Objective To compare the serum anti-survivin antibody levels between benign and malignant lung tumor, thus to provide evidence for using anti-survivin antibody as an indicator in non-small cell lung cancer. Methods ELISA was used to measure the level of anti-survivin antibody in healthy population(control group,n=60),benign lung tumor patients(benign lung tumor group,n=60) and non-small cell lung cancer patients(non-small cell lung cancer group,n=60). Results The anti-surviving antibody did not express 11.7%(7/60) in the control group and almost no expression 20.0%(12/60) in the benign lung tumor group, with no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).In the non-small cell lung cancer group, the anti-survivin antibody expressed in 41 patients, which was significantly higher than those in the benign lung tumor group(x2=38.352,P<0.01).Conclusion Anti-survivin antibody does not express in the healthy population and the benign lung tumor patients, whereas shows high expression in non-small cell lung cancer. This finding indicates that anti-survivin antibody can provide important evidence for non-small cell lung cancer diagnosis, and can be used as an indicator for non-small lung cancer screening.

Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research 2017;44(6):537-543
Objectives To investigate the ameliorative effect of cannabinoid 2 receptor(CB2R)agonist JWH-015 on the cog-nitive impairment of Alzheimer' s disease(AD)model mice and to assess the correlation with microglial phenotype transformation. Methods Twenty adult male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into four groups:C57BL/6J solvent group,JWH-015 control group,AD model group, and AD model treated with JWH-015 group. Amyloidβ1-42 oligomers of 4μg and the same volume of saline were intraventricularly administered to construct the AD mouse model and the solvent groups. CB2R agonist JWH-015 or the corre-sponding vehicle at a dose of 0.5 mg/(kg·d)was administered by intraperitoneal injection for 3 weeks. Non-spatial learning and memo-ry was measured using novel object recognition task. Furthermore, the mRNA expression levels of M1 microglia marker inducible ni-tric oxide synthase(iNOS)and M2 microglia marker chitinase-3 like protein(Ym1/2)in brain samples of cortex and hippocampus were evaluated using real-time quantitative PCR(qPCR). In the meantime, fifteen CB2R knockout(CB2RKO)mice and five CB2R wild-type(CB2RWT)littermates were assigned to identify the specificity of CB2R in the research. Based on the genotype and different treatment, the animals were divided into four groups:CB2RKO solvent group,CB2RKO AD model group,CB2RKO AD model treat-ed with JWH-015 group and CB2RWT solvent group. Results Compared with solvent group, there was a significant decrease in nov-el object recognition index in C57BL/6J AD model group(P<0.01). The mRNA expression levels of M1 phenotype microglia marker iNOS in cortex and hippocampus were significantly up-regulated(both P<0.05)and the mRNA expression levels of M2 phenotype mi-croglia marker Ym1/2 were significantly down-regulated(both P<0.01). Interestingly, administration of JWH-015 could reverse the impairment of novel object recognition index(P<0.05);compared with C57BL/6J AD model group, administration of JWH-015 also decreased the iNOS mRNA expression levels(both P<0.05)and increased the Ym1/2 mRNA expression levels(both P<0.05)in cortex and hippocampus;compared with CB2RKO solvent group, the novel object recognition index of CB2RKO AD model group was decreased(P<0.05);the mRNA expression levels of iNOS in cortex and hippocampus were significantly up-regulated(both P<0.05),the mRNA expression level of Ym1/2 in cortex was significantly down-regulated in cortex(P<0.05);compared with CB2RKO AD model group, administration of JWH-015 had no effect on novel object recognition index and the mRNA expression level of M1/M2 in cortex and hippocampus, respectively. Conclusion JWH-015 improves the cognitive impairment of Aβ-induced AD mice by the specific activation of CB2R,the mechanism of which is related to the direct regulation of CB2R on the M1/M2 microglial phenotype transformation and microglia-mediated neuroinflammation in brain.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(16):1463-1466
OBJECTIVE:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of balloon sinuplasty, and to summarize the main points of its use.
METHOD:
Fifteeen patients (41 sinuses) were offered treatment with a new technique of balloon sinuplasty and followed for 3 to 6 months after surgery, including "balloon-only" patients and "hybrid" patients. Effectiveness was evaluated by endoscopic examination and computed tomographic (CT) scan. The effect of the operation was tested by the Lund-Mackay CT scores, and the patient's subjective symptoms were tested by the sino-nasal outcome test-20 (SNOT-20) to evaluate postoperative condition.
RESULT:
Fifteeen patients (41 sinuses) were followed after surgery, including 9 "balloon-only" patients and 6 "hybrid" patients. No unanticipated adverse effects were noted in any patients. Endoscopic examination showed the sinus ostium was opening well, and CT scan showed the lesions apparently disappeared. Lund-Mackay CT scores showed that all patients postoperative scores were significantly improved from baseline at 3 months and 6 months. SNOT-20 showed that all patients postoperative scores were significantly improved from baseline at 3 months and 6 months. There was no significant difference between the "balloon-only" patients and "hybrid" patients. Operation curative effect is very confirmed, and subjective symptoms improved significantly.
CONCLUSION
Balloon sinuplasty can not only open nasal sinus effectively, but also preserve normal tissue structure and mucous membrane of nasal cavity and nasal sinus. Balloon sinuplasty appears to be a safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment option to relieve sinus ostial obstruction. Patients who received balloon catheter sinusotomy in endoscopic sinus surgery had significant improvement after surgery. Balloon sinuplasty can also be combined with the endoscopic sinus surgery to achieve a better therapeutic effect. It is worth of clinical promotion and application.

Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2009;31(1):47-50
Objective To analyze the economic effects of different rehabilitation patterns for children suffering from cerebral palsy. Methods A total of 153 cerebral palsy patients were divided into a hospital-community-family rehabilitation group(n = 52), a hospital rehabilitation group (n = 50) and a non-intervention control group (n = 51). Those in the first group were provided with a hospital-community-family rehabilitation therapy pattern, those in the sec-ond only hospital rehabilitation and the third no intervention. All the patients were evaluated using the Gross Motor Function Measure-88 (GMFM-88) Scale and the Cost Measure Scale at admission, and at the end of the 3rd and 6th months of treatment. Results There were no significant differences in gross motor function among the three groups at admission. At the end of the 3rd month and the 6th month there were significant differences between the children in the hospital-community-family rehabilitation program and those in the hospital rehabilitation program in terms of gross motor function. Their general percentage, monthly percentage and monthly relative percentage results were all significantly different. But there was no significant difference in the non-interventian control group since admission. Every unit of improvement in gross motor function cost $101.87±97.59, $75.11±45.75 in the hospital-community-family reha-bilitation program and $387.21±54.76, $170.31±123.16 in the hospital rehabilitation program at the end of the 3rd and the 6th month respectively. So the cost of the former was only about 30% of the latter. Conclusion Hospital rehabilitation is suitable for the early rehabilitation of cerebral palsy children. Hospital-community-family rehabilitation is better for long-term rehabilitation of cerebral palsy children, and what is more, it can decrease the rehabilitation ther-apy cost substantially. So a hospital-community-family rehabilitation pattern is more compatible with China's national situation.

Objective:To explore the risk factors for postoperative adverse events in older persons with gastrointestinal malignancies and thus provide reference for selection of surgery and evaluation of such patients. Methods:An observational study design was employed, the study cohort comprising patients aged 65 years and over with gastrointestinal malignancies who underwent elective surgery in Peking University Cancer Hospital from 2008 to 2022. In this study, we compared the clinical characteristics (disease type, tumor stage), surgical safety (combined organ resection, operation duration, comorbidities), and treatment outcomes (postoperative complications, unplanned reoperation, and perioperative mortality) of these patients. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify risk factors associated with adverse outcomes. Results:The study cohort comprised 10,135 patients, of whom 74.7% (7,568) were 65–75 years old (excluding 75 years old), 23.6% (2,391) 75–85 years old (excluding 85 years old), and 1.7% (176) ≥85 years old. The type of cancer was colorectal in 63.4% (6,427 patients) and gastric in 36.6% (3,708); 62.0% (6,284/10,135)of the patients had stage II or III disease. The proportion of stage III and stage IV tumors was higher in patients aged over 85 years (47.4% [73/154) and 11.0% [17/154]), respectively, than in those aged 75–85 years (41.6% [854/2 051) and 8.2% [168/2 051]), respectively, and those aged 65–75 years (40.1% [2,576/6,431) and 10.9% [700/6,431]); these differences are statistically significant (χ 2=27.95, P<0.01). Comorbidity was present in 50.6% (5,128/10,135) of the whole study cohort, comprising 58.0% (102/176) of those aged over 85 years, this being significantly higher than the 56.3% (1,346/2,391) in those aged 75–85 years and 48.6% (3,678/7,568) of those aged 65–75 years. The main comorbidities were hypertension (37.3%), diabetes (16.4%), and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (14.0%). Minimally invasive surgery was performed on 36.9% (3,740/10,135) of the whole study cohort, the 38.4% in 65–75 years old patients being significantly higher than the 32.5% in those aged 75–85 years and the 29.0% in those aged over 85 years; these differences are statistically significant (χ 2=31.97, P<0.01). Preoperative neoadjuvant therapy was administered to 9.1% (924/10,135) of the whole study cohort, the proportion of patients receiving preoperative neoadjuvant therapy being significantly higher in those aged 65–75 years (11.1%) than in those aged 75–85 years (3.4%) and over 85 years (0.6%); these differences are statistically significant (χ 2=148.98, P<0.01). Combined organ resection was performed in 4.9% (496/10,135) of the whole study cohort, the proportion undergoing combined organ resection being significantly lower in those aged over 85 years (2.3%) than in those aged 65–75 years (5.3%) and 75–85 years (3.8%); these differences are statistically significant (χ 2=11.20, P<0.01). The mean operating time was (182.2±76.8) minutes, being significantly higher in those aged 65–75 years (186.6±78.3 minutes) than in those aged 75–85 years (169.4±71.3 minutes) and over 85 years (153.2±53.7 minutes); these differences are statistically significant ( F=46.85, P<0.01). The overall incidence of postoperative complications was 10.9% (802/7,384); the incidence did not differ significantly between the three groups ( P>0.05). The incidence of unplanned reoperation was 1.9% (193/10,135) and of death during hospitalization 0.3% (32/10,135). The perioperative mortality in the three groups was 1.1%, 0.5% and 0.2% in those aged over 85, 75–85, and 65–75 years, respectively. These differences are statistically significant (χ 2=9.71, P<0.01). Among the patients with postoperative complications, 15.0% (120/802) underwent unplanned reoperation, which had a perioperative mortality of 1.0% (8/802), these rates being significantly higher than those for unplanned reoperation (1.1%, 73/6,582) and perioperative mortality (0.4%, 24/6,582) in patients without complications (all P<0.01). The median length of hospital stay was 11 days in patients aged over 85 years; this is significantly longer than the 9 days in those aged 65–75 years and 10 days in those aged 75–85 years (H=37.00, P<0.01). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that tumor stage IV (OR=1.56, 95%CI: 1.24–1.96, P<0.01), comorbidities (OR=1.26, 95%CI: 1.08–1.47, P<0.01), open surgery (OR=1.33, 95%CI: 1.13–1.56, P<0.01), and operation time >180 minutes (OR=1.82, 95%CI:1.53–2.15, P<0.01) were risk factors for adverse outcomes. Conclusion:Older patients with gastrointestinal tumors who have comorbidities and stage IV disease and undergo open surgery with a longer operation time are at higher risk of adverse outcomes than patients without these characteristics.
