Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(21):3304-3309
BACKGROUND:Selection of resin core materials may affect the overal strength of the fiber posts.
OBJECTIVE:To compare the overal flexural strength of five kinds of resin core materials combined with glass fiber posts.
METHODS:Fifty viva glass fiber posts were randomly divided into five groups respectively binding to five different resin materials for repair:group A, MEDENTAL dual curing resin cement+glass fiber post;Group B, Tina dual curing resin cement+glass fiber post;group C, Bisco BisCem+glass fiber post;group D, 3M nano composite resin curing light P60+glass fiber post;group E, PULPDENT dual curing resin cement+glass fiber post. The root canals were embedded with self-curing plastic, and fixed in the universal testing machine. The load in tooth length axis was added onto the core at a 135° angle with a loading speed of 1.0 mm/min, until the fracture. Then, the stress at fracture and the fracture mode were measured.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The flexural strength was (83.248±7.857) N in group, (89.230±4.326) N in group B, (95.188±5.147) N in group C, (76.646±6.463) N in group D, and (83.064±3.964) N in group E. Except groups A and E, there were significant differences between every two groups (P<0.05). These findings indicate that Bisco BisCem resin cement binding to the fiber post can obtain a higher flexural strength.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2020;32(12):1208-1212
Objective:
To analyze the relationship between thrombin activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor ( TAFI ) and coronary heart disease ( CHD ), and to provide evidence for the prevention of CHD.
Methods:
The patients with CHD in Fushun Central Hospital in Liaoning Province were selected as the case group, the patients without CHD in the same hospital and period were selected as the control group. The demographic information and clinical examination results ( serum TAFI, lipid, glucose, etc. ) were collected to analyze the association between TAFI and CHD by logistic regression models. The multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between TAFI and CHD.
Results:
There were 222 cases, including 100 cases of stable angina, 44 cases of unstable angina and 78 cases of acute myocardial infarction, and 222 controls. The median ages of cases and controls were 62 and 57 years old. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum TAFI>22.88 μg/mL ( P75 of controls ) was associated with the risk of CHD ( OR=1.619, 95%CI: 1.011-2.593 ), unstable angina ( OR=2.917, 95%CI: 1.433-5.939 ) and acute myocardial infarction ( OR=2.626, 95%CI: 1.007-6.847 ).
Conclusion
The high level of TAFI is related to CHD, unstable angina and acute myocardial infarction.

ObjectiveTo explore the role of ERK1/2 in the expression of the type-1 plasminogen activator inhibitor(PAI-1) induced by parathonnone (PTH) in human renal tubular epithelial cell line HK-2 cells.MethodsVarious concentrentions of PTH and manifold durations were applied in the test. The expression of PAI-1 mRNA and protein in HK-2 cells was measured by RT-PCR and Western blotting,respectively.Besides,ERK1/2 protein was detected by Western blotting before the ERK1/2 inhibitor incubated with the HK-2 cells or after. Results The expression of PAI-1mRNA and protein was gradually up-regulatad along with the increasing concentrations of PTH(10-12-10-10 mol/L).The maximum level of PAI-1 mRNA and protein was detected in 10-10 mol/L PTH and was 4.01 and 3.81 times of control group.Otherwise, the decreased expression of PAI-1 was found while the concentrations of PTH were beyond 10-10 mol/L.The levels of PAI-1 mRNA and protein were increased in pace withtime from 12 to 72 hour,in time-dependent manner, which was 4.06 (12 h) and 4.03 (72 h) times of 0 hour group. The levels of ERK1/2 and PAI-1 were ascended after 10-10 mol/L PTH incubated with the HK-2 cells (all P<0.01).Howerver,both of them decended after cells were pretreated by the ERK1/2 inhibitor (all P<0.01),but were still higher than those of control group(all P<0.05).ConclusionERK1/2 kinase system partly participates in the regulation of PAI-1 induced by PTH in HK-2 cells.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2018;34(2):277-281,286
Objective:Accumulating evidences prove that macrophages affect tumor initiation and prognosis. Especially,tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are considered to enhance tumor growth, progression, angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis. Furthermore, tumor suppressive microenvironment can " reeducate" and polarize the phenotype and function of TAM. Recently, researchers use different ways to interfere and modify the phenotype and function of macrophages,to improve the recognition, phagocytosis and antigen presentation of macrophage, and enhance its antitumor activity. We will discuss the pro-tumorigenic properties of macrophage and TAM-targeting therapy as a promising novel strategy for tumor immunotherapy.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the ability of contrast enhanced multiple-row detector computed tomography(ceMDCT) in the determination of extramural venous invasion (EMVI) in patients with gastric cancer and to analyze associated factors of EMVI.
METHODSFrom January 2009 to December 2013, 253 patients with gastric cancer undergoing ceMDCT in Peking University People's Hospital were included in this study. The imaging characteristics and clinical data were retrospectively reviewed. Positive or negative EMVI on ceMDCT(ctEMVI) was determined according to the EMVI scores criteria defined by MR high resolution image of rectal cancer. Chi-square test was used to analyze the associations of ctEMVI with other images and clinicopathological data.
RESULTSThe positive rate of ctEMVI was 32.8%(83/253) according to the EMVI scores criteria. Positive ctEMVI was associated with following CT findings, such as ctT (χ(2)=46.848, P=0.000), ctN (χ(2)=41.095, P=0.000), ctM (χ(2)=23.864, P=0.000), tumor growth pattern (χ(2)=8.580, P=0.003), tumor sizes (χ(2)=21.177, P=0.000), and with pathological T staging (χ(2)=28.994, P=0.000) and N staging (χ(2)=28.671, P=0.000), while no association with age, gender, histological type and tumor differentiation were seen(all P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONSceMDCT can be used to detect ctEMVI in patients with gastric cancer. ctEMVI is associated with invasion depth, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis, tumor size, tumor location and growth pattern.

OBJECTIVETo observe the changes of L929 cell membrane with atomic force microscope (AFM) after infrasound exposure and to explore the mechanisms of effect of infrasound on cell membrane.
METHODSAfter primary culture, the L929 cells were exposed to infrasound with intensity output of 130 dB and frequency of 16 Hz 2 hours each day for 3 days. The subsequent changes in the membrane of the control cells and the cells exposed to the infrasound were determined by nano-scale scanning with AFM.
RESULTSAfter infrasound exposure, the normal prominence of the membrane became short and the dent became shallow in the 7.5 microm x 7.5 microm and 4.0 microm x 4.0 microm photographs. The prominence appeared as cobblestones. The surface of the membrane became smooth.
CONCLUSIONThe membrane structure of the L929 cells can be changed by infrasound exposure with intensity of 130 dB and frequency of 16 Hz. The change might be one of the characteristics of effect of infrasound on cell membrane.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2011;31(12):1087-1091
In order to summarize and analyze the progresses and problems of resistance testing and technology research on acupoints, investigate the related solutions, articles on resistance testing from 1990 to 2011 were collected, and advantages and shortcomings of different types of testing instruments were discussed in this article as well. Detection technology of acupoint impedance has under updating changes, which are often applied on locating acupoints and clinical diagnosis. The progresses of those technologies are mainly embodied in improvement of circuit model, which enable a longer testing duration, less media interference and so on. The previous studies often focus on resistance testing of the skin. Since dermal resistance does not equal to acupoint resistance, the designation of equivalent circuit does not embody the condition of cells, tissues and nerves at acupoints, and testing technology is often affected by factors such as polarization of electrodes, contact medium and anatomical characteristics of acupoints, the resistance of acupoints can not be taken as the effective framework of the diagnostic standard and judgement of therapeutic effect in clinic. Based on the key problems in resistance testing of acupoints, it is proposed by the article that the techniques and designation of circuit model should be reformed, and mathematical model should be established in the study to meet the requirement of the life system. Inductance of human body should be considered in resistance research of acupoints, and interference factors should be eliminate as far as possible in designation of equipments. Thus, the change law of acupoint resistance in the inner part of the body can be fully embodied by the designation of experiments.
