OBJECTIVE:To study the impacts of Zishenyutai pills on the ovarian tissue oxidative damage and Nrf2 protein ex-pression in rats exposed by electromagnetic radiation (EMR). METHODS:Accordiny to their weight,30 SD rats were randomly divided into normal group,radiated group and radiated-treated group with 10 rats in each group. Normal group were not radiated, and other 2 groups were exposed by 900 MHz radiation for 4 h every day;radiated-treated group was given Zishenyutai pills sus-pension [0.25 g intragstrically(medicinal materials)/ml] after radiation;normal group and radiated group were given constant vol-ume of normal saline intragastrically for consecutive 20 d. The rats were killed when they were at the estrum. The Nrf2 proteins ex-pression of ovary were detected by immunohistochemical method,the content of ovary MDA(malondialdehyde),and activity of to-tal superoxide dismutase (T-SOD) and superoxide dismutase (GSH-Px) were detected by biochemical method. RESULTS:Com-pared with the rats in normal group,the Nrf2 protein expression was higher in the rats of the radiated group;the content of ovary MDA was higher and activity of ovary T-SOD and GSH-Px were lower significantly(P<0.05). While compared with the rats in ra-diated group,the Nrf2 protein expression didn’t obviously change in the rats of the radiated-treated group(P>0.05),the content of ovary MDA was lower and activity of ovary T-SOD and GSH-Px were higher significantly (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Zish-enyutai pills can prevent and cure ovary tissue oxidative injury induced by 900 MHz radiation,but have no effect on the expression of Nrf2 protein.

Objective To evaluate the lung V/Q imaging in the diagnosis of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).Methods Seventy-six patients (46 males,30 females,age 27-84 y) with clinically suspected CTEPH who had undergone lung V/Q imaging,CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA),pulmonary angiography (PA) and right heart cardiac catheterization were studied.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of lung V/Q imaging in detecting CTEPH were calculated and compared with those of CTPA.The x2 test was used for statistical analysis with SPSS 11.5.The distribution of involvement of segments in 47 patients with CTEPH was analyzed.Results Forty-seven patients had a final diagnosis of CTEPH and 29 had non-CTEPH etiology.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of lung V/Q imaging were 97.9％ (46/47),86.2％ (25/29),93.4％ (71/76),92.0％ (46/50) and 96.2％ (25/26),while those of CTPA were 78.7％ (37/47),93.1％ (27/29),84.2％ (64/76),94.9％ (37/39) and 73.0％ (27/37),respectively.The sensitivity (x2 =5.818,P=0.012) and negative predictive value (x2 =5.693,P =0.017) for lung V/Q imaging were significantly higher than those of CTPA.V/Q imaging could identify patients with CTEPH from those with idiopathic PAH and familial PAH based on the almost normal ventilation imaging.The lung perfusion SPECT imaging detected 585 (62.2％) of involved segments among 940 segments in 47 patients with CTEPH,with an average of 12.4 involved segments in each patient.The number of involved segments in the right lung was significantly higher than that in the left lung (36.2％ (340/940) vs 26.1％ (245/940) ; x2 =40.85,P＜0.01).Conclusions Lung V/Q imaging plays an important role in diagnosis of CTEPH and in identification of CTEPH from other types of PAH.A normal V/Q imaging can effectively exclude CTEPH.In addition,V/Q imaging can provide more diagnostic information in patients with a clinical suspicion of CTEPH who had negative results by CTPA and PA.

Objective To explore the use of the transabdominal ultrasound with different frequency scanning anterior lower segment uterine scar situation for maternal guidance .Methods Pregnant women had a history of cesarean section 323 cases, and were lower uterine segment transverse incision .Of which seven cases of cesarean section were 8 months to 12 months, 49 patients 13 months to 24 months, 89 patients 25 months to 36 months, and more than 169 cases of 37 months.High-frequency ultrasound was use for ab-dominal and dynamic monitoring of different-year anterior lower segment uterine scar thickness and healing .Pregnancy outcomes ob-served were compared with surgery .Results With the extension of cesarean time , grade I uterine scar was also increased to 25~36 months (2 years ) which was the most obvious , and grade II and III scars were reduced accordingly .When group 25~36 months was used as the control group , there was statistically significant difference relative to group 8 ~12 months and 13 ~24 months ( P <0.01), but was no significant difference relative to group >37 months ( P >0.05).Among 323 cases, seven cases had uterine rup-ture that was confirmed by surgery with a rupture rate of about 2.1%.The rupture rate was about 28.6%in group 8~12 months, a-bout 2%in group 13~24 months, about 1.0%in group 25~36 months, and about 1.2%in group >37 months.When group 25~36 months was used as the control group , there was statistically significant difference relative to groups 8~12 months and 13~24 months ( P <0.01 ) , and was no significant difference relative to group >37 months ( P >0.05 ) .Conclusions Abdominal ultra-sound with different frequency scanning can monitor the thickness and continuity of anterior lower segment uterine scar to estimate the scar healing situation , and guide uterine scar grading .Therefore, it is great significance in guiding clinical decision of motherhood ap-proach.

Objective:To investigate the syndromes distribution in patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding(DUB) related to kidney deficiency, and to provide the basis for standardizing the DUB syndrome differentiation of kidney deficiency. Methods: DUB Patients with kidney deficiency were chosen and accepted epidemical survey through the questionnaire, then the frequency and constituent ratio of each syndrome were calculated. Results: In 612 cases of DUB patients with kidney deficiency, there were 102 patients with simple syndromes covered 16.67%, and 510 patients with compound syndromes covered 83.33%. In patients with simple syndromes, the common syndromes were kidney-yin deficiency(45,44.12%) and kidney-qi deficiency(45,41.18%). And the syndromes of kidney-qi deficiency and kidney-yin deficiency were often respctively complicated with liver stagnation(68,11.09%; 113,18.43%), blood defi ciency(57,9.30%; 99,16.15%) and blood stasis(57,9.30%; 99,16.15%), the syndrome of kidney-yang deficiency usually complicated with spleen-qi deficiency(75,12.23%). The syndrome of kidney-qi deficiency(186,57.23%) was commonly-seen in the patients with ovular DUB, while the syndromes of kidney-qi(146,50.69%) and kidney-yin deficiency(111,38.54%) were frequently-seen in the patients with anovular DUB. Conclusion: In clinic, the compound syndromes were commonly seen in patients with DUB due to kidney deficiency, the complicated syndromes of kidney deficiency were liver stagnation, spleen-qi deficiency, blood deficiency and blood stasis..

Objective To investigate the diagnostic and treatment results of arteriovenous fistula of cauda equina.Methods From January 2000 to December 2015,9 Patients with arteriovenous fistula of cauda diagnosed and treated at the Department of Neurosurgery,Xuanwu Hospital,Capital Medical University were enrolled retrospectively,including 6 males and 3 females.Their ages were 17-58 (mean 39±14) years.The diagnoses were confirmed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA) or surgery (the lesions were located on the cauda equine,which were fed by the arterial supply of the nerve root,and the drainage vein flowed upward into the perimedullary vein).The clinical data,imaging data,and treatment follow-up results of the patients were analyzed.Results The patients presented with weakness of both lower extremities and disturbances of bowel movement and urination.Aminoff Logue score for spinal function was 7.2±3.2 before procedure.The median course of disease was 6.0 (4.5-18.0) months.Angiography showed that the vascular architecture types of the lesions were divided into simple fistula type and micro-nidus type.The feeding arteries were all the nerve root branches of the internal iliac artery.Three patients complicated with conical part of the intramedullary arteriovenous malformations.Eight patients were treated with endovascular embolization,one was treated by operation.No patients were treated with combined interventional surgery,and no surgery-related complications were observed.The mean follow-up duration was 20.1±6.7 months.Imaging follow-up showed that they all reached anatomic cure.Aminoff Logue score dropped to 4.6±2.8 after treatment.There were significant differences before and after treatment in Aminoff Logue score of the patients (t=4.276,P<0.05).Conclusions The nerve root arteriovenous fistula of the cauda equina can be diagnosed by DSA findings.Symptomatic patients are eligible for the indication of endovascular or surgical treatment.Anatomy and functional prognosis are satisfactory after treatment.

Objective To investigate the role and potential molecular mechanism of the radiosensitivity of esophagus cancer cells.Methods miR-141 mimics or its negative control was transfected into esophagus cancercells KYSE-150,respectively.Radiosensitivity of esophagus cancer cells was determined by CCK-8,flow cytometry and colony formation assay.The expression level of miR-141 was determined by qRT-PCR.Western blot was used to detect the expressions of proliferation-related protein Ki67 and apoptosis-related proteins Bax and Bcl-2.Results After radiation,the expression of miR-141 was decreased in KYSE-150 cells in a dose-dependent manner (t =2.57-8.96,P ＜ 0.05).Upregulation of miR-141 significantly suppressed cell proliferation and colony formation and promoted apoptosis,indicating that overexpression of miR-141 enhanced the radiosensitivity of KYSE-150 cells(t =3.24,P ＜0.05).In addition,the miR-141 mimic significantly reduced the expressions of Ki67 and Bcl-2 protein (t =6.56,8.24,P ＜ 0.01) and inhibited the expression of Bax protein compared with miR-control group (t =3.24,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusions Over-expression of miR-141 enhances the radiosensitivity of esophagus cancer cells by regulating the expressions of proliferation-related protein Ki67 and apoptosisrelated proteins Bax and Bcl-2.

The length of cervical canal was monitored by perineal ultrasonography in 377 pregnant women with 22 to 36 weeks of gestation,at the same time the contents of fibronectin (fFN) in cervical secretions were measured.The rate of cervical canal length shortening from the time of first visit to the appearance of preterm signs was calculated.When the cervical length shortening rate was 16％ ～ 60％,fFN (+) was correlated with higher preterm birth rate (P ＜0.01),while when the shorten rate ＞ 60％ there was no significant difference in preterm delivery rate between fFN (+) and fFN (-) groups (P ＞ 0.05).The results indicate that the monitoring of cervical canal length combined with fiberonectin measurement in cervical secretion may better predict pretenn birth.

Objectives To investigate the image quality,influencing factors and radiation doses of prospectively ECG-triggered spiral acquisition mode (Flash spiral mode)coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) using high-pitch dual-source CT in patients with different heart rates.Methods One hundred and thirty-four consecutive patients with mean heart rate (HR) ＞ 65 beats per minute (bpm) and ≤ 100 bpm were included in this study as group A using Flash spiral mode setting at 20％ -30％ of the R-R interval and 134 consecutive patients with mean HR ≤65 bpm were enrolled as group B using Flash spiral scan mode at 55％ of the R-R interval; 134 consecutive patients with mean HR ＞ 65 and≤100 bpm using spiral scan mode were included as group C. The image quality scores, effective radiation dose and influencing factors of image quality in three groups were assessed. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS.Results (1)The non-diagnostic coronary artery segments in group A (28/1842,1.52％) were more than in group B (8/1819,0.44％ ) ( x2 =10.97,P =0.001 ) and there was no significant difference between group A and group C (32/1838,1.74％) ( x2 =0.280,P =0.345).The number of patients with non-diagnostic coronary segments in group A( 10/134,7.5 ％ )was more than in group B (2/134,1.5 ％,x2 =5.52,P =0.018 ),while there was no significant difference between group A and group C (9/134,6.7％,x2 =0.057,P =0.812).(2)The average heart rate variability (HRV) of patients with different image scores in the three groups wcrc significantly different. In group A,the HRV of score 1,2 and 3 were (2.29 ± 1.06),(5.17 ± 1.37),(8.88 ± 1.53) bpm,respectively (F =170.402,P =0.001 ).In group B were (2.26±1.01),(5.97 ±1.82),(12.00 ±9.64) bpm,respectively (F=95.843,P=0.001).In group C were (2.61 ±1.85),(7.90 ±3.97),(11.22 ±5.62) bpm,respectively (F=68.629,P=0.001 ). (3) The average effective radiation doses in groups A and B were significant lower than in group C [ A group was 1.04 ± 0.16,B group was 1.03 ± 0.16 and C group was 7.05 ± 1.05,t =65.5 ( A vs C),P ＜0.01 ( A vs C) ].Conclusions Flash spiral mode of high-pitch dual-source provides high image quality with significant reduction of radiation exposure in patients with HR ≤ 65 bpm. Patients with heart rates ＞65 bpm and ≤100 bpm without cardiac arrhythmia can perform CCTA using Flash spiral mode with image acquisition time setting at 20％-30％ of the R-R interval.

Objective To evaluate the risk of locoregional recurrence (LRR) and the influencing factors for long-term survival in patients with epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMCa).Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for 18 EMCa patients, who received initial therapy or initial adjuvant therapy in our hospital from 1999 to 2015, to investigate their survival.Among these patients, 8(44%) underwent surgery alone, 9(50%) received adjuvant radiotherapy, and 1(6%) received radical concurrent chemoradiotherapy.Locoregional recurrence-free survival (LRFS) and overall survival (OS) rates were compared between these groups.The Kaplan-Meier mtthod was used to calculated survival rates and log-rank test was used to compare the LRFS.Results With a median follow-up time of 46 months, 5 patients developed LRR, and the 5-year LRFS and OS rates were 69% and 93%, respectively.The patients treated with radiotherapy had a significantly higher 5-year LRRFS rate than those not treated with radiotherapy (71% vs.57%, P=0.569).Conclusions LRR is the main failure mode of EMCa treatment, and further improving local control is the key to improved survival.
