Accurate clinical staging of cervical cancer before treatment is very important for making treatment decisions,monitoring therapy effect,forecasting the prognosis,and adjusting treatment plan.The metabolic changes in the primary tumor and metastases of cervical cancer could be clearly detected by 18FFDG PET/CT whole body imaging,which helps to guide the clinical staging,treatment options,and is conducive to monitoring the therapeutic efficacy and prognosis.

Anionic surfactants in waters were determined using on-line double microporous membrane extraction-flow injection analysis method. This method was based on the extraction of the ion-association complex (λ_(max)=650 nm) which formed from methylene blue cation and anionic surfactants. The on-line double microporous membrane liquid-liquid extraction phase separators were adopted. Optimization of variables of the flow injection manifold, groove mechanical dimension of the phase separator, and pore size of the membrane was performed. The proposed method had a linear range of 25.0-1000.0 μg/L(r≥0.999). The detection limit was 4.28 μg/L. The relative standard deviation(n=7) of different concentration was 0.7%-6.0%. The recovery was between 96%-110% and the sample throughput was 18 h-1. The method was applied to the analysis of standard Reference materials with satisfactory results. For practical application, two water samples were analyzed with the established method.

Objective To study the one-month and one-year effect of 2006' Fujian International "Quit&Win" Competition,and to explore the influencing factors for smoking-quitting behaviors.Methods A equidistant sampling survey was conducted among the 4619 participants at the end of one-month and one-year after the competition by telephone,mailing and face to face interview.The survey contents include personal information,smoking-quitting and relapse information.The data were input with EPIDA3.1 software,?2 test and logistic stepwise regression were done with SPSS 11.5.Result The rate of smoking-quitting sustained for one-month was 51.9%,and the rate of smoking-quitting sustained for one-year was 38.0%.With one-way Chi-square test,the influencial factor on smoking-quitting succession for one-month was their intention of joining in the competition(?2=75.799,P=0.000);and the influencing factors on smoking-quitting succession for one-year were cigarette consumption per day(?2=9.953,P=0.019),their intention of joining in the competition(?2=52.227,P=0.000) and the method of smoking-quitting(?2=7.882,P=0.019).With logistic regression analysis,the influencial factors on smoking-quitting succession for one-month were age,their intention of joining in the competition and the method of smoking-quitting,the OR values were 0.98(0.964～0.997),1.198(1.195～3.080) and 2.812(2.152～3.675),respectively;the influencial factors on smoking-quitting succession for one-year were marriage,cigarette consumption per day,their intention of joining in the competition and the method of smoking-quitting,the OR values were 1.915(1.085～3.381),0.720(0.546～0.951),0.529(0.330～0.847),3.171(2.233～4.501) and 1.901(1.294～2.793),respectively.The major factors for relapse were the surrounding people smoking,lack of support,et al.Conclusion The 2006' Fujian International "Quit & Win" Competition gained a great success and has important significance for smoking-control work.

Objective To explore the correlation between the patients with hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma of the selective neck lymph dissection of lymph nodes detected quantity and prognosis.Methods Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 96 cases underwent selective dissection of cervical lymph node in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the hypopharynx.Results All patients with unilateral selective neck dissection of lymph nodes detected a number of 19.3 ± 11.0,the number of positive lymph nodes 0.8 ± 0.6.Preoperative radiotherapy patients (43 eases) was detected in lymph nodes and the number of positive lymph nodes was 13.8 ± 7.9 and 0.2 ± 0.2,without radiotherapy patients (53 cases) of lymph nodes detected number 23.2 ± 11.9 and 1.0 ± 0.2,the comparison between the two (P ＜ 0.01).According to the number of positive lymph nodes were divided into ≤ 15 group (42 cases) and ＞ 15 group (54 cases),＞ 15 group,the overall survival rate at 3 years and 3 years disease free survival rate and neck control rate was significandy higher than that of ≤ 15 group [70.4％(38/54) vs.38.1％(16/42),61.1％(33/54) vs.33.3％ (14/42),96.3％(52/54) vs.76.2％(32/42)] (P ＜ 0.01 or ＜ 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that lymph nodes detected a number ＞ 15 was the survival rate of the independent risk factors for overall survival in patients with and without effect (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Selective neck dissection of lymph nodes detected number can be used to predict prognosis in patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the hypopharynx.

Background:More and more evidences suggest that microRNA plays an important role in the development of gastric cancer (GC).Expression of miR-129 in GC tissues is found abnormal, however, the mechanism of miR-129 in cell proliferation and invasion is still undefined.Aims:To investigate the expression of miR-129 in GC tissue and GC cell lines and the mechanism of miR-129 in proliferation and invasion of SGC-7901 cells.Methods:Eighty-two GC tissues and corresponding paracancerous tissues were collected, human gastric epithelial cell line and different GC cell lines were cultured, qPCR was conducted to assess miR-129 expression.SGC-7901 cells were transfected with miR-129 mimic or miR-NC, and then were transfected with overexpressed HMGA2 plasmid.Colony formation assay was used to detect cell proliferation ability, and Transwell chamber was used to assess cell invasion ability.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between miR-129 and HMGA2 mRNA expression.Luciferase assay was performed to determine the activity of luciferase.mRNA and protein expressions of miR-129, HMGA2 were determined by qPCR and Western blotting, respectively.Results:Compared with paracancerous tissues, expression of miR-129 was significantly decreased in GC tissues (P<0.05);when compared with human gastric epithelial cells, expression of miR-129 was significantly decreased in GC cell lines (P<0.05).Compared with miR-NC group, proliferation and invasion abilities of SGC-7901 cells were inhibited in miR-129 mimic group (P<0.05).HMGA2 mRNA expression in GC tissues was significantly upregulated (P<0.05), and was negatively correlated with miR-129 expression (r=-0.543 9, P<0.01).Luciferase activity in wild-type miR-129 mimic group was significantly lower than that in miR-NC group (P<0.05);mRNA and protein expressions of HMGA2 were decreased after transfection with miR-129 mimic (P<0.05).Compared with miR-129+vector group, proliferation and invasion of SGC-7901 cells were significantly increased in miR-129 mimic+HMGA2 group (P<0.05).Conclusions:The expression of miR-129 is decreased in GC tissue and cells;miR-129 inhibits SGC-7901 cells proliferation and invasion by negatively regulating HMGA2.

Background: Esophageal variceal bleeding is a clinical emergency and the major cause of death in patients with liver cirrhosis.Aims: To assess the value of platelet count (PC)/spleen diameter (SD) ratio in predicting the presence of esophageal varices (EV) in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis in China.Methods: A total of 91 consecutive HBV-related cirrhosis patients with EV from Aug.2013 to Dec.2015 at Renji Hospital (South Campus),School of Medicine,Shanghai Jiao Tong University were enrolled.Thirty-two HBV-related cirrhosis patients without EV were enrolled as controls.Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy,routine laboratory examinations and abdominal ultrasonography were performed and the related parameters were collected.Binary Logistic regression analysis was carried out to identify independent risk factors associated with EV.ROC curve was used to evaluate the predictive performance of PC/SD ratio for the presence of EV.Results: The PC/SD ratio was significantly lower in EV group than in non-EV group (538.2±327.0 vs.1 105.9±426.6,P=0.001).Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that the PC/SD ratio was independently associated with the presence of EV (OR=57.29,95％ CI: 15～214,P=0.000).In ROC curve analysis,the area under the curve (AUC) of PC/SD ratio in predicting the presence of EV was 0.853;the optimal cutoff value was 842,and the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 85.7％,75.0％,90.7％,and 64.9％,respectively.Conclusions: PC/SD ratio can be used as a non-invasive tool for prediction of the presence of EV in patients with HBV-related cirrhosis.It may reduce the number of unnecessary endoscopy.

Objectives A new method for the detection of PCR ampli fied DNA in capillary electrophoresis and laser induced fluorescence (CE LIF) system based on molecular beacons hybridization is described.Methods The method is based on the hybridization of molecular beacons into the amplification product, then separating the hybridized product with CE LIF system. This method was applied to the detection of p73exon3, p53exon5 and p16exon2 for gastric carcinoma. Results Detected with CE LIF molecular beacons method, the wild type percent of p73exon3 is 100%, same as SSCP; p53exon5 is 60 0%, while SSCP is 63 3%, P=0 99; p16exon2 is 20 0%, same as SSCP(20 0%).Conclusion The results demonstrate that the specific peaks appeared in wild type samples while no peaks or unspecific peaks in mutation ones. The results showed correlation with the results of PCR SSCP. The method is able to develope as a clinical screening method for tumor suppressor genes to diagnose carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the value of roentgen stereophotogrammetric analysis (RSA) in assessing early migration of femoral implant after total hip arthroplasty (THA) with modular prostheses.Methods From May 2009 to April 2010,37 patients underwent THA with modular prostheses inour hospital,including 25 males and 12 females,aged from 58 to 72 years (average,60.23±5.64 years).There were 32 cases of degenerative osteoarthritis,3 cases of femoral neck fracture and 2 cases of developmental dysplasia of the hip.The Harris hip score and RSA were used to assess the clinical results and the migration of femoral implant at 3,6,12,24 months postoperatively,respectively.Results The average Harris hip score improved from preoperative 26.36 ±10.56 to 78.24±12.72,84.51±16.05,86.72±9.34,and 87.55±8.97 at 3,6,12,and 24 months after operation,respectively,and the differences between pre-and post-operative Harris score were significant.There was no prosthetic revision,and slight thigh pain occurred in 3 patients.According to RSA,the degree of initial migration of femoral implant had large individual differences,and the initial migration was higher from 3 to 6 months after operation.Clinical and biological stabilization was achieved in 36 patients,while progressive migration was found in 1 patient.There was a positive correlation between the distal migration and posterior migration within 24 months after operation (r=0.3,P=0.01).The distal migration and posterior migration/rotation mainly occurred within 3 months after operation.There was no correlation between prosthetic size/offset and degree of migration of implant.Conclusion RSA provides an objective reference for assessing the migration of femoral implant after THA with modular prostheses,which is a reliable method to evaluate early implant stability.

Objective To provide a reference for local best practice information sheet by way of analyzing the status quo of adult peripheral venous catheters nursing and maintenance.Methods Systematically analyzing the related 487 documents met the inclusion criteria in CBMdisc,CNKI Database and WanFang Database from the year of 1990 to 2013 by biliometric analysis methods.Results The number of documents,rising year after year,stood mainly in nursing journals,of which the majority authors are from Guangdong [10.3％(50/487)],Anhui [9.0％(44/487)] and Hubei [7.6％(37/487)].50.3％ (245/487)of the documents did not refer in particular to the object.The three major research concerns are the prevention and treatment of complications[80.9％(394/487)],cannulation [23.6％(115/487)] and maintenance [19.9％ (97/487)].Conclusions Peripheral venous catheter cannulation and maintenance has gained widespread attention among the domestic clinical staffs,but the overall quality of articles concerning these aspects is not high.High-quality research papers are expected to provide better evidence for local best practice information sheet.

In 34 hypothalamic slices of rats, spontaneous discharging of 63 paraventricular neurons was extracellulariy recorded by glass microelectrode. When the slices were perfused with artificial cerebrospinal fluid (ACSF) containing noradrenaline (NA) (10-6 mol/L), firing rates of 20 units significantly increased, those of 8 units decreased or even ceased, and those of 35 units, not affected. When low Ca2+ high Mg2+-ACSF was applied to block synaptic transmission, of 20 units which were excited by NA, 14 units still had excitatory responses and 6 units had no significant response to NA. When synaptic transmission was blocked, of 8 units which were inhibited by NA, 7 units still had inhibitory responses and only one unit had no significant response to NA. The results of this experiment strongly suggest the existence of direct effects of NA on paraventricular neurons.
