1.Empathy deficiency and its influencing factors of patients with schizophrenia

Objective To investigate the features of empathy deficiency of the patients with schizophrenia, and to analyze the relationship between empathy ability, clinical symptoms, and social function.Methods The patients with first-episode schizophrenia (n=30)and the normal controls (n=30)were selected.Interpersonal Reactivity Index-C(IRI-C),Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS),and the Scale of Social Function in Psychosis Inpatients (SSPI )were used to measure the score of empathy, mental symptoms and the social ability;the total score of empathy and the scores of four scales in two groups were compared;the relationships between the empathy ability score and clinical symptom score,social function score in patients group were analyzed.Results The IRI-C score of the patients in schizophrenia patients group was lower than that in normal control group (P<0.05).The schizophrenia patients with higher PANSS negative syndromes had the lower IRI-C score, and serious empathy deficiency;there was negative correlation between empathy ability and PANSS negative syndrome in schizophrenia patients group(r=-0.572,P<0.01);the IRI-C score wasn’t correlated with SSPI score(r=0.166,P>0.05) in schizophrenia patients group. Conclusion The first-episode schizophrenia patients have empathy deficiency, which is affected by the negative syndromes. The more severe negative symptoms of the patients are,the worse empathy ability is.
2.The Role of Antidepressants in the Treatment of Functional Dyspepsla

Objective:To evalute the role of antidepressants in the treatment of functional dyspepsia.Methods:Separated 50 functional dyspepsia(FD)patients into 2 groups by random.Then treated the antidepressant group antidepressants,while the antidyspepsia group was treated with drugs to cure primary digestive system disease by individual principle.And both groups were treated with supportive psychotherapy.The therapy continued for 8 weeks.Mental and symptoms state evaluation was done before and after treatment by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and by symptoms.Results:There was significant difference in the scores of SAS and SDS between the FD groups and normal groups(P0.05).Conclusions:FD patients commonly have depression or anxiety.Antidepressants have good efficiency in treatment of FD patients who has emotional impediment both for improving somatic and psychological symptoms.
3.The effects of anticipatory and post-event information processing on perception and memory of the symptom in social anxiety disorder

Objective To study the influence of anticipatory and post-event information processing on the memories and perception of the symptom in patients with social anxiety disorder (SAD). Methods A group of 32 SAD patients and a control group of 35 healthy indivisuals were included. Instruments including Self-Rating Depression Scale, Subjective Units Discomfort Scale( SUDS ), Rumination Questionnaire ,Open-ended Recall and Body Sensations Questionnaire were adopted in both groups. Results In the group SAD, no significant difference was identified between the experimental group( (49.68 ± 17.68), ( 19.00 ± 1.25), (0. 54 ±0. 17) ) and the experimental control group( ( 50.43 ± 20.72 ), ( 18.68 ± 1.25 ), ( 0.52 ± 0.17 ) ) when the ratings the memories of body sensations, rumination, and negative self-information score were compared (P> 0.05 ). There was a significant positive correlation between the level of rumination ,SUDS, the memories of negative self-information and the body sensations scores( r= 0.72; r= 0.94; r= 0.70, P< 0.01 ). The scores of rumination explained 64% of the variation in SUDS scores(β=0.82, P<0. 01 ). Conclusion This study suggest that social anxiety is affected directly by rumination which can result in more memories of negative self-information and the body sensation. Symptoms are maintained by post-event information processing.
4.Influence of Intracerebroventricular Injection of Nociceptin/Orphanin FQ On Cerebral Infarction Volume and Somatosensory Evoked Potential in Focal Cerebral Ischemia in Rats

Oyecave:To observe the influence of nociceptin/orphanin FQ(N/OFO)on cerebral infarction volume and somatosellsOry evoked potential(SEP)in focal cerebral ischemia in rats.Methods:Forty one SD rats were randomly alloomed into middle artery occlusion(MCAO)sham-operation(n=5),isehemic(n=8),N/OFQ 10μg(n=7),N/OFQ 1 μg(n=7),N/OFQ0.1 μg(n=7),and artificiai cerebrospinal fluid(ACSF)(n=7)groups.A model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)in rats was induced using intraluminal suture method.Reperfusion was performed 2 hours after MCAO.One hour after MCAO,N/OFQ 10 μg,N/OFQ 1 μg,N/OFQ O. 1 μg,and the same volume of ACSF were injected intraventricularly in the N/OFQ 10 μg,N/OFQ 1 μg,N/OFQ 0. 1 μg,and ACSF groups,respectively. The cerebral infarction volurne was detected 24 hours after reperfusion,and SEP was recorded. Results:1he amplitude of SEP P1 decreased in the sham-operation group. There was no significant change in P1 peak latencies.There were no significant differences hetween the N/OFQ 0. 1 μg group and the ACSF group in SEP amplitudes,P1 peak lantecies and cerebral infarction volume. As compared with the ACSF group,the SEP amplitudes were further decreased in the N/OFQ 1 μg and N/OFQ 10 μg groups,but there were no significant change in P1 peak lantecies. One hour after reperfusion,the SEP amplitude in the ACSF group almost returned to the level of preischemia,the recovery slowed down in the N/OFQ 1 μg group,and it still did not recovered 3 hours after reperfusion in the N/OFQ 10 μg group. The dose of N/OFQ and SEP response showed dose-effect relationship,The higher the dose,the deeper the SEP depression and the slower the recovery. At 24 hours after reperfusion,the cerebral infarction vlumes in the shamoperation,ACSF,N/OFQ 0. 1 μg,N/OFQ 1 μg,and N/OFQ 10 μg groups were 0 mm3,24.180 ±4.088 mm3,23.090±4.523 mm3,35.304 ± 6. 824 mm3,and 40. 806±6. 716 mm3,respectively. There was no significant difference between N/OFQ 0. 1 and ACSF groups. There were significant differences between N/OFQ 1 μg and 10 μg groups and ACSF group (all P < 0.01 ). Conclusions:Intracerebroventricular injection of N/OFQ in the early stage of cerebral ischemia decreases the SEP amplitude,prolongs the time of recovery,and increases cerebral infarction volume,which shoves that it may aggravate cerebral ischemic injury.
5.Bone cementversus uncemented total hip arthroplasty in the middle-aged patients:5-year follow-up

BACKGROUND:Currently, the study of total hip arthroplasty in elderly is more. Perioperative treatment and postoperative rehabilitation are increasingly perfect, but the study of middle-aged total hip arthroplasty is less, especialy long curative effect in postoperative and long-term folow-up stil has many problems to be solved. In China, there are few studies addressing how to select the prosthesis during total hip arthroplasty in middle-aged patients, which kind or material of prosthesis is better, so the evidence for clinical application is less. OBJECTIVE:To compare and analyze the repair effects of bone cement total hip arthroplasty and uncemented total hip arthroplasty in middle-aged patients. METHODS:A total of 60 middle-aged patients who received total hip arthroplasty in the Department of Orthopedics, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2005 to January 2008 were folowed up for 5 years. Their mean age was (37±6) years. There were 32 cases undergoing uncemented total hip arthroplasty and 28 cases receiving bone cement total hip arthroplasty. At 6 months, 2 and 5 years after replacement, Harris score for recovery of limb function and imaging findings were compared and analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Harris score for recovery of limb function was significantly better in the uncemented total hip arthroplasty group than in the bone cement total hip arthroplasty group at 6 months, 2 and 5 years after replacement (P < 0.01). No complications were found at 6 months in the uncemented total hip arthroplasty group, but one case affected osteolysis at 2 years and two cases experienced prosthesis loosing at 5 years after arthroplasty. In the bone cement total hip arthroplasty group, two cases had osteolysis and one case had prosthesis loosing at 6 months after arthroplasty, three cases had prosthesis loosing at 2 years, and two cases affected linear permeability dissolvement at 5 years after arthroplasty. These findings suggest that uncemented prosthesis achieved a high rate of functional restoration and a low rate of complications in middle-aged patients. Uncemented total hip arthroplasty had satisfactory clinical and radiographic outcomes at a minimum of 5-year folow-up.
6.Effects of transfection of ICAP-1α and its mutants on adhesion and migration of 2H-11 cells.

This study examined the effect of integrin cytoplasmic domain-associated protein 1α (ICAP-1α) and its mutatants T38A and I138A on the adhesion, migration and tube formation of 2H-11 cells. rAAV-ICAP-1α, rAAV-T38A and rAAV-I138A were constructed. After infection, the expression of ICAP-1α and p-ERK1/2, p-c-Jun protein was measured by Western blotting. Adhesion ability was evaluated by using MTT. Cell migration was determined by using Boyden chamber method. Tube formation test was conducted on Matrigel. The results showed that in ICAP-1α, T38A and I138A groups, ICAP-1α protein expression was increased. In T38A and I138A groups, phospho-ERK1/2, phospho-c-Jun protein expressions were significantly increased as compared with the control group and the GFP group. ICAP-1α group protein expression was obviously decreased when compared with the control group and the GFP group. Cell adhesion ratio was 0.1429±0.0080 in control group, 0.1434±0.0077 in GFP group and the ratio in T38A and I138A groups increased to 0.3210±0.0082 and 0.3250±0.0079, respectively. In ICAP-1α group, the ratio was decreased to 0.1005±0.0073. In T38A and I138A groups, the number of migrating 2H-11 cells was increased to 31.45±3.20 and 33.10±5.40 against 18.51±2.80 in control group and 20.47±3.12 in GFP group. In ICAP-1α group, the number was decreased to 12.06±1.72. The number of tube-like structures was increased to 20.41±2.54 in T38A and to 22.26±3.07 in I138A groups as compared to those of control group 12.45±1.84 and GFP group 13.63±2.71. In ICAP-1α group, the number of tube-like structures was decreased to 8.32±1.24. It was suggested that rAAV-T38A and rAAV-I138A transfection can substantially increase 2H-11 cell adhesion, migration and angiogenisis, while rAAV-ICAP-1α can greatly inhibit the effect. These effects might be correlated with ERK1/2 and c-Jun protein phosphorylation.

Over-expression of CD151 was found to be associated with metastasis and poor prognosis of prostatic carcinoma. This study was designed to examine the mechanism by which CD151 promotes the proliferation and migration of prostatic cancer cells. The pAAV-CD151, pAAV-GFP and pAAV-CD151-AAA mutant plasmids were constructed and used to transiently transfect PC3 cells (a prostatic carcinoma 3 cell line) by the mediation of Fugene HD. Then, the cells were assigned to control group, pAAV-GFP group, pAAV-CD151 group, and pAAV-CD151-AAA group respectively. Cell proliferation was evaluated by using the 3-[4,5-dimet-hylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5, diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) method. Cell migration assay was performed by using Boyden chambers. The formation of CD151-integrin α3/α6 complex was determined by the method of co-immunoprecipitation. The protein expression levels of CD151 and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) were measured by Western blotting. The results showed that transfection of pAAV-CD151 or pAAV-CD151-AAA mutant increased the expression of CD151 protein in PC3 cells. Co-immunoprecipitation showed that more CD151-integrin α3/α6 complex was formed in the pAAV-CD151 group than in the control group, the pAAV-GFP group and the pAAV-CD151-AAA mutant group. Furthermore, the proliferative and migrating capacity of PC3 cells was substantially increased in the pAAV-CD151 group but inhibited in the pAAV-CD151-AAA mutant group. CD151 transfection increased the expression of phospho-ERK. Taken together, it was concluded that CD151 promotes the proliferation and migration of PC3 cells through the formation of CD151-integrin complex and the activation of phosphorylated ERK.
10.Effects of the intervention with enriched environment and fluoxetine on the depression-like behavior and myelin basic protein of brain tissue in rats

Objective To investigate the effects of intervention with the fluoxetine and the enriched environment on chronic stress induced depression behavior of rats,and the changes of myelin basic protein in hippocampus and prefrontal regions.Methods 50 adult male SD rats were randomly divided into control group,fluoxetine group,model group,enriched environment (EE) group and EE plus fluoxetine group.Fluoxetine group,model group,EE group and EE plus fluoxetine group underwent chronic unpredictable stress stimulus in the first to third week,and fluoxetine group,EE group,EE plus fluoxetine group underwent the intervention with EE and (or) fluoxetine in the fourth to sixth week.The changes of behavior in rats were evaluated by sucrose water consumption,open field test and weight changes.The content of MBP in each subregion of hippocampus and prefrontal regions of rats was measured with immunocytochemical methods.Results At the third weekend,the assessed behaviors of stressed rats decreased significantly compared with control group (P<0.05);and at the sixth weekend,the behaviors of stressed rats restored after treated with EE and (or) fluoxetine.The content of MBP in the rat hippocampus CA1,DG area and prefrontal area of model group declined clearly compared with control group (mean density of model group orderly:0.199±0.024,0.204±0.021,0.225±0.028;control group orderly:0.279±0.034,0.288±0.043,0.308±0.053,P<0.05).The content of MBP in the rat of fluoxetine group,EE group and EE plus fluoxetine group increased obviously compared with model group (fluoxetine group orderly:0.259± 0.047,0.266± 0.052,0.284 ± 0.031;EE group orderly:0.257±0.038,0.258±0.042,0.286±0.037;EE plus fluoxetine group orderly:0.271± 0.046,0.279±0.040,0.289±0.041,P<0.05).Conclusion The depression-like behavior of rats induced by chronic unpredictable stress is associated with the change of the content of MBP in hippocampal CA1,DG area and prefrontal area;and the depression-like behavior and the content of MBP decrease are reversed after the intervention with fluoxetine and EE.
