Objective: To investigate the relationship between the cognition and the self-rated health in military personnel in high altitude area. Methods: 490 military personnel in high altitude area were assessed with Self-rated Health Measurement Scale and the questionnaire of cognitive appraisal to environment and service. Results: The scores of the self-rated health in military personnel in high altitude area were higher than average(6.5~7.9, full score is 10); The main factors perceived by soldiers as having negative influence on health were poor communication with outside (53.6%), lack of opportunity of contact with opposite sex(51.8%), lack of amusement(48.4%)and service of hygiene(46.2%). Objective: To investigate the coping strategies and it’s relationship with self- rated health state of military personnel in Tibet. Methods: 490 military personnel in Tibet were assessed by Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and Self- rated Health Measurement Scale. Results: Military personnel in Tibet adopting positive strategies (23.3%) were more than those adopting negative strategies(16.2%) when facing stresses. The most common coping strategies they adopted were "restraining negative emotion(36.9%)" and "consoling themselve(s41.2%)". The scores of positive coping style had signifi- cant correlation with the scores of three subscales and the total scores of the self- rated health. Conclusion: Different cop- ing strategies have different effects on self- rated health of military personnel in Tibet, and the positive strategies could im- prove their status of self- rated health, but negative ones had contrary effect to health.

Objective: To investigate the status of the quality of life (QOL) and its related factors of graduate students in military medical universities. Methods: 189 graduate students of a military medical university were assessed with WHO Quality of Life-BREF, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), Life Event Scale, Perceived Social Support Scale, and Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire. Results: The scores of QOL of graduate students in the military medical university were higher than average; The four domains of QOL were significantly correlated with introversion- extroversion, neuroticism, life event, social support, and coping style. The result from multiple regression showed that introversion- extroversion, neuroticism, social support, life event, and negative coping style were main factors influencing QOL. Conclusion: The status of the QOL of graduate students in military medical universities was pretty good; Their QOL could be improved by these factors, such as keeping stable emotion, developing extroversion, seeking social support, relieving the influence of bad life event, reducing negative coping behavior.

Objective To investigate celecoxib self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (CXB-SMEDDS) that was developed to increase the dissolution rate and oral bioavailability of celecoxib.Methods The formulation of CXB-SMEDDS was optimized by pseudo-ternary phase diagrams analysis.The appearance, morphology, particle size distribution and in vitro drug release behavior of CXB-SMEDDS were investigated after diluted by water.The bioavailability of CXB-SMEDDS was determined by oral administration to rats compared with CXB suspension.Results An optimized formulation was selected: Medium chain triglycerides as oil phase, Tween 20 as surfactant, Transcutol HP as cosurfactant.The ratio of oil phase, surfactant and cosurfactant was 2∶9∶9.Upon mixing with water, CXB-SMEDDS formed a clear and transparent microemulsion solution with homogeneous small spherical under transmission electron microscopy.For particle size of CXB-SMEDDS was found to be (57.6±14.2) nm.The in vitro dissolution test indicated a significant improvement in release characteristics of CXB.The AUC of CXB-SMEDDS and CXB suspension were (5.54±0.94) and (3.32±0.59) mg·L-1·h, respectively.The relative bioavailability was 166.9%.Conclusion The SMEDDS can significantly increase celecoxib dissolution in vitro and bioavailability in vivo.

Objective: To compere OQL of recruits of armed police in south area fore-and-aft the basic military training.Methods: The WHOQOL-BREF Scale was used to investigate 539 recruits before the training and at the end of the 3rd month of the basic military training.Results: The score of physiological,psychological,social,and environmental domain of the OQL of recruits before the basic military training were68.90?13.36,65.65?14.28,67.16?16.71,61.06?14.23,The score of physiological,psychological,social,and environmental domain of the OQL of recruits before the basic military training were 71.52?12.16,70.34?14.78,74.10?22.00,66.07?14.36,the differences were salient.Conclution:The Basic Military Training can improve the OQL of recruits of armed police in south area.The improvement are bear on the education of adapting and improved training.

Objective To investigate the differences in the structures,numbers and phenotypes of the dendritic cells (DCs)at different stages in colorectal cancer (CRC)tissue,and to explore the effect of DCs in the occurrence and development of CRC.Methods 20 cases of CRC tissue were chosen as CRC group,other 20 cases of corresponding para-cancer tissue were chosen as control group.Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the distribution, the structures,the number of positive cells at different stages;Western blotting was used to detect the expressions of CD1a and CD83.Results The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that DCs scattered among glands or vessels in both groups;the CD1a+imature DCs (imDCs)were round and oval,dendritic processes were faintly visible in both groups,and the number of CD1a+imDCs in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.01).The CD83+ mature DCs (mDCs)were irregular,branched in both groups,and the number of CD83+mDCs in CRC group was significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.01).The results of Western blotting method showed that the expression of CD1a protein was higher and the expression of CD83 protein was lower in CRC group than control group (P<0.01).Conclusion CD1a+imDCs may play important roles in promoting the occurrence and development of CRC;CD83+mDCs may inhibit the occurrence and development of CRC.

Objective: To study the relationship between the individual psychological characteristic of medical students and the way parents bring up them. Methods: Data on SCL-90, 16PF,EMBU of 1550 medical students were analysed. Results: It is showed that girl students have experienced more of the parents' emotion, understanding and favouritism, while the boy students have experienced more of their parents' refusal, deny, punishment, severity and excessive interference. There are more only-one-children who experience parents' emotion, understanding, interference and excessive protection. Conclusions: Parents' bad breeding attitude and behavior influence children's psychological health and forming of the individual characteristic directly or indirectly

Objective To investigate the long-term efficacy of nonmyeloablative autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(NAST) to cure refractory autoimmune disease(AD).MethodLong-term follow up of four cases of AD patients with NAST were summarized.The pretreatment regimen was intravenous injection of cytarabin (200 mg· kg-1· d-1 ) and cyclophosphamide (40 mg· kg-1· d-1).The therapeutic effect was evaluated by the change of symptoms and signs and long term complications.Changes of immune function were detected by flow-cytometry.ResultsFive cases of patients had been successfully engrafted.The average time for peripheral leucocytes count to reach 4.0×109/L was 12 days.It needed 10 days for platelets to return to 100×109/L and 22 days for hemoglobin to 120 g/L.Apparent remission of symptoms and signs was observed after transplantation.Lymphocyte subtypes analysis pre- and post- NAST showed that count of CD4+ and the ratio of CD4 +/CD8 + was returned to normal.One patient gave birth to a healthy baby four years after transplantation.Three female patients returned tonormal life. Conclusions Compared with classical myeloablative stem cell transplantation,NAST has a rapid hematopoietic recovery and good long-term therapeutic effect in AD.The quality of life in AD patients treated with NAST is higher than those treated with myeloablative hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy and safety of two different conditioning regimens in nonmyeloablative autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (NAST) for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods Different conditioning regimens were used in two groups:cytarabin combined cyclophosphamide in group 1 and ATG combined cyclophosphamide in group 2.Different recovery time of leucocytes,neutrophils and platelets in the two groups were compared.Statistical analysis were carried out by paired t-test.Results The mean time for peripheral leucocytes reaching 1.0×109/L,neutrophils getting up to 0.5×109/L,platelet raising to 100×l09/L and hemoglobin rising to 120 g/L in group 1 were [(7.2±1.3),(8.0±1.5),(10.5±1.4),(22.1±2.3)days] and [(10.4±2.1),(12.0±1.9),(19.3±2.1),(28.1± 2.4)] days in group 2.The difference was statistically significant (P＜0.01).CD4+ cell count and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ of pre- and pro-NAST was changed.No significant differences were observed in the two groups.Conclusion For the sake of safety and hematopoietic reconstitution,we recommend cytarabin combined cyclophosphamide as the preferred conditioning regimen.

BACKGROUND:It is important to establish an ideal mouse model of severe aplastic anemia for investigating the mechanism and finding new therapies for aplastic anemia. OBJECTIVE:To establish a severe aplastic anemia mouse model by using recombinant human interferon-γand busulfan. METHODS:Sixty healthy Kunming female mice were randomly divided into two groups:model group (n=50) and control group (n=10). The model group was given recombinant human interferon-γat a dose of 1×104 U/d by intraperitoneal injection and busulfan at a dose of 18 mg/(kg·d) through stomach feeding for 7 days. The same volume of physiological saline was given to control group. Multi-parameters, including general condition, body weight, blood cellcount, morphology and biopsy of bone marrow were analyzed in two groups. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At day 7 after treatment, the weight, white blood cellcount, hemoglobin, blood platelet, reticulocyte count in model group were significantly lower than control group (P<0.05). Bone marrow smears and biopsy of model group showed marked reduction of bone marrow proliferation and increases of percentages of non-hematopoietic cellclusters and adipose tissue. The oil drop and fat vacuole were apparently seen in the model group. Severe aplastic anemia mouse model can be established by using recombinant human interferon-γand busulfan successful y, which is economic, stable and easy to operate.
