Objective To identify the influencing factors for the quality and efficiency of standardized resident training in order to scientifically select and train qualified resident physicians.MethodsThe exam passing rate served as the indicator to measure the quality of training; the year(s) used to pass the exam the indicator to measure the efficiency, while such methods as descriptive study,chi-square test, logistic regression, rank sum test and stratified analysis were used for data analysis and processing. ResultsThe exam passing rate of research postgraduates is lower than clinical postgraduates, the year(s) needed to pass the exam of research postgraduates is longer than clinical postgraduates. Conclusion Clinical postgraduates deserve higher priority in selecting clinicians.Research-based postgraduates shifted to clinical work require a longer training time.
2.Recent advance in tendon tissue engineering using scaffolding biomaterials.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(2):451-454
An ideal biologically derived that tissue engineering material of tendon has biological activities and functions, so that it may lead to a perfect effect in histological reparation and reconstruction. In addition, the tissue engineering material can avoid disease transmission, be provided from variety of sources and be weak in immune responses. Generally, there are two kinds biologically derived material, i. e. natural biomaterials and purified biomaterials. In this review, researches about the effect, capability and relevant preparation methods, enhancing strategies and the development in the future are discussed.

Objective To promote professional training aid on healthcare talents in western China, this paper aims to explore methods and to evaluate the effectiveness of a new training system for underprivileged medical professionals from hospitals of western China. Methods Questionnaires and interviews were conducted to 115 trainees and their employers took part in the Counterpart Support Project.A retrospective analysis was done to evaluate key indicators of the trainees' professional competence. Results More than 90% of the trainees have seen great improvement on basic healthcare knowledge, clinical skills, and diagnosis and treatment practice.About 80% the participating hospitals have enjoyed varied degrees of growth in outpatient visits, surgical volume, number of inpatient and operational efficiency.(Increase level from 0% to 50%) Conclusions Within the frist 3 years of implementation, this new model has been proven effective to enhance participants' overall professional competence, and by tapping into the significant resource of first class hospitals, this model will help greatly promoting the development of healthcare talents in Western China.

Objective To study the effects of abiotic elicitors methyl jasmonate (MeJA) and salicylic acid (SA) on the alkaloids accumulation and related enzymes metabolism inPinellia ternata suspension cell cultures. Methods Using the leaf petioles-derived suspension cell cultures as the study object, the culture duration, concentrations of MeJA and SA were determined to get the optimal alkaloids accumulation, and the activities of metabolic enzymes IMP dehydrogenase and sAMP synthase were also measured. Results A 9-fold of dried biomass and a 3-fold of alkaloids accumulation were observed inP. ternata suspension cell cultures after culture for 21 d. Both MeJA and SA could significantly promote the accumulation of alkaloids inP. ternata suspension cells. 150 μmol/L MeJA enhanced alkaloids content (4.7 mg/gDW) by 3.6 folds in comparison with control group, whereas 50 μmol/L SA showed a 2.5-fold increase. Meanwhile, 100 μmol/L MeJA and 50 μmol/L SA promoted the increase in IMP dehydrogenase activity by 3.0 and 3.7 fold respectively, and 150 μmol/L MeJA and 100 μmol/L SA showed the increase by 2.6 and 4.4 fold respectively. Conclusion Proper adding exogenous MeJA and SA can promote the accumulation of alkaloids inPinellia ternata suspension cell cultures.

Objective:To treat the chronic non-atrophic gastritis patients induced by Helicobacter pylori with Qingweizhitong Weiwan combined with standard triple therapy, and to detect the differential expression of related immflammation genes with PCR array, and to clarify its mechanism. Methods: Ten patients with chronic non-atrophic gastritis complicated with Helicobacter pylori infection were used as treatment group and 10 health people were used as health control group. The patients in treatment group were treated with Qingweizhitong Weiwan combined with standard triple therapy for 14 d. The blood samples of the subjects in treatment group and health control group were collected before and after treatment, and QIAGEN human antibacterial response PCR array was performed to test the total RNA inperipheral blood and to analyze the differential expressions of 84 inflammation-related genes. Results:The differential expressions of 20 inflammation-related genes were found.Compared with health control group, the expression levels of 20 genes in treatment group before treatment were up-regulated (Fold-change>2);after treatment, the expression levels of 20 genes were down-regulated,and 11 of them were similar to the level in health control group (Fold-change< 2).More specifically, part of 20 genes was related to NLRP3 inflammasome.Compared with health control group, the gene expression levels of CASP1,IL1B,NLRP3,and PYCARD in treatment group before treatment were up-regulated (P <0.05).Compared with before treatment, the expression levels of CASP1,IL1B,NLRP3,and PYCARD in treatment group after treatment were down-regulated (P <0.05).Conclusion:The mechanism of Qingweizhitong Weiwan combined with standard triple therapy in the treatment of chronic non-atrophic gastritis patients induced by Helicobacter pylori may be related to inhibiting the expressions of NLRP3 inflammasome-related genes and interfering the antimicrobial innate immune response.

OBJECTIVETo determine the optimal concentration and processing time of EMS mutation for suspension cells from Pinellia ternata.
METHODUnder four EMS concentration gradients (0.1% , 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%) and three processing time gradients (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 h), the suspension cells of P. ternata were mutagenized.
RESULT AND CONCLUSIONThe results showed that the survival rate was significantly different under the different concentrations of EMS and the different processing time. In the same processing time, the EMS concentrations were increased, but the suspension cells survival rate decreased gradually. The optimum EMS concentration for the mutagenesis was 0.4% and the best processing time was 1 hour.
