Objective To evaluate and compare 3 kinds of cecocolon urinary reservoir. Methods Penn pouch,indiana pouch or detenial cecocolon reservoir has been performed for 37 patients.The out-come was evaluated by urodynamic and clinically. Results Good continence has been achieved in all patients with an appendiceal continence mechanism.The capacity and intrareservoir pressure of detenial cecocolon was significantly different from penn or indiana pouch 3 months postoperatively (P0.05).The intrareservoir pressure on contraction was lower with penn pouch. Conclusions The penn or modified indiana pouch is better and more ideal as an urinary reservoir whereas the detenial cecocolon pouch is technically simpler.

BACKGROUND:Distal femoral fractures are mainly treated with less invasive stabilization system (LISS) plate or retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail fixation, but choosing which method is controversial, and studies on their biomechanical properties are few. OBJECTIVE:To compare the biomechanical stability of retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail and LISS plate fixation in the treatment of distal femoral fractures. METHODS:Twelve male cadaveric femurs were col ected, and the injured, with abnormal bone density and osteonosus specimens were excluded through X-ray examination, fol owed by randomly divided into two groups. Models of AO type A3 supracondylar fracture were prepared, and were fixed with LISS plate and retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail, respectively. The compressive stiffness and displacement values under axial compression and loading of 100, 300 and 500 N, as wel as the bending strength of the specimens under bending load were observed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The resistance to axial deformation capacity (compressive stiffness) of the LISS plate was superior to the retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail (P<0.05);while the resistance to bending deformation capacity (flexural strength) of the retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail was not significantly greater than that of the LISS plate (P>0.05). (2) Under axial compressive loading of 100, 300 and 500 N, the displacement values of LISS plate were significantly less than those of the retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail (P<0.05). (3) In conclusion, in the distal femoral fracture fixation, the stiffness of the retrograde interlocking intramedul ary nail is low. While the LISS plate not only has certain deformation, but also has strong rigidity with firm internal fixation, which provides excel ent biological environment for fracture healing;thus it is a reliable treatment for distal femoral fractures.

Objective To evaluate the long term curative effects of radiotherapy combined with photodynamic therapy on the advanced esophageal cancer.Methods From Oct 1991 to Dec 1992, 60 patients with advanced esophageal cancer were randomly divided into two groups, 30 patients received conventional radiotherapy alone (CRT), the other 30 cases received radiotherapy combined with photodynamic therapy (PRT). After PRT the total dose of 40Gy,for 4 weeks the hematoporphyrin derivate(HpD) was given using 5mg/kg body intravenously and after 48 and 72 hours,the location of lesion were irradiation by 630-nm red light with 400～500mW/cm 2. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of rosuvastatin combined with berberine hydrochloride on related indexes in patients with acute cerebral infarction.METHODS:Medical information of 120 patients diagnosed as acute ischemic cerebral infarction were analyzed retrospectively,and they divided into observation group (65 cases) and control group (55 cases) according to route of administration.Both groups were given routine treatment;control group was additionally given Rosuvastatin calcium tablets 10 mg orally before bedtime,once a day;observation group was additionally given Berberine hydrochloride tablets 0.3 g orally,3 times a day,on the basis of control group.Treatment courses of 2 groups lasted for 14 d.The levels of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,hs-CRP,ox-LDL,NIHSS score,ADL score,TPA,IMT,Crouse score,the number of unstable plaque and ADR were observed and compared between 2 groups before and after treatment.RESULTS:Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in above indexes between 2 groups (P＞0.05).After treatment,the serum levels ofTC,TG,LDL-C,hs-CRP and ox-LDL in 2 groups were significantly lower than before,and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group,with statistical significance (P＜0.05).After treatment,NIHSS score of 2 groups were significantly lower than before,and ADL score,HDL-C levels were significantly higher than before,with statistical significance (P＜0.05);there was no statistical significance between 2 groups (P＞0.05).After treatment,there was no statistical significance in IMT,Crouse score and the number of unstable plaque in control group compared to before treatment (P＞0.05),but in observation group were significantly lower than before treatment,and also lower than control group at corresponding period,with statistical significance (P＜0.05).There was no statistical significance in TPA between 2 groups before and after treatment(P＞0.05).There was no statistical significance in the indcidence of ADR between 2 groups during treatment(P＞0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Based on routine treatment,rosuvastatin combined with berberine hydrochloride could effectively reduce blood lipid levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction,stabilize or reverse atherosclerotic plaque,and reduce inflammation and oxidative stress with good safety.

Objective:To investigate the value of prenatal ultrasound combined with MRI in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of fetal pulmonary sequestration.Methods: The prenatal examination data of 9 cases with pulmonary sequestration confirmed by autopsy and postnatal follow-up was analyzed retrospectively. All fetuses were examined by MR examination performed within 24 hours after ultrasound examination. The results of prenatal ultrasound and MRI were analyzed, and the results were compared with the follow up results.Results: The diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound was 77.78%(7/9), 2 cases were misdiagnosed(one case was misdiagnosed as abdominal mass and one case as pulmonary cystadenoma). The diagnostic accuracy of MRI was 100%.Conclusion: Prenatal ultrasound is the primary method for pulmonary sequestration. As the supplement, MR can display directly the location, shape, size of the lesion. There is high value in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of fetal pulmonary sequestration. The combination of ultrasound and MRI can further improve the diagnostic accuracy of the disease.

Two patients who developed typical skin eruptions 24 hours after consumption of shiitake mushrooms are reported.Case 1:a 56-year-old woman suddenly developed widespread itching eruptions one day after intake of shiitake mushrooms.On examination,there were erythematous and edematous linear streaks (flagellate erythema) over the neck,trunk and limbs.Case 2:a 60-year-old man presented with edematous flagellate erythema over the trunk and limbs for four days.He reported intake of shiitake mushroom several days prior to the presentation.Pathological examination revealed focal parakeratosis,intracellular and intercellular edema in the prickle cell layer,severe edema of papillary dermis,evident widening of interfibrous spaces,dilation and congestion of capillaries in the superficial dermis with a mixed perivascular infiltrate of massive lymphocytes and sparse neutrophils.Both patients were diagnosed with shiitake dermatitis,and treated with prednisone and antihistamines.The lesions subsided after 3 and 4 days of treatment in patient 1 and 2 respectively.

Objective To investigate the roles of high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HR-MRI) in the diagnosis and treatment of vertebrobasilar dissecting aneurysms (VBDA).Methods From January 2016 to December 2016,62 patients with VBDA admitted to Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University using 3.0 T HR-MRI (3D-TOF-MRA,3D-T1WI,and 3D-T1WI+C sequence) and diagnosed by DSA were analyzed retrospectively.They were divided into either an asymptomatic group (n=18) or a symptomatic group (n=44) according to their medical histories.Their clinical features,imaging features,and the relationship with prognosis were analyzed.Results HR-MRI revealed that the double lumen sign/intimal flap accounted for 27.8% (n=5) and 54.5% (n=24) respectively in the asymptomatic group and symptomatic group.The intramural hematoma accounted for 22.2% (n=4) and 43.2% (n=19) respectively in both groups.The enhancement of aneurysmal wall accounted for 33.3% (n=6) and 77.3% (n=34) in the asymptomatic group and symptomatic group.There were significant differences in the above features between the two groups (all P<0.05).In the symptomatic group,18.2% (n=8) of patients had aneurysm recurrence,which was significantly higher than the asymptomatic group (5.6%,n=1).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions HR-MRI can better reveal the lesion characteristics of VBDA.The rates of aneurysmal wall enhancement and recurrence in symptomatic VBDAs are higher,which indicates that HR-MRI can assess the stability of the aneurysmal wall and identify the prognosis to a certain extent.

Objective To study the technology of supercritical fluid CO_2 extraction(SFE CO_2) on urosolic acid from Cornus officinalis.Methods The effects of pressure,temperature,time,CO_2 flow rate types,and volume of entrainer on the urosolic acid extracts were studied. The optium conditions for SFE CO_2 was determined.The technology of SFE CO_2 was compared with that of traditional solvent extraction.Results The optium extraction conditions were as follows: pressure 35.0 MPa,temperature 318 K,absolute ethyl alcohol entrainer,content 4%,time 3 h and flow rate of CO_2 8 kg/h.Conclusion SFE CO_2 excels the traditional solvent extraction in yield,safety and efficiency.
