Objective To compare the clinical curative effect of virus inactivating activity of plasma and albumin compound sodium chloride injection in liquid plasma exchange(PE)for treatment of severe systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods A total of 75 cases of severe SLE patients were randomized according to the number table method patients for virus inactivation of plasma group A(37 cases)and liquid albumin plasma group B (38 cases). The changes of immunoglobulin protein(IgG,IgA,IgM),ESR,complement C3,C -reactive protein(CRP),blood urea nitrogen(BUN)and serum creatinine(CR)index in the two groups were observed before and after PE.Clinical SLE-DAI(systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index)score changes,adverse reactions occurred rate and clinical efficacy of two groups were compared.Results After treatment of group A was treated with PE,laboratory indicators except IgM(t =0.509,P =0.612),other indexes were significantly decreased,differences were statistically significant (t =29.447,186,56.447,41.867,12.841,92.675,92.980,all P <0.01).In group B,the IgM,IgA,CRP,C3 and preoperative showed no statistical significance(t =0.565,1.165,0.902,all P >0.05),while IgG and ESR,bun,crea and replacement of the differences have statistical significance(t value were 28.999,194.9,40.634,40.634104.918, P value <0.01 ).Ttotal efficiency of group A was 91.9%,the average clinical SLEDAI score was (9.4 ± 1.2)points,total efficiency of group B was 77.3%,clinical SLEDAI score was (13.8 ±1.1 )points and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant(χ2 =8.831,t =15.560,P <0.01).In group A,the adverse reaction rate was 15.3%,that of group B was 16.2%,there was no significant difference between the two groups(χ2 =0.509,P >0.05).Conclusion The clinical curative effect of virus inactivation of plasma replacement solution in treatment of severe SLE is better than that of albumin by Ringer's solution.

Objective To investigate the changes of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),transforming growth factor-?1 (TGF-?1) and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) in plasma and apheresis platelets with or without activation by shaking. Methods A total of 10 units of double therapeutic dose platelets were collected and each unit was divided into 3 groups to take samples of plasma (3ml/person,as control group),fresh apheresis platelets (5ml/person,as experimental group1) and activated apheresis platelets (platelets stored by shaking at 22 ℃ for 5 days,5ml/person,as experimental group2). The levels of VEGF,TGF-?1 and PDGF in the samples of the 3 groups were measured by ELISA. The expression of CD62p in 2 apheresis experimental groups was measured by flow cytometry. The differences between the two groups were compared. BACKGROUND: Cytokine abnormality, nerve function abnormality and hormone levels may contribute to osteoporosis occurrence following spinal cord injury (SCI), many papers are about cytokine and hormone, but fewer is related to abnormal nerve function on bone accommodation.OBJECTIVE: To innovatively apply blood biochemistry and immunohistochemistry on the observation of change of calcitonin gene-related peptide distributing in trabecular bone of SCI rats, and to analyze its significance in the osteoporosis. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Randomized control animal trials were performed from September 2008 to December 2008 at the laboratory of Orthopedic Institute in the Fourth Military Medical University of Chinese PLA,MATERIALS: Forty-eight Sprague Dawley rats aged 3 months, weighing (210:1:16) g, were divided into SCI group and control group equally. METHODS: Rats in the SCI group underwent spinal cord transection at the tenth thoracic vertebrae. Control rats underwent laminectomy without any spinal cord lesion. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Each 8 rats were sacrificed at 1, 3, 6 weeks postoperatively. The serum concentrations of bone-specific alkaline phosphotase and serum cross-linked N-telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen were determined. The stain intensity of calcitonin gene-related peptide in trabacular bone was determined with use of quantitative immunohistochemistry technique and computer image analysis system.RESULTS: The cross-linked N-telopeptida of type Ⅰ collagen significantly increased in SCI group at defferent interval compared with control group (P <0.05 or 0.01 ), serum concentrations of bone-specific alkaline phosphotase was lower than control group,without significant difference (P > 0.05). Immunoreactivity of calcitonin gene-related peptide in trabecular bone was strongly positive in control group, while weakened in SCI group (P < 0.05 or 0.01).CONCLUSION: Reduced calcitonin gene-related peptide in trabecular bone of SCI rats may be related to the occurrence of osteoporosis following SCI.

Objective To investigate the relaxant effect of salanic acid A isopropyl ester(isopropyl 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-hydroxypropanoate)and its mechanism.Methods Isolated rat pulmonary artery was perfused and the tension of the vessel was measured.To observe the relaxant effect of salianic acid A isopropyl ester on the pulmonary artery precontracted by noradrenaline(NE)and the role of endothelial cell and vascular smooth muscle cell on vasodilation.Results Salianic acid A isopropyl ester relaxed the endothelium-intact artery precontracted by NE in a concentration-dependent manner,and the effect was depressed with denuded endothelium.Salianic acid A isopropyl ester right-shifted the concentration-response curve of KCl and suppressed the contractions induced by NE and CaCl2 in the Ca2+-free-K-H solution.The relaxant effect of salianic acid A isopropyl ester was inhibited by N?-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester hydrochloride(L-NAME),Indometacin,CsCl,Tetraethylammonium(TEA),Glibenclamide,and BaCl2,but not that by Propranolol,Metoprolol,and Salbutamol.Conclusion Salranic acid A isopropyl ester could significantly relax the pulmonary artery of rats,which may derive in part from endothelium.The relaxant effect of salianic acid A ispropyl ester may relate to NO pathway,prostacyclin(PGI2)pathway,calcium channel,and potassium channel.
