1.Clinical observations on effect of Qishen Capsules on angina pectoris
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(04):-
Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of Qishen Capsule (Radix Astragali, Radix Ginseng, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Notoginseng, Hirudo, etc.) for angina pectoris. Methods: 126 patients definitely diagnosed as suffering from angina pectoris were divided into two groups at random. The treatment group was given Qishen Capsules, 5 capsules each time, three times a day. The contol group was given Danshen Drop pills, 10 drop pills each time, three times a day. Both of the two groups went through one treatment course of 6 weeks. Results: In improving the clinical synptoms and myocardial ischemia, Qishen Capsule has the same effect as compared with Compoumd Danshen Drop pills but has better effect in lowering blood fat, blood viscosity and fibrinogen. Conclusion: Qishen Capsule is one of the effective medicines in treating againa pectoris

Objective To measure in vivo biomechanical properties of pelvic support structures associated with uterosacral ligament suspension(ULS). Methods Ten Chinese female cadavers(death within 48 hours)without embalming were carefully dissected to expose the ligament. After dissection, ligaments were sewn according to standard ULS surgical technique. They were stretched at a steady rate to breakage during constant electronic registration of load and displacement. In vivo biomechanical properties were evaluated by a load-displacement curve. Results Ultimate load of uterosacral ligament, ring around cervix were(37.3±23.5),(49.3±28.4)N, respectively. The differences between the two groups was not significant(P>0.05). Ligament stiffness were(1.26±1.22),(1.45±0.92)N/mm, respectively. There was no significant difference between groups(P>0.05). Conclusions The uterosacral ligament, ring around cervix with sufficient strength are not easy to deform. ULS is an effective procedure for treating middle pelvic defects from a biomechanics perspective.

Obvious epigenetic differentiation occurred on Lycium barbarum in different cultivation areas in China. To investigate the difference and change rule of DNA methylation level and pattern of L. barbarum from different cultivation areas in China, the present study employed fluorescence-assisted methylation-sensitive amplified polymorphism(MSAP) to analyze the methylation level and polymorphism of 53 genomic DNA samples from Yinchuan Plain in Ningxia, Bayannur city in Inner Mongolia, Jingyuan county and Yumen city in Gansu, Delingha city in Qinghai, and Jinghe county in Xinjiang. The MSAP technical system suitable for the methylation analysis of L. barbarum genomic DNA was established and ten pairs of selective primers were selected. Among amplified 5'-CCGG-3' methylated sites, there were 35.85% full-methylated sites and 39.88% hemi-methylated sites, showing a high degree of epigenetic differentiation. Stoichiometric analysis showed that the ecological environment was the main factor affecting the epigenetic characteristics of L. barbarum, followed by cultivated varieties. Precipitation, air temperature, and soil pH were the main ecological factors affecting DNA methylation in different areas. This study provided a theoretical basis for the analysis of the epigenetic mechanism of L. barbarum to adapt to the diffe-rent ecological environments and research ideas for the introduction, cultivation, and germplasm traceability of L. barbarum.
