AIM:To identify and quantify the expression of IL-1βand IL-17 in mast cells ( MCs) in different types of human pericapical diseases using double immunofluorescence staining .METHODS: The specimens ( n=102 ) , including healthy control ( n=35 ) , periapical cyst ( n=35 ) and periapical granuloma ( n=32 ) , were involved in the present study .The tissue samples were fixed in 10% buffered formalin for at least 48 h and then embedded in paraffin . Serial 5-μm-thick sections were deposited onto SuperFrost/Plus microscope glasses .Routine staining of the sections using hematoxylin&eosin ( HE) was performed for morphological evaluation .The number of IL-1βand IL-17 positive MCs was identified by double immunofluorescence staining .RESULTS:Compared with the healthy controls , the inflammation score of periapical lesions was significantly increased in the periapical patients (P<0.01).The density of IL-1βand IL-17 posi-tive MCs in the periapical lesions were obviously higher than that in the healthy controls (P<0.01).However, no signifi-cant difference between periapical cyst and periapical granuloma was observed .The Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between the density of IL-1βand IL-17 double positive MCs and inflammation score in dif-ferent groups of specimens (P<0.01).CONCLUSION:There is significantly increased number of MCs , along with in-creased density of IL-1βand IL-17 positive MCs in human periapical lesions .The increased density of IL-1βand IL-17 positive MCs has the similar tendency as the severity of tissue inflammation in human periapical lesions , suggesting that IL-1βand IL-17 positive MCs may play an important role in the pathogenesis of human periapical diseases .

This paper summarized nursing care of a case with hepatic ectopic pregnancy treated by laparoscopy with preservation of liver.Nursing key points included:psychological nursing,medication guidance before surgery,prevention of hepatorrhexis,close observation and monitoring of changes in condition,pipeline nursing,monitoring of liver function and blood HCG after surgery.The operation was successful and the patient had good compliance with all treatment.The patient recovered from the surgery and was discharged nine days after operation.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and accuracy of quantitative computed tomography (QCT) in assessment of fracture healing. Methods Twenty-four healthy New Zealand rabbits were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into two groups, ie, Croup A (union model group, transverse fracture open created on mid-shaft of tibia and inter-fixed by kirschner wire) and Group B (non-union model group, transverse fracture with 5 mm defect on mid-shaft of tibia open created, then sealed with bone wax on fracture gap and medulla cavity, inter-fixed by kirschner wire). At 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks, Kirschner wire was withdrawn and plain X-ray and QCT scanning were performed on the bilateral tibia. Then, rabbits were scarified and its bilateral tibia were desected and histologically examined. The result of X-ray and histological analysis was used as the "golden standard" for evaluation of fracture healing. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was used to analyze the evaluation performance of QCT. The corresponding segments of the contralateral healthy tibia were used as control to investigate the change of QCT parameters. Results In Group A, X-ray and histological analysis verified clear fracture line filled with irregular callus at 2 and 4 weeks but proved vague or vanishing fracture line and continuous and intact cortex of irregular callus at 8 and 16 weeks. In Group B, X-ray and histology analysis found clear fracture line with inactive ossification at 2 and 4 weeks but vague fracture line with scarce osteocyte and bone trabecula at 8 and 16 weeks. ROC analysis of QCT results showed the following results; (1) the areas under curve (accuracy) of material parameters including bone mineral density (BMD) and bone mineral content (BMC) were 0.781 and 0.750 respectively; (2) structure parameter-cross-sectional area (CSA) and the area under curve of cross-sectional moment of inertia (CSMI) were 0.781 and 0.469 respectively (P <0.05); (3) the areas under curve of the extending parameters bone strength indices (BSICSA) and CSMI bone strength indices ( BSICSMI) were 0. 913 and 0. 813 respectively (P < 0.05); (4) the area under curve (accuracy) of BSICSA, CSA and BMD were 0.905, 0.921 and 0.905 respectively (P<0.05). Conclusions QCT has potential in distinguishing fracture union and nonunion models in measurement of local fracture pattern. The screening parameters with more accuracy are BSICSA, CSA, BMD, which have advantages of accuracy and specialty in assessing fracture healing.

Objective To study the effect of Corylin on A375 cells melanin synthesis,and explore its mechanism.Methods The cells were randomly divided into the control group, the estradiol group, and corylin group including 10-3μmol/L, 10-2μmol/L, 10-1μmol/L, 1μmol/L, 10μmol/L, 100μmol/L. Estradiol estradiol intervention group were given 10-3 mol/L. Corylin group (10-3μmol/L, 10-2μmol/L, 10-1μmol/L, 1μmol/L, 10μmol/L,100μmol/L) were given 10-3μmol/L, 10-2μmol/L, 10-1μmol/L, 1μmol/L, 10μmol/L, 100μmol/L corylin intervention. The activity of proliferation were detected by MTT, NaOH method, dopa oxidation , both melanin content and tyrosinase activity (tyrosinase, TYR). TYR, yrosinase related protein (tyrosinase related protein, TRP)-1 and TRP-2 expression levels of mRNA were determined by RT-PCR.Results Compared with the control group, 10, 100μmol/L of Corylin group cell proliferation rate significantly decreased (P<0.01). The 1μmol/L, 10-1μmol/L, 10-2μmol/L of Corylin group cell melanin content, TYR significantly decreased (P<0.01 or P<0.05). The 1μmol/L corylin group TYR (0.303 ± 0.003vs. 0.628 ± 0.012), TRP-1 (0.313 ± 0.008 vs. 0.677 ± 0.022), TRP-2 (0.456 ± 0.028vs. 0.687 ± 0.020) mRNA expression level significantly decrease (P<0.01).Conclusions The results showed that Corylin could inhibit melanin synthesis, which worked probably through inhibiting the activity of TYR and cutting the mRNA expressions of TYR,TRP-1/2.

Objective To study the effects of using the Xinhuang Pian application to cure phlebitis after chemotherapy, and then make out the proper therapeutic regimen. Methods Divided 130 patients with phlebitis after chemotherapy into the experimental group ( 69 cases) and the control group ( 61 cases) randomly. The Xinhuang Pian application was used in the experimental group, while the routine nursing method was used in the control group. Results The curative ratio in the experimental group and the control group were 92.75% and 32.79% respectively, the significant different was existed between them,P

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the general adult population in the Hulunbeir Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region where many minorities of north China live. Methods Sampling surveywas performed in the residents aged 20 years and older in the Hulunbeir Prefecture. All the investigated subjects were tested for urinary albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR); hematuria by microscopy of urinary sediment; and GFR estimated by modified MDRD equation for Chinese adults (eGFR). The related risk factors of CKD were also investigated. Results A total of 4522 subjects were enrolled in the study. The prevalence of albuminuria was 7.11％, hematuria was 2.64％ and reduced eGFR [60 ml-min-1·(1.73 m2)-1] was 2.75％. The prevalence of hypertension was 38.90％; hyperglycemia 6.61％; hyperlipidemia 2.72％; increased waist 24.79％ and metabolic syndrome 15.02％. After the subjects with combined microalbuminuria, hematuria and reduced eGFR were excluded, the prevalence of CKD was 12.95％. Logistic regression analysis and stratified analysis showed increased age, increased waist, elevated systolic pressure, hyperglycemia,hypertriglyceridemia and metabolic syndrome were independently associated with albuminuria;increased age, elevated systolic pressure and hyperglycemia were independently associated with reduced eGFR; increased age was independently associated with hematuria. Conclusions The prevalence of adult CKD is 12.95％ in the Hulunbeir Prefecture, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Independent risk factors of CKD include increased age, increased waist, hypertension,abnormal blood glucose or lipid, and metabolic syndrome.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the postoperative complications of microscopic and conventional Palomo varicocelectomy in the treatment of varicocele in army personnel.

METHODSA total of 260 army personnel with varicocele were randomized to receive microscopic varicocelectomy (group A, n=130) and conventional Palomo varicocelectomy (group B, n=130). The postoperative recurrence and complications (scrotal edema, testicular pain and testicular atrophy) were compared between the two groups.

RESULTSAfter 1 year of follow-up, the recurrence rates in groups A and B were statistically comparable (5.3% vs 3.8%, P>0.05). The incidences of testicular atrophy and scrotal edema were significantly lower in group A than in group B (0.7% vs 3.1%, P<0.05; 3.1% vs 14.6%, P<0.05), and the rate of testicular pain relief was significantly higher in group A (90.7% vs 67.7%, P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONMicroscopic varicocelectomy can be a good choice in the treatment of varicocele in army personnel.

OBJECTIVETo understand the mutational patterns and mechanism of short tandem repeats(STRs).

METHODSThe DNA samples of 19 parent-child pairs with mutations in three loci (FGA, D12S391, and D11S554) were genotyped by silver staining on STR. Alleles to be sequenced were excised from gels, reamplified by PCR, and purified. Sequencing was performed by use of cycle sequencing.

RESULTSThere were 18 out of 19 pedigrees in which the 'new' alleles gained or lost a single repeat (8 gains, 7 losses, and 3 being indistinguishable). Only one pedigree lost two repeats. In the 19 pedigrees, there were 13 pedigrees whose 'new' alleles came from fathers, 3 from mothers, 3 from either father or mother. The ratio was 4 1 between fathers and mothers. The mutation of three STR loci occurred in the long, uninterrupted tetranucleotide repeat regions ('CTTT' in FGA, 'AGAT' in D12S391, and 'AAAG' in D11S554).

CONCLUSIONSingle- step mutations accounted for 95% of STR mutation events in these three loci: FGA, D12S391, and D11S554. The rest were double step mutations. There was no insertion or deletion of an incomplete repeat in any of the pedigrees. The mutation was mainly caused by fathers. The long, uninterrupted tetranucleotide repeats in these three loci might be susceptible to mutation.

Objective:To investigate the difference of adverse events in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who underwent on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (ONCABG) and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCABG).Methods:The clinical data of COPD patients undergoing CABG surgery admitted to Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University from January 2021 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. According to whether they received cardiopulmonary bypass or not, they were divided into ONCABG group (64 cases) and OPCABG group (154 cases). The preoperative and postoperative clinical data were analyzed. The whole group was divided into 4 subgroups (ON1、ON2、OP1、OP2) according to whether receiving cardiopulmonary bypass or not and FEV160% as the cut-off point, to investigate the difference of postoperative adverse events.Results:A total of 218 patients were included, ranging in age from 45 to 76 years old, with a mean age of (63.81±7.72) years, including 149 males (68.35%). There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative adverse events between the ONCABG and OPCABG groups ( P>0.05). In subgroup analysis, the incidence of postoperative pulmonary infection (72.73% vs. 45.65%, P<0.05) and postoperative atrial fibrillation (59.09% vs. 32.61%, P<0.05) was higher in ON1 (FEV1≤60% ONCABG, 22 cases) group than in OP1 (FEV1≤60% OPCABG, 46 cases) group. Conclusion:The incidence of postoperative pulmonary infection and atrial fibrillation in COPD patients with FEV1≤60% was higher in ONCABG than in OPCABG.

Objective To improve the efficiency of blood collection in hemodialysis patients by inventing and applying new blood collection needles.Methods One hundred and eighty cases of hemodialysis patients were randomly divided into control group 1(CG1),control group 2(CG2),experimental group(EG). Comparison of the three groups in time of blood collection,the number of operation that had the risk of acupuncture injury and the number of the blood samples that had been contaminated. Results There were statistically significant difference (P<0.05)in three groups.The number of times of blood collection in the number of operations that had the risk of acupuncture injury,and the number of the blood sample that had been contaminated. CG1 had the longest blood collection time(12.55 min),EG had the shortest blood collection time(5.09 min);the risk of acupuncture injury was the highest in CG2 and the lowest in the EG.The number of contamination of blood samples and the amount of inaccurate sample in CG1 were the highest,and the lowest in the EG. Conclusions The working efficiency of transfer type anti-acupuncture needle(TTAN)during blood sample collection in hemodialysis patients is signifi-cantly better than that of traditional blood collection method,and it is helpful to reduce the risk of acupuncture injury and the risk of contamination in blood samples,which is worthy of promotion.
