Objective To explore the hospitalization expenses and its related factors of injury cases in Shenzhen city in 2006,and to provide basis for the expense control in future.Methods The medical expense proportion was calculated on 7 180 injury cases with hospitalization data from Shenzhen injury surveillance system,ANOVA and multivariate regression analysis were used to determine the influencing factors for the expenses.Result The medical expenses of injury inpatients in Shenzhen were 3 835.65 RMB/case and 437.86 RMB/case/day.36.10% and 20.27% of the total expenses were attributed to medication and therapy,respectively.The expense per day was correlated strongly with the level of hospital,length of stay,age,method of payment and injury location.Conclusions The disease burden of injury was higher than that of other diseases,Hospitalization expenses can be effectively controlled by taking strategies,such as enhancing the care and treatment before hospitalization,shortening the duration of hospitalization,avoiding infection in hospital and so on.

Objective To illuminate the incidence and mortality of stroke in Shenzhen urban citizens,and to explore the regularity and characteristics of stroke occurrence in shenzhen.Method According to the guide of WHO-MONICA,the registered data of Shenzhen stroke incidence was collected and analyzed.Results The results showed there were 21 170 new stroke cases from 2003 to 2006 in Shenzhen,including 6661(31.0%) Ischemic stroke,1 4391(68.0%) Intracerebral Hemorrhage and 118(1.0%) unspecified cases,with gender ratio of 1.49 and the average age of 61.3?16.2 yrs.Compared to the World-wide standardized rate of 268.22/100 000,the average annual incidence of Stroke in shenzhen was 148.66/100 000.The annual incidence increased with age,and showed a tendency to rise steadily year by year in both genders.The mortality of stroke was 10.6% with no statistical significance between male rate of 11.1% and female rate of 9.8%.There was significant difference between the mortalities of Intracerebral Hemorrhage(25.2%) and Ischemic Stroke(3.6%)(P

Objective: To investigate knowledge, attitude and purchase behavior for snack nutrition among parents of school aged children in Shenzhen, so as to provide support and scientific basis for developing targeted intervention program for child healthy dietary behavior. Methods: Through cluster random sampling method, a total of 4 517 parents of students graded in 2 from 116 primary schools in Shenzhen were invited to participate into a self administered questionnaire survey. Results: Parental cognition towards snack nutrition varied substantially. The majority of parents were worried about the health and safety issues of snack and were aware of the risk of eating disorder of consistent snakc consumption in children. Only 21.18% of parents reported frequent snack purchasing behaviors. Children s snacks, mainly included milk, dairy products, vegetable, fruit, bread and cake, are mostly purchased by parents, and the snack choices were related to nutrition, hygiene and taste. In addition, most parents paid attention to the production date whereas less than one third of them read the nutrition facts labels. Parents with different knowledge level towards snack nutrition differed in eating attitude and behavior. Conclusion Parents should be further educated about nutrition and food safety knowledge to improve nutritional literacy, as well as attitude towards healthy diet and snack purchasing ehavior to better guide their children to develop good eating habits.

Objective To evaluate the effects of different interventios on insulin resistance and ?-cell function in population with impaired glucose tolerance(impaired glucose tolerance,IGT).Methods The total of 382 cases of IGT were divided into five groups according to interventions:control(C),diet plus exercise group(D+E),Acarbose Group(A),Metformin(M)and traditional Chinese medicine Group(TCM),with each group making the appropriate intervention programmes.BMI,FPG,2hPG,F-Ins,P-Ins,F-CP and P-CP were determined before intervention and yearly during the follow up,and BMI,HOMA-IR,HOMA-? were calculated.Results By the end of the study,insulin,F-CP,IR Group D+E and FPG,2hPG,insulin,C-peptide,IR in the other groups were significantly lower than before the intervention(P

Objective:To identify the risk factors for premature proximal femur physeal closure (PPC) in children treated surgically for femoral neck fractures.Methods:Data of 106 children with an open triradiate cartilage who were treated surgically for a femoral neck fracture were retrospectively analyzed. Age, gender, laterality, mechanism of injury, the type of fracture, initial displacement, time to reduction, fixation method, whether the implant crossed the physeal plate, reduction method, reduction quality and development of femoral head avascular necrosis (AVN) were collected. PPC of the proximal femur was assessed through postoperative 6-12 months radiographs.Results:A total of 106 patients with an open triradiate cartilage were followed up, with an average duration of 20.4±13.3 months (range, 6-86 months). The overall rate of PPC following paediatric femoral neck fractures treated surgically was 36.8% (39/106). Among the 39 patients with PPC, 25 were males and 14 were females; the average age at the time of injury was 9.7±3.6 years (range, 3-15 years); 23 patients were involved in left hips and 16 were in right; the mechanisms of injury included motor vehicle accident in 5 fractures, falling injury in 21, sports-related injury in 12 and other causes in 1 fracture; two hips were Delbet type I, and 26 hips and 11 hips were Delbet type II and III, separately; type II and III of initial displacement were involved in 26 and 13 patients, separately; the mean duration from injury to surgery was 3.3±2.8 d (range, 1-14 d); 2 hips were treated with Kirschner wires, 35 hips with screw fixation, and the remaining 2 hips underwent screw and plate fixation; 2 hips had the hardware crossing the proximal femoral growth plate, and the remaining 37 hips didn’t; 15 hips were treated by closed reduction and internal fixation, and the other 24 hips underwent open reduction and internal fixation; anatomical reduction was achieved in 14 patients, acceptable reduction in 24 hips and unacceptable reduction in 1 hip; 24 hips developed AVN at the latest follow-up and the remaining 15 hips didn’t. Statistical analysis indicated that age ( t=3.875, P< 0.001), the severity of initial displacement ( Z=-2.118, P=0.034) and the rate of AVN ( χ2=42.280, P< 0.001) in patients with PPC were significantly higher than those in patients without; Logistic regression analysis confirmed age ( OR=1.288, P=0.011) and AVN ( OR=40.336, P< 0.001) as risk factors for PPC. ROC curve analysis indicated 10 years was the cut off age to significantly increase the rate of PPC. The rate of PPC in patients aged over 10 years (63.6%, 21/33) was significantly higher than that (24.7%, 18/73) in those aged less than 10 years ( χ2=14.848, P< 0.001). Conclusion:Age over 10 years and AVN are risk factors for PPC in children with femoral neck fractures treated surgically.

Objective: To explore the status of sugar sweetened beverages(SSBs) and its associated factors among primary and middle school students in Shenzhen, providing reference for nutrition and health education. Methods: A random number table and convenience sampling method was used to select 40 135 primary and middle school students aged 6-18 years in Shenzhen. Data was collected to investigate their SSBs knowledge and associated factors. Results: The proportion of SSBs knowledge score less than 60 points, between 60-79 points and 80-100 points were 5.6%, 41.9% and 52.4%. Multivariate analysis showed that age(4-6 grade, junior middle and high school), gender(female), parents education(high school or vocational schools, colleges and universities as bachelors, masters or doctors), students pay attention to the ingredient list (seldom, none), parental dissuasion or reward behavior (only forced dissuasion, giving no dissuasion, occasional reward, no reward), and the storing beverages at home (seldom, none) were associated with total SSBs knowledge score and milk containing beverage knowledge score ( β =-0.79，-1.19，-1.74，0.58， 1.20 ，1.81，2.98，3.13，2.70，4.85，6.34,6.41，-0.99，-0.78，-1.81，-2.40，5.85，6.26，0.61，1.92， P <0.05). Age(4-6 grade, junior middle and high school), gender(female), father s education background(with colleges and universities as bachelor, masters or doctors), mother s education background(high schools or vocational schools, colleges and universities as bachelors, masters or doctors), parents dissuation behaviors(giving no dissuation), parents rewarding behavior(seldom, none), storing beverages at home(seldom, none) were associated with the total SSBs knowledge score and milk containing beverage knowledge score( β =-0.68， -0.92 ，-0.49，0.26，0.51，1.05，1.09，0.90，1.93，2.62，2.55，-0.68，0.93，1.13，0.21，0.92， P <0.05). Conclusion Primary and middle school students have moderate to high level of SSBs knowledge. It is necessary for students and their parents to learn more SSBs related nutrition healthy knowledge, and to reduce home availability of SSBs.

Objective: To understand health literacy and its associated factors among middle school students in Shenzhen, to provide scientific basis for further formulating targeted intervention measures. Methods: From October to December, 2019, 7 423 middle school students in 10 districts of Shenzhen were selected by multistage stratified random cluster sampling. Multivariate linear regression was used to analyze factors affecting health literacy and scores in each dimensions. Results: The total score for health literacy was(107.39±22.31), including physical activity(16.81±5.28), interpersonal relationship(20.69±4.10), stress management(21.64±5.53), spiritual growth(14.93±3.96), health awareness (15.61±4.96) and nutrition(17.71±4.65). According to the multivariate linear regression analysis, girls, general and vocational high schools, educational level of parents and boarding in school were significantly associated with health literacy of middle school students( B=-3.04, -7.72, -9.99, 1.56, 2.78, -3.85, P < 0.05 ). Conclusion Middle school students in Shenzhen have a high level of health literacy, which is related to school type and parental educational background. It is suggested that measures should be taken to improve the health literacy of middle school students.

Objective:To prepare camel-derived nanoantibodies that can bind to the recombinant protein VirB12 antigen with high affinity and lay the foundation for further research.Methods:Xinjiang Bactrian camels were immunized six times with VirB12 recombinant protein, total RNA was extracted from lymphocytes isolated from peripheral blood, and the VHH gene fragment was amplified by nested PCR to construct a phage VHH display library. ELISA solid-phase affinity and enrichment methods were used for screening. After three rounds of affinity screening, the clones enriched in the second and third rounds were randomly picked out, and the binding of a nanoantibody with soluble expression to VirB12 was analyzed by ELISA. After sequence determination and multiple alignment, repetitive sequences were removed, and finally five non-redundant sequences were obtained, which were named D1, E6, H8, H9, and H10. The five identified nanoantibody genes were transformed into the WK6 strain, and the soluble expression of an intercellular substance was carried out at 16 °C. After purified expression of Ni-NTA, the binding ability and thermal stability of nanoantibodies and the antigen VirB12 protein were detected by Western Blot and ELISA.Results:Five strains of nanoantibodies were expressed in WK6 bacteria in soluble form. SDS-PAGE showed that the purity of five anti-VirB12 nanoantibodies was close to 90%, and they had high antigen-binding activity and obvious antigen-antibody concentration dependence. All four strains of nanoantibodies showed high thermal stability, and after being treated at 90 ℃, they could still retain more than 60% binding activity.Conclusions:In the study, a VHH phage display library with a capacity of 2.8×10 8 cfu/ml was constructed from Xinjiang Bactrian camel lymphocytes immunized with VirB12 recombinant protein. Five anti-VirB12 nanoantibodies with high affinity and thermal stability were obtained through solid-phase screening and enrichment and soluble monoclonal ELISA detection. These results laid the foundation for further development of VirB12 nanoantibodies.

Background Long-term excessive consuming sugar-sweetened beverages have a negative impact on health. In order to decrease the consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages and create a healthy food environment, the Health Commission of Shenzhen Municipality pioneered to enforce health warning labels presented in commercial locations vending sugar-sweetened beverages based on relevant provisions of the Health Regulations of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone，but its effect has not yet been evaluated. Objective To evaluate the impact of presenting health warning labels in commercial locations vending sugar-sweetened beverages in Shenzhen. Methods A multi-stage stratified sampling method was used to randomly select one street in each of the 10 districts (excluding the Shenzhen Shantou Special Cooperation Zone) of Shenzhen followed by a convenience sampling to select sampling sites to conduct an undercover investigation on the presentation of health warning labels for sugar-sweetened beverages in six different types of venues (n=232) such as shopping malls, ordinary supermarkets/convenience stores, self-service vending machines, catering service places, medical institutions, and venues serving minors' education and activities. At the same time, 238 site managers, 1002 adult consumers, and 7396 child and adolescent consumers were interviewed. Results Among 213 commercial locations vending sugar-sweetened beverages, the rate of health warning label installation was 26.3%, with the highest installation rate in shopping malls (55.0%). Among site managers, 47.8% were aware that commercial locations were required to install health warning labels, and 50.0% were aware of the standards for setting up health warning labels. The higher the awareness of relevant regulations, the higher the rate of installation of health warning labels. More than half of site managers (55.3%) believed that after installing health warning labels, the sales of sugar-sweetened beverages and sugar-sweetened beverages in large-volume packages had decreased compared to the same period in previous years. Most of the interviewed consumers indicated that if they saw the health warning labels for sugar-sweetened beverages, they would buy less, give up purchasing, or choose low-sugar or sugar-free beverages, and also discourage their family members or friends from drinking such beverages. Compared with participants without awareness of the health warning labels, both adult and child and adolescent consumers with awareness of the health warning labels believed that the installation is beneficial to their good eating habits and reported a higher proportion of discouraging family members or friends from drinking such beverages, with a lower frequency of consuming sugar-sweetened beverages. Conclusion Health warning labels for sugar-sweetened beverages have a significant effect on promoting behavior changes, and both site managers and citizens have a high level of support for them. However, in view of the low voluntary compliance rate of commercial locations and the installation rate of health warning labels, the publicity and enforcement of the Health Regulations of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone should be enhanced.
