1.Assessment of coronary atherosclerotic plaques in type 2 diabetic patients
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2010;09(12):871-873
The study intended to evaluate the atherosclerotic plaque burden and composition among symptomatic patients with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus.Total 262 symptomatic patients, including 79 with type 2 diabetes and 183 without, underwent multislice computed tomography coronary angiography. The extent of coronary atherosclerosis and 3 plaque types were studied.Patients with diabetes showed more diseased coronary segments ( P < 0.01 ) and more nonobstructive segments ( P < 0.05 ) than non diabetic patients.Compared to non diabetic patients, diabetic patients had a higher number of coronary segments with non-calcified ( P = 0.005 ) and calcified ( P = 0.016 ) plaques, but not for mixed plaques. The results indicate that type 2 diabetic patients have higher coronary plaque burden.
2.Therapeutic Progression of Recurrent Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2009;30(7):37-40
The status and progression of therapy for recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma are expounded, including radio-therapy, surgery, chemotherapy and targeted therapy, etc. Radiotherapy is the most important mode that three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy and intensity modulation radiation therapy are strongly recommended in order to reduce the impairment of normal tissue. Surgical therapy is reasonable for the early stage patients who relapse less than a year from the initial treatment with surgical indication. Conventional radiotherapy with or without brachytherapy is recommended for those who relapse more than one year without surgical indication. Radiotherapy combining with chemotherapy, targeted therapy and sensitizer is proposed for the patients with local advanced stage by re-staging.
3.Research of medical equipment risk early warning system based on EAI.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2014;38(3):225-228
After signs of risk have been happened in risk management of medical equipment at present, reports are taken step by step. So there is a report not timely, incomplete information, it is difficult to monitor, and many other problems. With the improvement of risk management requirements; the development of the information technology s apply, and increasing sources of information used for risk early warning analysis. This paper analyzes the requirement of risk management, and proposes a total solution of enterprise risk early warning based on EAI. It will make managers accurately and fully grasp the risks, find risk signs timely, speed up the response to risk.

4.Thalidomide inhibits the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1?in synovial tissues of rats with collagen-induced arthritis
Chinese Journal of Rheumatology 2001;0(04):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of thalidomide(Thd)on rheumatoid arthritis and its relation with the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1?(HIF-1?).Methods Female SD rats were randomly divided into two groups:a normal group and a model group. Each group was further divided into three subgroups:the control group, the vehicle group and the Thd group. The model group was subjected to collagen-induced arthritis. The Thd group and the vehicle group were given Thd(600 mg/kg)once daily and its vehicle DMSO respectively. The profile of arthritis was assessed by observing the clinical symptoms and histopathology and a qualitative clinical score of arthritis. The expression of HIF-1?in synovial tissuses was further detected by Western blot and immunohistochemistry technics. Results Compared to the control group with arthritis, clinical signs and pathological changes of arthritis were improved one and two weeks after ad- ministration of Thd respectively, and the qualitative clinical score of arthritis was evidently lowered. The ex- pression of HIF-1?in the inflammed synovial tissuses was found to be enhanced(P

Chinese Journal of Prevention and Control of Chronic Diseases 2006;0(02):-
Objective To know the primary effect of nutrition intervention in farmers. Methods The questionnaires were used to do baseline and evaluation survey. The intervention ways were used in trial group, including holding lectures, posting posters, sending out healthy material, quizzes with prizes, recommending salts low in sodium to each family, training to make healthy food by the chef; but there were no measures in control group. Results There were statistical significance in healthy awareness of nutrition, exercises and chronic diseases between two groups after intervention; However, the average intake amounts of vegetables did not reach the recommendation of diet guidelines; After intervention, the intake frequency of vegetables and fruits had statistical significance between before and after intervention in trial group, and also had statistical significance in two groups. Conclusion The awareness of healthy knowledge and attitudes has been obvious improvement, but the diets and life styles of farmers have no obvious change. The diet structure and behavior of farmers have been increasingly rational but not enough. The farmers have started to increase the intake times of vegetables and fruits and built up the conception of eating more vegetables and fruits.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the total flavonoids content and antioxidant activity in the barks, leaves, male flowers and seeds of Eucommiae ulmoides. METHODS:UV spectrophotometry was used to determine the total flavonoids content in differ-ent parts;tests was conducted to clear 2,2′-nitrilobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS+),1,1-diphenyl-2-trinitro-phenylhydrazine(DPPH)radicals and the reducing ability of Cu2+,using half clear/reduction concentration value(IC50)as evalua-tion indexes, and vitamin C was regarded as positive control. RESULTS:The total flavonoids content of the E. ulmoides from hight to low was as follows as leaves>male flowers>barks>seeds, except there was no significant difference in barks and seeds (P>0.05),the other parts had significant differences (P<0.05);the ability of different parts eliminating DPPH and ABTS+ free radical was as follows as leaves>male flowers>seeds>barks, except there was no significant difference in the indicators of leaves and male flowers(P>0.05),the other parts had significant differences(P<0.05);the ability of reducing Cu2+ free radical was as follows as leaves>male flowers>barks>seeds, there was significant difference in leaves and males flowers with barks and seeds (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:The content of total flavonoids in leaves and male flowers is high, and the antioxidant activity is strong, which has a great prospect of exploitation and utilization to make up for deficiencies in barks of E. ulmoides.

Objective To evaluate the effects of propofol on apoptosis in the hippocampal neurons of fetal rats in vitro. Methods The isolated hippocampal neurons were seeded into 96-well plates or 24-well plates at a density of 5 × 104 cells/ml.The cells were randomly divided into 5 groups (n =18 each) using a random number table:control group (group C),in tralipid group (group Ⅰ) and propofol 1,10,100 μmol/L groups (P1-3 groups). In group Ⅰ,10% intralipid was added to the culture media until the final concentration reached 100 μmol/L.In groups P1-3,propofol was added to the culture media until the final concentration reached 1,10 and 100 μmol/L,respectively,and the cells were then incubated for 3 h.The cell apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry. The expression of Bcl-2 mRNA and caspase-3 mRNA was detected by semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).The expression of Bcl-2 and actived-caspase-3 protein was determined by Western blot analysis. The apoptosis rate was calculated. Results Compared with group C,the apoptosis rate was significantly increased, the expression of Bcl-2 mRNA and protein was down-regulated,and the expression of caspase-3 mRNA and actived-caspase-3 protein was up-regulated in P1-3 groups (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the parameters mentioned above between group Ⅰ and group C (P > 0.05).Conclusion Propofol induces apoptosis in isolated hippocampal neurons by inhibiting Bcl-2 expression and enhancing caspase-3 activity in fetal rats.
