Aim To investigate the effects of paclitaxel(PTX) on the expression of CD69, CD25 and proliferation of T cells by polyclonal stimulas in vitro, and explore the molecular mechanism of paclitaxel. Methods Fluorescence conjugated monoclonal antibodies and flow cytometry were used to detect the express of CD69 and CD25 by activated T cells in vitro in response to Concanavalin(Con A) and Phorbol 12,13-dibutyrate(PDB) or T cell proliferation index stained by CFDA-SE in response to PDB+Ion or Con A. Results Paclitaxel had no effect on the expression of CD69, but inhibited the expression of CD25 in activated T cells in response to Con A or PDB in a concentration-dependent manner. Paclitaxel caused a dose-dependent suppression of T cell proliferation to Con A as well as to PDB+Ion. Whether added at the beginning or after 24 h of stimulation by Con A or PDB+Ion, paclitaxel had identical effects. Conclusion The mid and later activation and proliferation of murine T cells stimulated by Con A or PDB+Ion were significantly inhibited by paclitaxel, suggesting that paclitaxel acts on the downstream signaling pathways of PKC?,and not act on the intitial activated associated proteins such as PTK and PKC?.

Objective To investigate whether lipopolysaccharide (LPS) can induce vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) expression in microglia regulated by hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α). Methods The cultured BV2 cells were divided into four groups:control group, LPS (100 μg/L) simulated group, LPS (100 μg/L)+LPS antagonist (LRS, 200 μg/L) intervened group and LPS (100 μg/L)+HIF-1αinhibitors FM19G11 (10 mmol/L) intervened group. Immunofluorescence staining, Western blotting and ELISA were used to detect the expressions of VEGF and HIF-1α. Results Compared with the control group, the VEGF expression level was obvious high in LPS simulated group (P<0.05). LRS inhibited this effect of LPS (P<0.05). The HIF-1αlevel was increased in LPS simulated group at 8 h post-injury (P<0.05). FM19G11, the inhibitor of HIF-1αreduced the expression of VEGF induced by LPS (P<0.05). Conclusion LPS can up-regulate the expression of VEGF by HIF-1α.

Objective To explore the pain beliefs and perceptions held by patients with digestive system cancer. Methods 10 patients with digestive system cancer were interviewed for exploration of their pain beliefs and perceptions. The data were collected using in-depth interview and analyzed with category approach. Results The beliefs and perceptions held by patients with digestive system cancer were presented as:negative pain beliefs, negative emotional perceptions, view social support as important resources. Conclusions The pain beliefs and perceptions in digestive system cancer pain patients are negative.Clinical medical workers should pay attention to the role of beliefs in pain management, and help patients build positive pain beliefs through utilizing social support resources effectively.

To explore the optimized dispatch of the rescue resources based on the mastered resources informa-tion. The objective function was set as the shortest rescue time, and 0-1 programming models were established and solved for the conditions that the number of medical rescue units was more or less than needed by the missions. In the two conditions, the model's calculated results were both optimal, and could be used to obtain the optimal dispatch solutions while the medical rescue time was the shortest. The 0-1 programming model can be effectively used to optimize dispatch strategy for medical rescue team.

Objective To explore the treatment of children with EB virus infection accompanied by facial paralysis. Method The clinical data of a child with EB virus infection accompanied by facial paralysis was analyzed retrospectively, and the related literature were reviewed. Results A 2-year-old boy was admitted to hospital due to fever and mouth askew for 4 days. After admission, he was confirmed to have EB virus infection and viremia by serology and polymerase chain reaction, and then treated with acyclovir. The symptoms of facial paralysis and EB viremia disappeared completely 14 days after antiviral treatment. There was no recurrence in the short-term follow-up. Interestingly, the literature analysis shows that there is still limited evidence for the antiviral treatment by acyclovir in children with acute infection of EB virus associated with facial paralysis. Conclusion Antiviral treatment may be beneficial to EB viremia with facial paralysis.

Objective To investigate the CT manifestations of gastric carcinoma invasion to lesser omentum and to assess the im-pact of lesser omentum on the spreading of gastric carcinoma. Methods We retrospectively reviewed CT findings in 48 patients with gastric carcinoma and lesser omentum involved for primary tumor and the lesser omentum abnormalities. The influence of lesser o-mentum on the extension of gastric carcinoma as well as the accompanied ascites were also analyzed. Results CT manifestations of lesser omentum involvement in gastric carcinoma included the following items:① direct infiltration (35.4%,1 7/48),which was mainly shown as increased density of fatty tissue and the development of mass within the lesser omentum, including spreading into the liver through the lesser omentum directly in two cases;② omental seeding (25.0%,12/48),including smudged appearance (1 1 cases)and omental caking (1 case);③ metastasis of lymph nodes (64.6%,31/48),including enlargement and increase of lymph nodes (27 cases)and cystic mass (4 cases).Ascites was found in 1 1 patients and fluid collection in the lesser sac was shown in 3 of these 1 1 patients. The lesser omentum forms the anterior wall of the lesser sac and separates the fluid collection in the lesser sac from the ascites in the greater peritoneal cavity.Ascites was associated with the omental seeding statistically. Conclusion CT scan is helpful for detecting lesser omentum invasion by gastric carcinoma. The imaging features consist of mass sign, enlargement of lymph nodes, smudged andcakingappearance, and so on.Lesser omentum may also play a certain role in both the extension of gastric carcinoma and the compartmentalization of ascites due to gastric carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the current status of job burnout among anesthetists in Ningxia and to analyze its related risk factors. Methods A total of 310 anesthetists from 30 public hospitals in Ningxia were conducted to collect data on the job burnout by Maslach Burnout InventoryHuman Services Survey (MBI-HSS).The factors associated with severe job burnout and its three domains (high emotional exhaustion, high depersonalization and low personal accomplishment) were included in the multinomial logistic regression analysis. Results The incidence of job burnout and its three domains (high emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and low personal accomplishment) were 18 (5.81%) cases,134 (43.22%) cases,35 (11.29%) cases and 128 (41.29%) cases, respectively.Multinomial logistic regression analysis results indicated that the risk degree associated with job burnout was master and higher degree (OR=4.695,95%CI 1.556-4.172).The risk facts associated with three components of job burnout were work time per week [40-60 h (OR=4.420,CI 2.504-7.802);≥60 h (OR =7.469,95%CI 1.758-31.733)] and tertiary hospital (OR =1.847,95%oCI 1.112-3.069);master and higher degree (OR=2.306,95%CI 1.032-5.155),working years [6-15 years (OR=0.358,95%CI 0.135-0.949)] and cases of anesthesia per year [≥390 cases (OR =3.352,95%CI 1.301-8.639)];secondary hospital (OR =1.717,95%CI 1.045-2.823).Conclusion This survey indicates that job burnout exists among anesthetists in Ningxia and is mainly displayed in emotional exhaustion and low personal accomplishment domains.Master and higher degree tend to occur serve job burnout.
