the laryngel squamous cell carcinoma tissue samples were 84 .4% (81/96) ,89 .6% (86/96)and 91 .7% (88/96)respectively .The positive expression rate of Six1 was significantly higher in the patients with poor differentiation and lymph node metastasis ;the positive ex‐pression rate of TGF‐βwas significantly higher in the patients with lymph node metastasis and had no relationship with the degree of differentiation ;the positive expression rate of VEGF‐C was significantly higher in the patients with poor differentiation and lymph node metastasis ;there was a positive correlation between expression of Six 1 and VEGF‐C in the laryngel squamous cell canc‐er tissue .Conclusion The high expression of Six1 ,TGF‐βand VEGF‐C may promote lymphatic metastasis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma .Six1 expression may be one of the important influencing factors of the expression change of VEGF‐C .The combined detection of Six1 ,TGF‐βand VEGF‐C has an important clinical significance for judging the metastasis and prognosis of LSCC .
