The aim of the present study was to detect the transmission rate of ultrasonic low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) through polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane (Thickness: 0.01 mm) and Bio-Gide collagen membrane, and to provide the basis for the barrier membrane selection on the study of LIPUS combined with guided tissue regeneration (GTR). The ultrasonic (LIPUS, frequency 1.5 MHz, pulse width 200 micros, repetition rate 1.0 kHz) transmission coefficient of the two kinds of barrier membrane were detected respectively through setting ten groups from 10 to 100mW/cm2 every other 10 mW/cm2. We found in the study that the ultrasonic transmission coefficient through 0.01 mm PTFE membrane was 78.1% to 92.%, and the ultrasonic transmission coefficient through Bio-Gide collagen membrane was 43.9% to 55.8%. The ultrasonic transmission coefficient through PTFE membrane was obviously higher than that through Bio-Gide collagen membrane. The transmission coefficient of the same barrier membrane of the ultrasonic ion was statistically different under different powers (P < 0.05). The results showed that the ultrasonic transmittance rates through both the 0.01 mm PTFE membrane and Bio-Gide collagen membrane were relatively high. We should select barrier membranes based on different experimental needs, and exercise ultrasonic transmission coefficient experiments to ensure effective power.

OBJECTIVETo explore the minimally invasive treatment for fresh acromioclavicular dislocation and the distal clavicle fracture.

METHODSThirty skeletons of human shoulder were measured and compared, and the normal data on healthy people were measured with the help of ultrasound-guided. So the invasion point was located at the cross between subclavian axis and the line from coracoid tip to apophysis behind cone ligament node. From January 2001 to January 2010, 127 patients with fresh acromioclavicular dislocation and distal clavicle fracture were treated with minimally invasive internal fixation after locating the invasive point at the body surface. Among the patients, 97 patients were male and 30 patients were female, ranging in age from 19 to 56 years, with an average of 43 years. According to Rockwood classification, among 93 patients with fresh acromioclavicular dislocation, 67 patients were type III, 11 patients were type IV and 15 patients were type V. All the 34 patients with distal clavicle fractures were associated with coracoclavicular ligament broken. The duration from injury to operation ranged from 1 to 8 days. The therapeutic effects were evaluated by using the of shoulder scoring system, University of California (UCLA).

RESULTSAfter the minimally invasive treatment, all the patients had completely reduction at early time. One hundred and thirteen patients were followed up,and the duration ranged from 13 to 15 months,averaged 14 months. Nine patients had screw loose slightly within 30 days, but the reductions and functions were acceptable. Seven patients had complications of frozen shoulder and recovered in 6 months. The average UCLA shoulder score was (32.0 +/- 4.7), and 87 patients got an excellent result, 20 good and 6 fair.

CONCLUSIONThis minimally invasive treatment has advantages such as little trauma and low cost, which is worthy of clinical applications.

OBJECTIVETo measure the mesiodistal and buccolingual alveolar bone mass of back teeth in posterior alveolar crest at different height by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), and analyze the safe area of microscrew implanted at back teeth in posterior alveolar crest.

METHODS30 cases of adult scan image data were selected for the study of jaw bones scan reconstruction. From the distal of first premolar backward, buccolingual (plate) width and the mesiodistal size between each interfurcal region (including tuber maxillae) were measured from alveolar crest at top of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10mm. ANOVA and LSD methods were made by SPSS 16.0 software for comparison.

RESULTS1) The mesiodistal bone mass of back teeth in maxilla at the same height with different position had statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The biggest mesiodistal bone mass was located at the palatal roots between the second premolar and the first molar. The statistically significant difference of buccolingual bone mass also existed at different position and height (P<0.05). The biggest buccolingual bone mass was located at the middle of the first molar and the second molar. 2) The mesiodistal bone mass of back teeth in maxilla at different height and position had statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The statistically significant difference of buccolingual bone mass also existed in the same position with different height (P<0.05). The biggest mesiodistal and buccolingual bone mass was located at the middle of the first molar and the second molar.

CONCLUSIONThe safe area of microscrew implanted at back teeth in posterior alveolar crest is tested by CBCT, which provides valuable reference for the follow-up clinical application.

OBJECTIVETo analyze CD21 expression in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and to explore its relationship with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis.

METHODSThe clinical data from 80 DLBCL patients who were treated in First Hospital of Jilin University from June 2005 to September 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. The cases were subjected to immunohistochemical staining (SP method) for Ki-67, CD20, CD79a, CD3, CD43, CD5, cyclin D1, bcl-2, CD10, bcl-6, GCET-1, FOXP-1 and MUM-1 protein expression in the tumor tissue. Immunohistochemistry was also used to detect CD21 expression in the tumor tissue. SPSS 18.0 was used to analyze the relationship between CD21 expression and various clinical factors, and the relationship between various clinical factors including CD21 and overall survival.

RESULTSIn the patients aged under 60 years, the incidence of CD21(+) lymphoma (64.0%, 16/25) was significantly higher than that of CD21(-) lymphoma (38.2%, 21/55). There were more CD21(+) lymphoma patients who were at clinical stages I-II (52.0%, 13/25) than patients with CD21(-)lymphomas (23.6%, 13/55). There were also more CD21(+) lymphoma patients (68.0%, 17/25) having less than two extranodal sites involvement than CD21(-)lymphoma patients (41.8%, 23/55). In addition, there were more CD21(+) lymphoma patients with IPI 0-2 (68.0%, 17/25) than CD21(-)lymphoma patients (41.8%, 23/55). There were more CD21(+) lymphoma patients with GCB subtype (60.0%, 15/25) than CD21(-)lymphoma patients (23.6%, 13/55). Death related to DLBCL was less in CD21(+) lymphoma patients (32.0%, 8/25) than CD21(-) lymphoma patients (56.4%, 31/55). Univariate analysis showed that these clinical pathological characteristics affected the overall survival of DLBCL patients, including age, ECOG score, LDH, extranodal involvement, IPI index, CD21 expression, treatment option and efficacy (P < 0.05) . Cox multivariate analysis showed that ECOG score, LDH, extranodal involvement, CD21 expression were closely related to prognosis, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Among the 80 patients, the overall survival (OS) of CD21(+) lymphoma patients was significantly higher than that of CD21(-) lymphoma patients.

CONCLUSIONSThe expression of CD21 is associated with young age at onset, early clinical stage, small number of involvement and low IPI index. The OS and median overall survival of CD21(+) lymphoma patients are significantly higher than those of CD21(-) patients. CD21 expression, ECOG score, LDH, extranodal involvement are independent prognostic factors in DLBCL, and in particular, the expression of CD21 is more significant in the prognosis of DLBCL patients.

Objective To valuate the feasibility and safety of double stents-assisted coil embolization in the treatment of intracranial blood blister-like aneurysms.Methods The clinical data of 10 patients with BBAs who treated by double stents-assisted coil embolization were retrospectively reviewed.The clinical angiographic findings and follow-up restdts were analyzed and evaluated.Results The stent implantation were successfully performed in parent artery of 10 patients.There were 4 patients were performed with solo stents only because tumor was too small.5 patients were treated with double stents-assisted partial coil embolization.1 patient was treated with double stents-assisted totall coil embolization.The modified Rankin Scale score at the time of discharge in the alive patientswas 1 point in 5 patients,2 points in 2 patients,and 3 points in 1 patient,two patients died due to postoperative bleeding.The modified Rankin Scale score at 6-24 months after the treatment was 0 points in 5 patients,1 point in 2 patients,and 2 points in 1 patient,no rebteeding occurred.All patients received imaging follow-up to make sure the aneurysm imaging disappeared in 3 cases,3 cases of aneurysm development smaller,2 cases of imaging had no obvious change.Conclusion Double stents-assisted coil embolization is one of feasible methods for the treatment of BBAs.This method has high security,can reduce the fatality rate of BBAs.It is possible that new type low porosity stents may further reduce the risk of rebleeding and reoccurrence.

BACKGROUNDOne of the reasons for poor neuroregeneration after central nervous system injury is the presence of inhibitory factors such as Nogo. Here, we tested the inhibition of Nogo by RNA interference both in vitro and in vivo, using recombinant adenovirus-mediated transfection of short hairpin RNAs, to explore a new method of treatment for spinal cord injury.

METHODSWe designed and cloned two Nogo-specific short hairpin RNAs and an unrelated short hairpin RNA, packaged the clones into adenovirus, and amplified the recombinant virus in 293 cells. We then tested the inhibition of Nogo expression both in vitro in adenovirus-transfected oligodendrocytes and in vivo in spinal cord tissue from adenovirus-transfected spinal cord injury model rats. We tested Nogo expression at the mRNA level by reverse-transcription PCR and at the protein level by Western blotting and immunohistochemistry.

RESULTSIn vitro, the two specific Nogo short hairpin RNAs decreased Nogo mRNA expression by 51% and 49%, respectively, compared with Nogo expression in cells transfected with the unrelated control small hairpin RNA (P < 0.005). Similarly, Nogo protein expression decreased by 50% and 48%, respectively (P < 0.005). In vivo, in spinal cord injury model rats, the two specific Nogo short hairpin RNAs decreased Nogo mRNA expression by 45% and 40%, respectively, compared with Nogo expression in spinal cord injury model rats transfected with the unrelated control short hairpin RNA (P < 0.005). The Nogo protein level was similarly decreased.

CONCLUSIONSWe were successful in specifically downregulating Nogo at the mRNA and protein levels by adenovirus-mediated delivery of short hairpin RNAs, both in vitro and in vivo. This confirms the effectiveness of RNA interference for the inhibition of Nogo gene expression and the efficiency of using adenovirus for delivery. Thus gene therapy may be an effective treatment for spinal cord injury.

OBJECTIVETo further explore the best Forsus load power by analyzing the change of mandible's stress and displacement after Forsus protruded mandible instantaneously under different vertical component for providing theoretical basis.

METHODSThe pre-built Forsus protruding mandible model were build through Abaqus 6.5 software. The change of mandible's stress, displacement, and pathway trend under three different working conditions(horizontal component 4 N and vertical component 2, 4, 1 N).

RESULTSTorsion occurred in all condyles under three working conditions, and the stress was large. Under vertical component 2 and 1 N, the mandible demonstrated counterclockwise rotation, the maximum displacement occurred in the chin, respectively 1.150 mm and 2.141 mm; under vertical component 4 N, mandible rotation was not obvious, the maximum displacement of chin was only 0.188 mm.

CONCLUSIONWith the vertical component gradually decreased, the protrusion trend of chin increased; Forsus could promote the mandible counterclockwise rotation and modification when protruding mandible.

Objective To explore the influencing factors of sub-health status among the migrant workers in Dongguan City.Methods A total of 740 migrant workers in Dongguan city were extracted by the stratified random sampling method.The SubHealth Measurement Scale Version 1.0(SHMS V 1.0) was adopted to test the health status.The data were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results The univariate analysis showed that the marital status,average daily working time,monthly family per capita income,living conditions,drinking,breakfast,nutritional status,vigils,living conditions satisfaction,sedentary desk operation and experiencing negative events had statistical significance(P＜0.05).In the Logistic regression analysis:average daily working time,vigils and experiencing negative events were the risk factors of sub-health status occurrence,their odds ratio(OR) and 95 ％ confidence interval(CI)were 1.971(1.211,3.205),2.183(1.378,3.459) and 2.135(1.353,3.369),respectively.Breakfast and nutritional status were the protective factors of sub-health status occurrence,their OR and 95 ％ CI were 0.706 (0.526,0.947) and 0.386(0.239,0.625),respectively.Conclusion The unhealthy living habits and experiencing negative events affect the health of migrant workers in Dongguan City.

Background: Serum immunoglobulin A antibodies against Epstein–Barr virus (EBV), viral capsid antigen (VCA?IgA) and early antigen (EA?IgA), are used to screen for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in endemic areas. However, their routine use has been questioned because of a lack of specificity. This study aimed to determine the distributions of different subtypes of antibody and to illustrate how the natural variation patterns affect the specificity of screening in non?NPC participants. Methods: The distribution of baseline VCA?IgA was analyzed between sexes and across 10?year age groups in 18,286 non?NPC participants using Chi square tests. Fluctuations in the VCA?IgA level were assessed in 1056 non?NPC participants with at least two retests in the first 5?year period (1987–1992) after the initial screening using the Kaplan–Meier method. Results: The titers of VCA?IgA increased with age (P < 0.001). Using a previous serological definition of high NPC risk, nasopharyngeal endoscopy and/or nasopharyngeal biopsy would be recommended in 55.5% of the non?NPC partici?pants with an initial VCA?IgA?positive status and in 20.6% with an initial negative status during the 5?year follow?up. However, seroconversions were common; 85.2% of the participants with a VCA?IgA?positive status at baseline con?verted to negative, and all VCA?IgA?negative participants changed to positive at least once during the 5?year follow?up. The EA?IgA status had a high seroconversion probability (100%) from positive to negative; however, it had a low probability (19.6%) from negative to positive. Conclusions: Age? and sex?specific cutoff titer values for serum anti?EBV antibodies as well as their specific titer fluc?tuation patterns should be considered when defining high NPC risk criteria for follow?up diagnostics and monitoring.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the value of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for women with advanced gestational age but normal measurement for nuchal translucency (NT). METHODS: A total of 9371 singleton pregnancies with negative NT screening at early pregnancy were reviewed. Among these, 8627 cases were selected to be screened again by NIPT, and their indications and results were analyzed. The results were compared with those of with other high risk factors and young gestational age. RESULTS: The incidence of fetal aneuploidies increased in women with advanced gestational age and ultrasound soft markers, in particular among those who were negative for NT screening but over the age of 37. The detection rate of pathological or likely pathological copy number variations was 1.88% among women who directly underwent invasive prenatal diagnosis because of the advanced age, but there was no correlation with the increase of age. 0.68% of the women where with negative NT screening and NIPT still need to undergo invasive prenatal diagnosis. CONCLUSION After NT screening in early pregnancy, NIPT can replace invasive prenatal diagnosis for those below the age of 37, though there is still a possibility of missed detection of pathogenic copy number variation. It is necessary to strengthen ultrasonic monitoring in later period.
