Objective: To evaluate the remineralizing effe ct of glass ionomer cement (GIC),calcium hydroxide(Dycal)and zinc phosphate ceme nt on soft dentin. Methods:Standard cavity of 1 mm?2 mm was pre pared on each of the 60 premolars extracted for orthodontic treatment. The teeth were randomly divided into three groups with 20 in each after demineralization ,the cavities were blocked by GIC, Dycal and zinc phosphate cement respectively and filled with zinc oxide. All the teeth were dipped in man-made saliva for 3 0 days.Then the samples were sectioned, microradiographied and the mineral conte nt were determined by microdensitometry. AIM To Investigate the effect of breviscapine on delayed outward potassium current in single ventricular cell of guinea pig. METHOD Using whole cell patch clamp technique. RESULTS Breviscapine enhanced I k dose dependently. Breviscapine with the concentration of 0\^01 and 0\^02 mg?L -1 increased I k by 44.6% and 78.3%,respectively. The effect could be reversed by washing. CONCLUSION Breviscapine can open the K + channel and incrase I k .

ObjectiveTo evaluate nonoperative management of adult blunt hepatic injury. MethodThe outcome of 132 cases with adult blunt hepatic trauma admitted in this hospital between Oct 1982 and Oct 2002 was analyzed. Thirty-four cases (25.8%) were treated by nonoperative management. Before 1995, only a portion of patients underwent CT scan and after 1995, diagnosis of liver injury was established by CT scan in all cases. ResultThe nonoperative management rate before 1995 was 16.7% (14/84) and after 1995, it was 41.7% (20/48)(P0.05). ConclusionWith the progress of image monitoring and life support system, some patients of blunt hepatic injury could be managed by conservation therapy.

Objective To study the feasibility of local resection for the tumor of the ampulla of Vater. OBJECTIVE To analyse the infection of Acinetobacter baumannii(ABA) in ICU of Cardiac Surgery,and make analysis for its resistance to 14 antibiotics.METHODS The collection of clinic stains of ABA isolated from ICU in 2008.The pathogens were identified by VITEK-Jr.RESULTS The drug resistance rates of Imipenem and cefoperazone/sulbactam were 74.4% and 18.6%.The resistance rates to other drugs were more than 70%.CONCLUSIONS ABA strains isolated show the trend of multi-durg resistance.We should pay more attention to the monitor of the resistance to antibiotics.

ObjectiveTo explore the biological features of colorectal adenoma with chicken-skin mucosa ( CSM ) and its clinical significance.MethodsExpression of cell proliferation markers ( Ki-67 and COX-2) and apoptosis-related factors ( survivin and caspase-3) in normal colorectal mucosa,colorectal adenoma without CSM,colorectal adenoma with CSM and colorectal adenocarcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry SP method and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).ResultsImmunohistochemical results revealed a decreased trend in expressions of Ki-67 and COX-2 from colorectal adenocarcinoma through colorectal adenoma with and without CSM to normal colorectal mucosa,while the expressions of survivin and caspase-3 showed an increased trend.By ELISA,the expressions of Ki-67,COX-2,surviving and caspase-3 showed no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05 ) between colorectal adenoma with CSM and coloreetal adenocarcima,while these variables were significantly different (P ＜ 0.05) between coloreetal adenoma with and without CSM,so as well between normal colorectal mucosa and other 3 groups.ConclusionThe biological characteristics of colorectal adenoma with CSM are different from those without,showing an activated cell proliferation and inhibited cell apoptosis with increased carcinogenesis risk.

Objective To analyze the difference of prescription dose between ICRU report 83 and Chinese recommendation in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) for intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).Methods Eighty-four NPC were treated using IMRT technology from Jan 1,2010 to Apr 1,2012.All dose volume histogram of the 84 IMRT plan were analyzed retrospectively.The target volumes of planning gross tumor volume of nasopharynx (PGTVnx) or planning clinical target volume and high risk lymphatic drainage (PCTV1) and doses of D100,D98,D95,D50,D2 and D0 were recorded.The mean,standard error,medial,range,coefficient of variation (CV) of PGTVnx,PCTV1,and D100,D98,D95,D50,D2and D0 were calculated,respectively.The homogeneity index (HI) and deviation between D95 and D50 of PGTVnx and PCTV1 were calculated,respectively.The differentiation of grouping results were analyzed with grouped t-test method.Results The HI of PGTVnx and PCTV1 were 0.118 ± 0.045 and 0.272 ± 0.037,respectively.It is the bigger target volume,the worse HI;and the advanced T stage,the worse HI.Either PGTVnx or PCTV1,D95 were less than D50.The average deviation was-5.15％ and-10.97％,and the actual difference value was (382± 180) cGy (P=0.000) and (741± 140) cGy (P=0.000).Conclusions D550,which is the recommendation prescription dose of PTV in ICRU report 83,could evaluate accurately the IMRT plan with combining D98 and D2· When D50 is used to instand of D95,the prescription dose of PGTVnx and PCTV1 should increase 5％ and 11％,respectively.

Objective To analyze the clinical features,and prognosis of the interstitial lung disease (ILD) in patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and polymyositis (PM) by chest X-ray,chest high-resolution CT scan (HRCT) and pulmonary lung function.Methods Thirty-three patients hospitalized with DM/PM associated ILD were retrospectively analyzed.Results Thirty-three patients with ILD were confirmed by HRCT.Abnormal pulmonary function tests were available in 82% of patients.Clinical-imaging analysis revealed that the pathological features of ILD were non-specific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP,57%) and unusual interstitial pneumonia (UIP,25%).UIP types showed a poor prognosis and high mortality (70%).Conclusion This study shows that HRCT is more sensitive for the diagnosis of ILD than lung function tests and chest X-ray.Combined HRCT and chest X-ray with lung function tests and blood gas analysis have shown that the major pathological types of ILD are NSIP and UIP,in which UIP are associated with high mortality and poor prognosis.

Objective To know the cognition,attitude and needs among middle-aged andaged women with urinary incontinence(UI) in communities. Methods A questionnaire survey wasconducted in 66 middle-aged and aged women with UI in two communities and the results were an-alyzed. Results Most patients lacked the knowledge of UI;UI had impact on their physical andmental heahh.Must patients wished to know about the treatment knowledge,and health education of med-ical staff was the most promising way.The mastering degree of knowledge about disease was not related tothe serious degree of disease and age,but was positively related to education degree and economic income.Conclusions We should publicize the knowledge about UI and provide health education and emotionalsupport to patients.And we should emphasize the training about UI among medical staff.

Objective To investigate the association between a few single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)in Fc receptor like 3(FcRL3)and rheumatoid arthritis(RA)in Han nationality of Anhui patients.Methods One hundred and forty RA patients along with one hundred and eighty-seven healthy controls were included in the study.SNPs of FcRL3-1(rs0158440),FcRL3-2(rs2225828),FcRL3-3(rs7528684).FcRL34(rs11284799),FcRL3-5(rs945635),FcRL3-6(rs3761959),FcRL3-7(rs2210913),FcRL3-8(rs2282284)and FcRL3-9(rs2282283)in the FcRL3 gene were genotyped by MALDI-TOF technology.Haplotypes were estimated using PHASE v 2.1 software.Results The frequency of FcRL3-3-1 69C alleles in RA patients was significantly increased compared with healthy controls(X~2=7.348,P=0.007,OR=1.558,CI:1.130～2.150).The decreased compared with healthy controls.ConclusionFcRL3 may be associated with RA susceptibility in Anhui Han population.
