The traditional view of bacterial life cycle consists of four phases,namely,lag phase,exponential or logarithmic phase,stationary phase and death phase.Although the standard textbook description of the bacterial life cycle has been useful,might not always provide us the whole visage of bacteria growth process.Recently,it has demonstrated that bacterial life cycle is expanded to five phases.It is a significant different growth phase after death phase:long-term stationary phase,which may be more akin to the nature environment in which microorganisms exist.Microbial cells survive due to mutating,and forming growth advantage during stationary phase (GASP) phenotype in this phase.It is very important for further study the microorganisms in this phase.

RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) is a newly-developed method in transcriptome research, it can afford more accurate transcription information and be more quickly by using Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) technology. RNA-Seq has been widely used in various biological fields. Genuine traditional Chinese medicines (TCM), with good quality and therapeutic effect, were always praised highly and used by famous physicians. The geo-herbalism formation of TCM is based on the product of the gene expression at specific space and time. So it has been a research hotspot to analyze the mechanism of biosynthesis through RNA-Seq in the study on the secondary metabolism of medicinal plant. This article mainly illustrates the RNA-Seq and its advantages, it also discusses the potential application in genuine TCM, and it can provide useful information for other researchers.

Genuine medicinal materials with special characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is recognized as high quality medicine. Both ancient records and modern research considered that the origin is an important reason for the formation of genuine medicinal materials. However, blindly transplanting of genuine medicinal materials has led to the quality decline and counterfeit medicines appeared in production or sale progress, which may increase the risk of accidents in TCM. Frequent accidents emerged in Chinese herbal affects its export. What's more, it is a great threat to the medication safety in TCM clinical. There is an urgent need to implement traceability systems of TCM, which could provide convenient information record and traceability of TCM circulation. This paper reviews a variety of technical methods for genuine medicinal materials traceability, and proposed the establishment of genuine medicinal materials traceability system based on two-dimensional code and network database.

Objective Compare the three kind of criteria in evaluating the incidences of postop-erative cognitive dysfunction in non-cardiac surgery.Methods Four hundred and sixty one non-cardiac surgery patients were randomly enrolled in this study group and two hundred forty four non-surgery patients as control group.Patients??cognitive state was measured on preoperative and postoperative 1 and 3 d by mini-mental state examination(MMSE).POCD was assessed by patients??education level, one standard deviation and Z-score scale,respectively.Results On the first and third day after sur-gery,Z-score scale assess POCD result showed the highest relevance ratio and 95%CI as well as the lowest education level.The education scale showed the lowest incidence of POCD.Education level criteria was positive on postoperative 1 and 3 day,while one case on postoperative 1 day and four cases on postoperative 3 day were negative by Z-score scale.Conclusion The incidence of POCD in same pa-tients by three kind of criteria are different.The Z-score scale is recommended to evaluate the POCD in order to avoid misdiagnosis.

Objective To explore the effect of TNF-α in intracellular Ca~(2+)-overload associated myocardial injury. Methods Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups:control group,Ca~(2+)+-paradox group,and pentoxifylline treatment group. The intracellular Ca~(2+)-overload rat model was established by pre-filling the rats with Langendorff for 20 minutes,isolated rat hearts subjected to Ca~(2+)-depletion for 5 minutes and Ca~(2+)-repletion for 30 minites(Ca~(2+)-paradox). Changes in hemodynamics indexes were monitored continuously. TNF-α in cardiac tissues was tested by ELISA method,and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)in cardiac tissues was detected with Western blot. Results Dramatic depression in left ventricle contraction function was found in the Ca~(2+)-paradox hearts:significant decrease in left ventricular diastolic pressure(LVDP),markedly elevated left ventricular end diastolic pressure(LVEDP),decreased dP/dt ratio,increased TNF-α content,decreased cytosolic/homogenate NF-κB ratio. All these changes in Ca~(2+)-paradox group were significantly attenuated upon the treatment with 100 μmol/L pentoxifylline. Conclusions Activation of NF-κB and increased production of TNF-α may play important roles in cardiac injury associated with intracellular Ca~(2+)-overload.

Objective To explore the reliability of relevant electrocardiogram(ECG) indexes in evaluating isoprenaline(ISO)-induced rat acute ischemic myocardial injury and provide reference for future scientific applications of these models. Methods Seventy male Wistar rats were randomly equally assigned to ten groups according to their body weight: 5,10,20,40,80,160,320,640, 1280 and 2560 μg/kg dose groups. All rats were tail intravenously given corresponding doses of saline diluted isoprenaline according to their body weight. Standard limb Ⅰ , Ⅱ, Ⅲ-lead ECG of all rats were recorded before, immediately after and 1,24,and 72 hour after injection, respectively.Changes of heart rate, T-wave amplitude of Ⅱ -lead and Q-T interval were measured. Results Significant differences were found in heart rates, T-wave amplitudes and Q-T intervals at different time points(F = 15.03,11.28,13.64, all P ＜ 0.01 ), while differences among the ten ISO-dose groups were statistically insignificant (F= 1.45, 1.17,1.09, all P ＞ 0.05). No interaction between observation time and ISO dose was observed on heart rates, T-wave amplitudes and Q-T intervals(F= 0.79,0.82,0.59, all P ＞ 0.05). Immediately after injection of ISO, the heart rates were significantly increased compared with that of pre-injection in all groups(all P ＜ 0.05), of which 320 and 640μg/kg dose groups increased most significantly [(550 ± 47), (521 ± 43)times/min]. T-waves decreased significantly compared with that of pre-injection (all P ＜ 0.01 ), and 20 μg/kg dose and above groups decreased particularly evident, and partly inverted. Q-T intervals of rats in each group were significantly shorter than that of pre-injection(all P ＜ 0.01 ), and 320, 640, 1280 μg/kg groups shortened more pronounced[(0.070 ± 0.006),(0.072 ± 0.005), (0.068 ± 0.005)ms]. One hour after injection, the heart rate of rats in each group decreased,except 320 and 640 μg/kg dose groups[(518 ± 43), (487 ± 36)times/min], which were still higher than that of pre-treatment[(450 ± 40), (448 ± 51 )times/min, all P ＜ 0.05], the rest groups no longer had significant differences (all P ＞ 0.05). ECG T-wave in each group was significantly recovered compared with that of instantly medication (all P＜0.05), and 40 μg/kg dose and above groups recovered more than a big margin, but there were still differences compared with that of pre-treatment (P ＜0.05), while T-waves of 40 μg/kg dose and below groups had returned to the level of pre-treatment. Q-T interval in each group had varying degrees of recovery, except 1280 and 2560 μg/kg dose groups[(0.080 ± 0.004), (0.076 ± 0.011 )ms]which were still less than that of pre-treatment[(0.086 ± 0.007),(0.085 ± 0.006)ms, all P ＜ 0.05], other groups had no significant difference compared with that of pre-treatment (all P ＞ 0.05). Twenty-four hours after injection of ISO, the heart rates of 1280 and 2560 μg/kg dose groups [(389 ± 31 ), (398 ± 23)times/min]decreased significantly compared with that of pre-treatment[(427 ± 43), (438 ±26)times/min, all P ＜ 0.05], while other groups had returned to the level of pre-treatment. Seventy-two hours after injection of ISO, the heart rates, T-wave amplitudes and Q-T intervals of all doses groups had returned to the level of pre-treatment (all P ＞ 0.05). Conclusions There has no significant ST segment in the electrocardiogram of rat.Isoprenaline has an exact effect on shortening Q-T interval. T-wave amplitude and Q-T interval can be used as reliable indexes of ECG for assessment of this animal model.

Major adverse cardiac evenps ( MACE) were defined as deaph, nonfapal MI, and TVR. Results Fifpt-pwo papienps (36. 6% ) in phe FFR group had FFR less phan 0. 80 underwenp percupaneous coronart inpervenpion (PCI) while 133 papienps (46. 8% ) in phe CAG group received PCI (P =0. 037). Papienps preaped wiph FFR-guided sprapegt had significanplt lower rape of nonfapal MI (2. 2% vs. 4. 5% , P =0. 040) and TVR (5. 9% vs. 11. 7% , P = 0. 046). No spapispical difference was observed in morpalipt (0. 7% vs. 1. 1% , P = 0. 682) and MACE (8. 8% vs. 14. 4% , P = 0. 085). Topal financial cosp was less in phe FFR group (P = 0. 033). Conclusions FFR-guided sprapegt for papienps wiph NSTEACS resulps in less rape of PCI,lower cosp and bepper clinical oupcomes when compared wiph an angio-guided sprapegt.

Objective To compare the accuracy and clinical effect between X-ray stereotactic vacuum-assisted biopsy (SVAB) and metal wire guided lumpectony.Methods From January 2010 to June 2014,681 cases of breast micro-calcification biopsy were performed.Among them,78 cases were performed with SVAB and 603 eases were performed with the method of stereotaetic metal wire guided lumpectomy.All cases were non-palpable breast lesions (NPBLs) and breast imaging-reporting and data system (BI-RADS) assessment categories 4.The diagnostic accuracy and clinical effect were compared.Results The sensitivity of both methods was 100 ％ with no misdiagnosis.The underestimation rate of SVAB was 12.5 ％.Compared with the method of metal wire guided lumpectomy,SVAB had many advantages,such as easy to use,quickly performed,low rate of local deformation and lower rate of operative complications.77.5 ％ patients benefited from SVAB by avoiding open surgery of benign disease.Conclusions SVAB is an accurate,safe and convenient method of biopsy.It can be recommended as the preferred method of micro-calcification (BI-RADS 4).Additional operation should be performed on patients with the pathological diagnosis of middle and high grade of dysplasia and any kind of carcinoma.

Objective:To explore the relationship of negative life events,parent-child relationship,teacher-child relationship with the altruistic prosocial behaviors in migrant and unattended primary school children. Methods:Totally 1198 migrant children and 1631 unattended children were recruited. The dimension ofaltruistic prosocial behaviorof Child and Adolescent Prosocial Behavior Questionnaire (CAPBQ-A)was used to evaluate altruistic prosocial behaviors,Life Event Questionnaire (LEQ)was used to evaluate negative life events,parent trust and support dimensionof Social Psychological Relationship Questionnaire(SPRQ-P)to evaluate par-ent-child relationship, and teacher trust and support dimension (SPRQ-T ) to evaluate teacher-child relationship. Results:The CAPBQ-A scores were higher in migrant children than in the unattended children (P<0. 001). Being migrant or unattended children (β=-0. 07),LEQ score (β=-0. 04),SPRQ-P score (β=0. 13) and SPRQ-T score (β=0. 31 )predicted the CAPBQ-A score significantly. The SPRQ-P score had significantly stronger predictive effect on the migrant children compared to the unattended children (β=-0. 06 ). Yet the SPRQ-T score predicted the unattended children stronger (β=0. 06 ,Ps<0. 0 1 ). Conclusion:The unattended children's al-truistic prosocial behaviors are much worse than the migrant children. Personal relationships seem to play a more important role than negative life events in shaping children's altruistic prosocial behaviors. Moreover,the parent-child relationship seems to be more important to the migrant children,whereas the teacher-child relationship is more important to the unattended children.

Fifty-eight samples belonging to 7 species of Arisaematis Rhizoma and its adulterants were collected. The ITS2 locus was employed as a DNA barcode and amplified, sequenced and assembled for all of the collected samples. Then, ITS2 sequences have been annotated using HMM-based method. The intra- and inter-specific variations were calculated and NJ tree was constructed using MEGA 6.0 software. The results showed that inter-specific K2P distances were significantly larger than intra-specific distances for all of the three origin species of Arisaematis Rhizoma. Furthermore, three origin species, Arisaema amurense, A. erubescens and A. heterophyllum, can be respectively formed to be a single branch with high bootstrap values. It is concluded that ITS2 can be used to correctly identify Arisaematis Rhizoma from its adulterants and the application of ITS2 in the identification of traditional Chinese medicine has an important prospective.
