1.Clinical Observation of Fire-needle Therapy plus Tuina for Senile Knee Osteoarthritis
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2014;(4):260-264
Objective: To observe the therapeutic efficacy of fire-needle therapy plus tuina in treating primary knee osteoarthritis (KOA) in the elderly.
Methods: Twenty-three patients with KOA were intervened by pricking with fire-needle therapy plus tuina, and evaluated by using the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index (WOMAC) before and after intervention.
Results: After intervention, the total score, scores of pain, rigidity, and activities of daily living of WOMAC dropped significantly (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Pricking with fire needle plus tuina can produce a significant therapeutic efficacy in treating KOA in the elderly, thus worth application in clinic.
2.DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF A MINI-MEDICAL REFRIGERATOR
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(03):-
The boxbard of mini-medical refrigerator is thermoformed by foamable polys- tyrene, the outer cover is plastic memberane, and the lining is hard pasteboard. The dimension of body is 310mm?210mm?220mm.The cold source is polymer thawless ice(HS).The temperatare within the refrigerator can keep 8℃ in 36 hours when external temperature is 35℃.
3.Treatment of ankylosing spondylitis by fire-needle therapy plus tuina manipulations
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2015;(1):15-21
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of fire-needle therapy plus tuina manipulations for ankylosing spondylitis (AS).
Methods:A total of 49 eligible cases were treated by fire-needle therapy plus tuina manipulations, once every other day. Ten days made one course. After the continuous treatment for six courses, the therapeutic effects were summarized and the changes in the clinical symptoms and signs were observed.
Results:During treatment, 7 cases dropped off. In 42 patients who had completed treatment for six courses, the results showed clinical recovery in 16 cases, remarkable effect in 13 cases, effect in 7 cases and failure in 6 cases. The measurements of the patients were all improved in different degrees than those before treatment. Moreover, no side effect was noticed during treatment.
Conclusion:The therapeutic effect is precise and free of adverse reaction in treatment of AS by fire-needle therapy plus tuina manipulations.
4.Application and complication of cranial scaffold following craniocerebral injury:A contrast analysis
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(43):-
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the current situation of cranial scaffold for the treatment of craniocerebral injury, analyze biocompatibility of the cranial scaffold, and observe the cranial scaffold-induced complications. METHODS:A computer-based online search was conducted in CNKI and Medline database in accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria from 1988 to 2009. A total of 37 articles were included in the final analysis, which were summarized based on application situation of cranial scaffold for the treatment of craniocerebral injury, biocompatibility of cranial scaffold, and cranial scaffold-induced complication. RESULTS:Cranial scaffold had a good effect on the treatment of craniocerebral injury which was hard to be treated using surgical intervention and drug therapy. The biocompatibility of cranial scaffold might influence its security and efficiency. The poor biocompatibility of cranial scaffold increased incidence of varying complications, including thrombosis, cerebral hemorrhage, restenosis, hypertransfusion, and hypoperfusion. Therefore, patients should be cared carefully following scaffold implantation. CONCLUSION:Cranial scaffold implantation has a good effect on the treatment of craniocerebral injury; however, its biocompatibility to human body may cause complications which attract much attention by physicians.
5.Advances in astrocytes
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
The research and application of astrocytes have developed into a frontier of neuroscience in recent years. This review describes the shapes, regulation mechanism and function of astrocytes, and their relation to neurological diseases.Astrocytes play an important role in growth and reparation of the nervous system.
6.Advances in long - term potentiation and long - term depression
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;16(12):1331-1334
The impairment of learning and memory function in the central nervous system(CNS)is one of the main features of aging and Alzheimer' s disease (AD). Many experimental results have showed that long- term memory(LTM) is related to long- term potentiation(LTP) and long- term depression (LTD). They intluenee each other. The relationship between LTP and LTD is complex. Therefore, it is important to study the learning and memory mechanism from LTP、LTD and gene expression in the CNS.

8.Treatment of 116 Cases of Vertebral Artery Type of Cervical Spondylopathy by Electroacupuncture plus Tuina
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2005;3(6):29-31
One hundred and sixteen cases of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylopathy were treated by electroacupuncture on Fengchi (GB 20) and Jiaji (Ex-B 2, C2-5), cupping plus manipulation of pulling the rotated neck. The result showed 89 cases were cured, 21 cases were improved and 6 cases failed with the total effective rate of 94.8%.
9.Therapeutic Observation of Electroacupuncture plus Rehabilitation for Post-stroke Shoulder-hand Syndrome
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2016;35(12):1423-1425
Objective To explore the effect of electroacupuncture plus rehabilitation on shoulder-hand syndrome (SHS). Method Eighty SHS patients were randomized into an experimental group and a control group, 40 cases in each group. The experimental group was intervened by electroacupuncture plus rehabilitation training and basic Western medicine treatment, while the control group was by rehabilitation training and Western medicine treatment, 3 sessions a week, 4 weeks in total. The pain intensity of the affected shoulder and upper-limb motor function were observed before and after the treatment. The therapeutic efficacy was also evaluated. Result The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score of the shoulder pain and Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) score of the upper-limb motor function were significantly improved after the intervention in the two groups (P<0.01), and the improvements of VAS and FMA in the experimental group were more significant than that in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Based on the basic treatment of Western medicine, electroacupuncture plus rehabilitation training can markedly improve the pain intensity of the affected shoulder and upper-limb motor function in post-stroke shoulder-hand syndrome.
