Objective To study relationship between Ki67 ,fragile histindine tried (FHIT) and adrenocortical tumors. Methods Ki67 and FHIT was detected by immunohistochemical staining in edrenecortical carcinoma(n=14) ,edrenocortical adenoma(n = 61) and normal adrenocortical tissue adjacent to tumor(n = 10). Results Ki67 was not expressed in normal adrenecortical tissue but highest expressed in adrenocortical carcinoma as well as in adrenocortical adenoma,and however,the expression of FHIT was expressed in a different way to Ki67. Negative correlation was observed between Ki67 and FHIT (r = -0.721 ,P <0.005). Conclusion The correlation of Ki67, FHIT with adrenocortical tumor, suggest that the detection of both Ki67 and FHIT can provide objective and simple diagnosis method to identify adrencortical adenomas from adrencortical carcinomas.

CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy is effective in refractory/relapsed (R/R) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL).This review focuses on achievements,current obstacles,and future directions in CAR-T research.A high complete remission rate of 68 ％ to 93％ could be achieved after and-CD19 CAR-T treatment for B-ALL Cytokine release syndrome and CAR-T-related neurotoxicity could be managed.In view of difficulties collecting autologous lymphocytes,universal CAR-T is a direction to explore.Regarding the high relapse rate after anti-CD19 CAR-T therapy,the main solutions have been developing new targets including CD22 CAR-T,or CD19/CD22 dual CAR-T.Additionally,some studies showed that bridging into transplant postCAR-T could improve leukemia-free survival.Some patients who did not respond to CAR-T therapy were found to have an abnormal conformation of the CD 19 exon or trogocytosis.Anti-CD19 CAR-T therapy for R/R B-ALL is effective.From individual to universal CAR-T,from one target to multi-targets,CAR-T-cell has a chance to be off the shelf in the future.

ObjectiveTo evaluate CT characteristics of fungal ball in paranasal sinus caused by different fungi and to enhance differential diagnosis.MethodsCT results and clinical data of 74 patients with fungal ball arising from the paranasal sinuses proved by histopathology from 2007 to 2009 were analyzed retrospectively.The CT characteristics of fungal ball in paranasal sinus caused by different fungi were compared using x2 test with P ＜ 0.05 considered statistically significant.Results Among 74 mycotic pathogenic agents,aspergillus was found in 58 cases (including 36 cases with aspergilhs flavus,15 cases with aspergillus fumigatus and 7 with aspergillus versicolor),the others including 5 cases with penicillium,6 cases with schizophyllum commune,and 5 cases with scedosporium apiospermum.There were significant differences in the number of sinus involved ( single sinus involvement was seen in 29 cases caused by aspergillus group and 2 cases caused by non-aspergillus-group,respectively,with x2 =7.245,P =0.007 ),the incidence of fungus ball in ethmoid sinus [ 39.7％ ( 23/58 ) of cases caused by aspergillus group and 81.3 ％ ( 13/16 ) of cases caused by non-aspergillus-group,respectively,with x2 =8.685,P =0.003 ] and calcification (40 of 58 cases caused by aspergillus group and 5 of 16 cases caused by non-aspergillus-group,respectively,with x2 =7.485,P =0.006 ),the location of calcification ( 26 of 40 cases with central calcification and 14 of 40 cases with peripheral calcification in cases caused by aspergillus group,while all of 5 cases caused by non-aspergillus-group with peripheral calcification,x2 =7.697,P =0.006).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of bilateral lesions ( x2 =1.002,P =0.317 ),maxillary sinus involvement ( x2 =0.020,P =0.888 ),sphenoidal sinus involvement ( x2 =0.704,P =0.401 ),frontal sinus involvement ( x2 =0.126,P =0.723 ),bony sclerosis ( x2 =2.024,P =0.155 ),lamellar calcification (x2 =2.045,P =0.153 ),complication of nasal polyps( x2 =0.018,P =0.893) and submucosal cyst( x2 =0.779,P =0.378 ).ConclusionsThe common CT characteristics of fungal ball in paranasal sinus are unilateral sinus involvement with inhomogeneous high-density soft tissue and lamellar calcification.The CT findings of fungal ball caused by non-aspergillus-group are ethmoid sinus involvement and calcification located on the periphery instead of the center of fungal ball.

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of the endocrine gland-derived vascular endothelial growth factor (EG-VEGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) in adrenocortical lesions of primary aldosteronism. Methods The expressions of EG-VEGF, and VEGF were detected by immunohistochemistry and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR in samples of 18 cases of adrenocortical adenoma, 6 adrenocortical hyperplasia, and 8 normal adrenal cortex. The correlation between the expressions of EG-VEGF, VEGF, and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed. Results The expression of EG-VEGF or VEGF in adrenocortical adenomas was higher than that in adrenocortical hyperplasia or normal adrenal cortex ( all P＜0. 05 ), and the expression of EG-VEGF or VEGF between adrenocortical hyperplasia samples and normal adrenal cortex samples was indistinctive. There was no statistically significant correlation between EG-VEGF or VEGF expression and sex, age, blood pressure, serum potassium, plasma renin activity, except in case of serum aldosterone( P＜0.05 ). A positive correlation between EG-VEGF and VEGF ( P＜0. 01 ) was found. Conclusions EG-VEGF and VEGF may play a significant role in the formation and development of adrenocortical tumors in primary aldosteronism.

Objective To observe the difference of caveolin-3(CAV3) gene polymorphism between normal people and diabetic patients in Chinese Han population. Methods Exon gene polymorphism in 50 normal people and 50 T2DM patients were detected by PCR-SSCP. Results The cumulative incidence rate of electrophoretic variation in T2DM patients was 48%, while cumulative incidence rate of normal people was 7%(P<0.001). It was proved that in the variant bands, there were base variant. Conclusions The variant base number of CAV3 gene in human T2DM samples are significantly more than the normal which can be preliminary detected by PCR-SSCP. It indicates that CAV3 gene polymorphism may be one of the genetic backgrounds for the occurence of Chinese T2DM.

Now organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) bioremediation mainly means microbial bioremediation. However, phytoremediation has an advantage over microbial bioremediation because phytoremediation is safer and costs less than microbial bioremediation. Nevertheless, phytoremediation has limitations yet such as plants need better growth conditions and the efficiency of phytoremediation is lower. All these have confined the application of phytoremediation. Progresses of microbial bioremediation and phytoremediation of OPs were reviewed and OPs degrading enzymes and their organism sources, which are known by now, were summarized. Moreover, there are five important ways to enhance the efficiency of phytoremediation of OPs. They are culling plants, studying the action between soil and OPs, studying the genes that can resist or get rid of OPs, setting up the combined system of microbial bioremediation and phytoremediation and using degrading enzymes secreted selectively by roots.

Objective To understand the prevalence,drug resistance and clinical features of children with acute lower respiratory tract infection(ALRI) caused by escherichia coli.Methods From Oct. 2005 to Oct. 2006,659 patients with ALRI who were admitted to hospital were chosen and their nasopharyngeal secretions were obtained and cultured.K-B disc diffusion for antibiotic susceptibility were performed for these clinical isolates.Results Among 659 patients,118 cases were isolated escherichia coli,the rate was 17.99% which had 90 boys and 28 girls.Eighty-seven of 118 E.coli strains were with extended-spectrum ?-lactamase(ESBLs),the rate was 73.73%.All of strains were sensitive to imipenem.For ESBLs-producing strains,the ratio of resistance tocefotaxime,ceftriaxone,cefuroxime,ampicillin,piperacillin were 78.81%,73.73%,73.73%,76.27%,78.81%,respectively.Conclusions The positive rate of ESBLs producing E coli in Kunming area is high and drug resistance is severe gradually.Imipenem can be the first selection for treatment on these infections.
