Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction(SOD) is grouped under the functional gastrointestinal diseases.Due to lack of typical symptoms and signs,the diagnosis of SOD is difficult.The proposal to classify SOD significantly improves diagnosis and has important clinical significance in selecting treatment.This paper reviews the researches on classification,recent progress in diagnosis and treatment of SOD.
2.Suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) suppresses JAK/STAT1 signal pathway to down-regulate the expression of indoleamine 2, 3-dioxygenuse in gallbladder carcinoma cells

Objective To investigate the mechanism on JAK/STAT1 signal pathway in SAHA down-regulation of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) in gallbladder carcinoma cells.MethodsWe treated gallbladder carcinoma SGC-996 cells with IFN-γ and SAHA.Western blotting was used to detect the expression of IDO,signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) phosphorylation and interferon regulatory factor genes-1 (IRF-1).Confocal microscopy analysis was used to detect STAT1 translocation.Transient transfections and reporter genes assay was used in detecting the activation of γ-activated sites (GAS) and interferon stimulated response elements (ISRE).ResultsIDO expressed in SGC-996 cells in dose- and time-dependent manners when stimulated with IFN-γ.SAHA down-regulated the expression of IDO induced by IFN-γ in a dose-dependent manner.SAHA blocked the expression of IRF-1 induced by IFN-γ.SAHA inhibited the IFN-γ-induced STAT1 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation.SAHA down-regulated IFN-γ-induced activation of GAS and ISRE.ConclusionsSAHA may down-regulate IDO expression through inhibiting the activation of members in JAK/STAT1 signal pathway.This may provide a new immunotherapeutic strategy to break tumor immune tolerance in gallbladder carcinoma.
3.Relationship between expression of CD44v6 and matrix metalloproteinase-2 and the invasion and matastasis of gallbladder carcinoma

Objective To evaluate the role of CD44v6 and matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) in the invasion and metastasis of gallbladder carcinoma (GC). Methods Immunohistochemical techniques were adopted to detect the expression of CD44v6 and MMP-2 in 42 cases of GC and 10 cases of cholecystolithiasis. 4.THE EARLY STAGE DIGNOSIS OF PRIMARY GALLBLADDER CARCINOMA:ANALYSIS OF 679 CASES

Objective:In order to enhance the early dignosis level and strengthen the understanding of pathogeny、pathology by stage and prognosis of primary gallbladder car-cinoma(PGC). Methods : The results of 679 patients of PGC from 1956 to 1998 in first affiliated hospital of Xi'an medical university were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Most of the patients belong to advanced stage when dignosised. The PGC were usually found among the old women patients. The sex ratio(female/male) was 3:1. There is a intimate relatioship between gallstone and PGC. About sixty percents of PGC might be found gallstone.The dignostic accordance rate was low between preoperation and postopera-tion.Most patients with PGC were found unexpectedly in operation due to gallstone or a-cute cholecystitis. To worse more, many of patiens with PGC were missed the opportunities of dignosis and treatment because of only paying attention to gallstone. Most of the pathological types were adenocarcinoma. The development of imaging examination is hoped to find early stage cases and improve its prognosis. Conclusion : It is a basic way for early dignosis and improving prognosis to strengthen the understanding of pathogeny, pathology by stage and prognosis and rationalize application of all kinds of exzamination means in PGC.
5.Recombinant PML adenovirus suppresses human gallbladder cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism by which promyelocytric leuxemia (PML) suppresses human gallbladder cancer cell line (GBC-SD) growth.Methods GBC-SD cells were infected by green fluorescent protein recombinant adenovirus (Ad-GFP), GFP-positive cells were examined by microscopy.Cultured gallbladder carcinoma cells (GBC-SD) were infected with Ad-PML or Ad-control.Cell death was detected by DNA laddering and TUNNEL analysis.Cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometer.Results An infection efficiency of 100% can be achieved at a concentration of 100 multiplicity of infection (MOI).The growth rate of the Ad-PML-infected GBC-SD cells was significantly inhibited.DNA laddering was detected at 72 h post-infection.The amount of apoptotic cells significantly increased in the Ad-PML-infected GBC-SD cells without evident alterations in cell cycle distribution.Conclusion PML suppresses growth of human gallbladder cancer cell line GBC-SD by inducing apoptosis.
6.Research progress of soluble growth stimulating gene 2 protein in cardiovascular disease

Growth stimulating gene 2 (ST2) protein is a member of the interleukin-1 receptor family. It is mainly divided into a soluble secreted form sST2 and a transmembrane form ST2L. sST2 is a decoy receptor that competitively binds to interleukin-33 to block the interleukin-33/ST2L signaling pathway, worsening myocardial hypertrophy, fibrosis, and ventricular dysfunction. Measuring sST2 is of important value for diagnosis and/or prognosis evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. This paper mainly reviews the research progress in the relationship between cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure, coronary heart disease, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, acute aortic dissection, and pulmonary hypertension, and sST2.
7.Clinical feature of gallbladder cancer in Northwestern China: a report of 2 379 cases from 17 institutions.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the clinical features of patients with gallbladder cancer from 17 hospitals in 5 Northwestern provinces (autonomous region) of China from 2009 to 2013.
METHODSA total of 2 379 cases with gallbladder cancer in 17 tertiary hospitals from 5 Northwestern provinces of China from January 2009 to December 2013 were reviewed retrospectively. The clinical data was collected by standardized "Questionnaire for Clinical Survey of Gallbladder Cancer in Northwestern Area of China". χ² test was used to analyze the data.
RESULTS(1) Gallbladder cancer from 17 hospitals accounted for 1.6%-6.8% of all bile tract diseases from 2009 to 2013 in Northwestern China, average was 2.7%. Gallbladder cancer accounted for 0.4%-0.9% of abdominal surgery, average was 0.7%. (2) The incidence of gallbladder cancer was higher in the aged females, the ration of female to male was 1.0 to 2.1. The average age of gallbladder cancer was (64 ± 11) years. The occupation of patients was mainly farmers (χ² = 147.10, P < 0.01). (3) 57.2% of the gallbladder cancers were associated with gallstones. (4) The main pathological patterns of gallbladder cancer were moderate and poor differentiated adenocarcinoma, showing an aggressive malignancy. TNM stage IV accounted for 55.1% of all cases, which was associated with the poor prognosis. (5) The curative resection rate was 30.4%.
CONCLUSIONSGallbladder cancer is common in the aged females and mainly at advanced stage. The screening and follow-up of high-risk groups with ultrasound and other methods regularly could increase the early diagnosis rate of gallbladder cancer, aggressive surgical resection combined with other comprehensive treatment could improve the prognosis of patients.
