Aim To investigate the impact of UVA on expression of tumour necrosis factor related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) and study the role of TRAIL in UVA-induced apoptosis of HaCaT cells as well as the influence of Polypeptide from Chlamys farreri(PCF)on TRAIL apoptotic pathway induced by UVA.Methods Cells were divided into five groups: control group, UVA model group,UVA+5.69 mmol?L-1 PCF group, UVA+2.84 mmol?L-1 PCF group, UVA+1.42 mmol?L-1 PCF group.Expression level of TRAIL mRNA was assayed by Real-Time PCR.Western blot analysis was used to determine the protein level of TRAIL and caspase-8 activation. The effect of TRAIL neutralization antibody on UVA-induced apoptosis was also investigated.Results TRAIL mRNA and protein levels increased after 8 J?cm-2 UVA radiation and the discrepancy was significant compared with control group(P

Analysis of cellular pathways and networks in terms of logic relations is important to decipher the networks of molecular interactions that underlie cellular function.A computational approach for identifying lower and higher order gene logic associations was presented on the base of graph coloring theory and applied it to the colon cancer mRNA microarray data.Then the logic relationships of 51 oncogenes and cancer suppressor genes are analyzed and the logic association network of them was constructed.The signal pathway of TGF? from the network model was found and verified by the colon cancer pathway of KEGG.The model reveals many higher order logic relationships of cancer genes.These relationships illustrate the complexities that arise in cancer cellular networks because of interacting pathways.The results show that this method is feasible and is expected to give a reference to the medical molecular biologist.
4.Preliminary study of pathogenesis on respiratory syncytial virus-related asthma

Objective To explore the underlying mechanism of respiratory syncytial virus-related asthma .Methods Totally 30 sprague-dawley rats were randomly divided into control group ,respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) group ,and anti-NGF group ,with 10 in each group .RSV infection model was established by nasal drip once a week .In anti-NGF antibody intervention group ,each rat was given intraperitoneal injection of anti-NGF for 3 h before identical RSV infection .transmission electron microscopy(TEM) were performed to observe the ultramicro-structure changes in adrenal medullary cell .The concentrations of adrenaline and NGF in serum were measured by ELISA .The NGF expression was assayed by immunohistochemistry .The expression difference of neurofilament protein mRNA was detected by RT-PCR .Results (1) Electron microscope showed ,medullary cells riched in mitochondria ,Chro-maffin granule concentration decreased obviously ,and membrane could saw clubbing phenomenon of neurite outgrowth clearly in RSV infection group .Meanwhile ,NGF expression was significantly increased in RSV infection group .(2) ELISA results showed that the concentrations of NGF in the RSV group was significantly increased compared with control group and anti-NGF group(P<0 .05) ,while the concentrations of NGF showed no difference between control group and anti-NGF group(P> 0 .05) .Compared with control group ,the adrenaline concentration of RSV group and anti-NGF group was significantly decreased(P<0 .01) ,and the adrenaline concentration of RSV group was significantly decreased compared with anti-NGF antibody group(P<0 .05) .(3) NF-LmRNA expression was significantly increased in RSV group .However ,compared with control group ,the NF-LmRNA expression was significantly decreased in anti-NGF group .(4) RT-PCR results show that ,Compared with control group ,adrenal medullary cells NF-LmRNA expression of RSV group and the anti-NGF group was significantly increased .Compared with RSV group ,NF-LmRNA adrenal medulla cells in Anti-NGF group was significantly decreased .Conclusion RSV infection may induce the adrenal medullary cell differentiation to nerve cell by over-expressed NGF ,and result in the decrease of adrenaline in serum to involve in asthma progression .

6.Observation of senile osteoporosis treated by calcitonin

Objective To observe the effect of calcitonin on senile osteoporosis. Methods Eighty-six osteoporotic patients diagnosed by double-energy X-ray absorptiometry and manifested clinical symptoms and with spinal bone mineral density (BMD) 2 or more were divided into two groups: 46 patients in the observed group were administered 100 IU calcitonin once a day for three days, and changed to 50IU calcitonin once every other day for one month; repeat the administeration method after one month rest and plus oral calcium carbonate vitamin D 600 mg every day for a period of 6 months; another 40 patients in the control group only took calcium carbonate vitamin D 600 mg every day for 6 months. The BMD of L1-4 and hips was examined before and after treatment. Results Bone pain relieving was more obviously in the observed group than that in the control group. 7.The status of patentable invention by nursing professionals in recent years

Objective To understand the current status of nursing patentable invention.Methods The patent literature published in nursing journals from 2010 to 2013 were analyzed to obtain related information.Results The results show an increasing trend in the number of patents of patient care;patent inventor distributed in 25 provinces and municipalities, mainly level 3 hospitals (89.86%), nurses with undergraduate degree (76.76%) and senior nurses (50.28%).The patents focused on the life care appliances (such as improved disease clothing, toilet equipments, the cleaning utensils, cutlery improvement, etc.), infusion, injection therapy appliance (such as infusion sets, syringes, dosing auxiliary device, infusion fixtures, etc.), airway care paraphernalia, washing, and drainage equipments, etc.Of all the nursing patents, utility model patents accounted for majority, and only 3 of them were invention patents.Conclusions The trend of nursing patentable invention show good momentum, but the quality needs to be improved.The innovation training for nurses is necessary;and it is also important to increase support to establish an innovation environment.
8.Application of case-based learning in functional experiment

Objective To examine the teaching effects of case-based learning in the class of functional experiment. Methods Students (n=139) of five-year clinical medicine specialty were ran-domly divided into control group (n=70) and case group (n=69). The students of control group were taught with traditional teaching method and the case-based learning was adapted in the case group. Namely the clinical cases were led into teaching and the teaching process was completed through case import, problem sets, and the literature review and discussion. The teaching effects were evaluated through questionnaire survey (Analysis by the χ2-test, the test level is 0.05) and the analysis of test scores (Analysis by the t-test, the test level is 0.05). Results The score of the case group was better than the control group in the operation test (P=0.042 0). The total evaluating score and test score were also better in the case group in comparing to the control group (P=0.007 8 or P=0.008 2). As indicated by the questionnaire survey, more than 80%students thought the case teaching method could improve their learning interests and the independent learning abilities. Moreover, the skills of problem analysis and knowledge application were increased through case teaching. Conclusion The teaching effects of case-based learning were superior to the traditional teaching.
9.The role of microRNA-219-2-3p in Gastric Cancer and the underlying mechanism

Objective To evaluate the role of miR219‐2‐3p in gastric cancer and the underlying mechanisms .Methods Real time RT‐PCR was employed to quantify the expression level of miR219‐2‐3p in matched tissues of 82 patients .In vitro cell proliferation , the expression of tumorgenesis related protein ERK1/2 was performed by overexpressing miR‐219‐2‐3p in gastric cancer cell line MGC803 .Results The expression level of miR‐219‐2‐3p significantly decreased in late stage gastric cancer (P< 0 .05) .The cell proliferation rate was significantly reduced in gastric cancer cell lines overexpressing miR‐219‐2‐3p .Furthermore ,the expression level of p‐ERK that activated form of ERK was significantly decreased whereas the total level of ERK was unchanged after overex‐pressing of miR‐219‐2‐3p in MGC803 cell lines .The expression level of p‐ERK was also increased in gastric cancer tissues .Conclu‐sion miR‐219‐2‐3p may acts as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer by decreasing the activity of ERK 1/2 signaling pathway .
