Objective To explore the impact of the variable number of tandem repeats of monoamine oxidase A gene (MAOA-uVNTR) on the intensity of brain activation during the recognition of facial expression in patients with depression and healthy controls. Methods 28 cases of depression,as well as 33 healthy controls who were matched in gender, age and years of education were divided into different genotypes with the methods of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and 1.5% agarose gel electrophoresis separation.61 cases were scanned to compare the intensity of brain activation in the recognition of happy, sad and neutral facial expression. Results In healthy controls, cases with high-activity genotype showed increased activation in left cuneus, left inferior frontal gyrus, right medial frontal gyrus and left inferior parietal lobule in comparision with carriers of low-activity genotype. In the depressed, compared with patients with low-activity genotype, cases with high-activity genotype decreased activation in bilateral putamen, left postcentral gyrus, left fusiform gyrus, right superior temporal gyrus and right thalamus. Conclusion Healthy controls with high-activity genotype shows the trend of priority for the identification of negative emotion, this genotype may be one of the risk factors for normal people suffering from depression.Patients with high-activity genotype is associated with the inhibitory of positive emotional state, this may attribute partly to the emotional symptoms in such kind of patients more serious.

Objective To investigate the characteristics and distribution of class teaching skill points in state high quality course pathology using Flanders interaction analysis system to analyze the teaching video of pathology course. Methods Teaching videos of state high quality course (pathology course) between 2006 and 2012 were analyzed by Flanders interaction analysis system.Frequencies of using teaching skill, presentation skill and interaction skill were statistically analyzed. Results The study found that frequencies of using teaching skill points in pathology course were decreased in the following order:presentation skill (53.94%),interaction skill (26.64%) and teaching skill (19.42%).Sensory focusing was most commonly used in presentation skill.Monitoring and expressing concern were most commonly used in interaction skill.Gestures and cases were most commonly used in teaching skill. Conclusions Teachers in pathology teaching should correctly handle the relationship among the presentation, interaction and teaching skills according to the teaching objectives and teaching content.

China Pharmacist 2015;(2):301-306
DPP-4 inhibitors are new oral hypoglycemic drugs and hot spots developed and launched in recent years, and they pro-vide new choices for the clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes. In China, DPP-4 inhibitors that are approved to use in the treatment of type 2 diabetes are all imported products currently. In the paper, the current intellectual property situation of DPP-4 inhibitors that are developed and approved at home and abroad is researched and analyzed. Reasonable use of the patent information of DPP-4 inhibitors that is about to expire or have failed can provide good guidance for the subsequent development of DPP-4 inhibitors in domestic with promising curative effect and good market prospects, and can generate new patents in order to enhance the market competitiveness.

AIM:To evaluate the availability and our experience of intraoperative image-guidance in endoscopic nasocular operation.METHODS:Seven cases of endoscopic nasal surgery with intraoperative image-guidance were retropectively reviewed, including 3 cases of optic nerve injury;3 cases of foreign object of optic behind the eyeball;1 case of retrobulbar tumor(angeioma).RESULTS:The preoperative preparatory time would take 15 minutes, including coordination, head holder localization, conventional instrument registration. In our cases, the localization accuracy between 3-D image landmarks of navigation system and actual anatomical landmarks was less than 1.3mm.The optic nerve and other anatomical points could be orientated accurately in intraoperative procedures. No complication occurred.CONCLUSION:Nasal endoscope combined with imageguidance systems provides accurate anatomical localization of anterior skull base with enlarged operation field. It is possible for surgeons to observe important anatomical structures during endoscopic surgery. It could increase the effectiveness and decrease surgical complications, especially in complicated cases.

Based on the needs of healthcare system reform, Australia has implemented activity based funding(ABF) payment mode nationwide, and established the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority as the specific implementation agency in 2011. The main responsibilities and functions of the ABF payment mode covers pricing of medical services, classification of healthcare services, collection of clinical data and cost accounting of healthcare services. ABF payment mode presents outstanding advantages in promoting the capacity of healthcare service, maintaining fairness of healthcare service supplies and carrying out cooperation across different institutions. These efforts provide important references for China in its top-level design of payment method, pilot project of classification system, medical service items and price dynamic adjustment, informationization and information standardization construction among public hospitals.

Objective To assess alternations in left ventricular volume and systolic synchrony in patients with frequent premature ventricular complexes(PVCs) from the right ventricular outflow tract(RVOT).Methods Twenty-nine patients with frequent isolated PVCs from RVOT were included and 30 healthy subjects as control.Instantaneous full-volume imaging(IFI) was performed to evaluate left ventricle volumetric parameters, including end-systolic volume (ESV),end-diastolic volume (EDV),stroke volume (SV),ejection fraction (EF),and systolic synchrony parameters, including systolic dyssynchrony index (SDI),dispersion end-systole (DISPES),mean end-systolic time (MES),pre-contraction time volume (PreContr) and post-contraction time volume (PostContr).Contraction front mapping was performed to visualize volumetric contraction sequence. All values of patients with PVCs were recorded during sinus beats (PVC-S) and premature ventricular beats (PVC-V) respectively. Results Significant differences were observed in left ventricular systolic volumetric and synchrony parameters between PVC-V and control subjects (P<0.01),as well as in MES and PreContr between PVC-S and control subjects (P<0.01).Conclusions Left ventricular systolic dysynchrony was demonstrated in patients with PVCs from RVOT.IFI was a novel tool to analyze left ventricular global and regional volumetric alternations.
