1.The Feasibility of Low Dose CT Scan in the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Objective To explore the feasibility and value of low dose CT scan for the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods 150 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis underwent three doses CT scan (standard dose:150 mA;low-dose:15 mA and 30 mA) using GE dual slices helical CT.Besides the different tube current,other scan parameters including tube voltage,scan cycle,pitch,and collimation were the same in three dose groups.The scanned extent was from apexes to bases of lung.Image quality in standard group was compared with that in other two low dose groups and analyzed statistically by three radiologists.Results CT characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis could be detected efficiently using low dose CT scan(30 mA) program,which was no significant as compared with the CT image using standard CT sose(P>0.05).Howere,CT scan at 15 mA obviously affected on the diagnosis for both active and inactive pulmonary tuberculosis,the difference was significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Low dose CT scan can replace totally the standard dose CT scan in diagnosing pulmonary tubercrulosis.
2.Correlation of waist-hip ratio, vascular elasticity and adiposity

Objective To explore the influence of elderly waist-hip ratio ( WHpR) on adiposity and vascular elasticity. Methods A total of 120 healthy middle aged and elderly people aged 40-60 years old were selected between February, 2015 and December, 2015. A number of 60 patients with normal ratio of WHpR were treated as a control group, while another 60 patients with higher ratio of WHpR as study group. Adiposity, arterial blood vessel elasticity, blood pressure, blood fat and blood glucose of two groups were compared. Results Normal rate of body fat and arterial blood vessel of the study group were lower than those of the control group. Adiposity, pulse wave velocity(PWV), body mass index of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, blood glucose, uric acid, three acyl glycerin, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of the study group were higher than those of the control group, high density lipoprotein cholesterol was lower than that of the control group( P<0.05) . WHpR was positively associated with Adiposity, degree of elastic stiffness of blood vessels and body mass index (r=0.135, P=0.011;r=0.189, P=0.013;r=0.146, P=0.014). Degree of elastic stiffness of blood vessels was positively related with WHpR, adiposity, body mass index ( r=0. 189, P=0. 013;r=0. 123, P=0. 009;r=0.097,P=0.021) . Conclusions WHpR can be used as an early evaluation index of Adiposity and blood vessel elasticity for middle aged and elderly people.
3.Improved one-off pants of colonoscopy in the application of colonoscopy and observation

Objective To investigate the application effect of modified disposable pants in colonoscopy . Methods Selected 100 patients who accepted the colonoscopy from January to December 2013 , including 50 patients used the modified disposable colonoscopy pants as the observation group and 50 patients used ordinary disposable colonoscopy pants as the control group .Compared the medical waste ( consumption number of cushion), the amount of polluted bed units , the protection of privacy , and the degree of turning freely of patients in the two groups .Results The pollution of bed units ( 2% vs 16%) , skin exposure rate ( 2% vs 96%), degree of turning freely of patients (96%vs 42%), nursing operation satisfaction (84% vs 60%) in observation group were lower than the control group , the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =84.673 9, 43.325 4,34.081 3,7.142 9, respectively;P<0.05).Conclusions Application of improved one-off pants of colonoscopy in colonoscopy and observation not only reduce the amount of medical waste generation and bed units the pollution, but also protect the privacy of patients , help patients to turn over more casually and improve patients’ satisfaction.
