OBJECTIVETo observe the effect and safety of Shuxuetong Injection (SXT) in treating patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus accompanying lower extremity atherosclerotic obliterans.
METHODSThe selected patients were assigned by randomized digital table to the treated group (180 cases treated with SXT) and the control group (80 cases treated with alprostadil). The clinical efficacy was assessed after 4 weeks of treatment, and the inner diameters and blood flow of the superficial femoral artery, the posterior tibial artery and the foot dorsal artery were measured and compared before and after treatment using Doppler's ultrasonography.
RESULTSThe total effective rate in the treated group was 94.4% (170/180), better than that in the control group, 85.0% (68/80, P < 0.01). Ultrasonic examination showed that the inner diameter and the blood flow of all the arteries measured in the treated groups increased after treatment (P < 0.01), with the increase superior to those in the control group (P < 0.05). No adverse reaction was found during the treatment.
CONCLUSIONSXT has the effect of activating blood circulation, dissolving stasis and dredging collaterals, it could reduce or eliminate the formation of thrombi, being effective and safe when applied in clinical practice for the treatment of lower extremity diabetic atherosclerotic obliterans.

OBJECTIVEThe multi-center, randomized, double-blind, double-simulated and positive-control trial was used to verify the contribution degree of Bushen Huoxue for the treatment of ovulatory dysfunction caused infertility, which provided scientific basis for clinical treatment.
METHODAccording to diagnostic, inclusion and exclusion criteria, we observed 349 patients which were divided into the treated group (n = 177, treated with Bushen Huoxue ricipe) and control group (n = 172, treated with clomiphene). Ovulation rate, pregnancy rate, clinical effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine, endometrium and diameter of dominant follicle were observed. Serum reproductive endocrine hormones were assayed before and after treatment.
RESULTThe treated group showed ovulation rate of 69.34%, with pregnancy rate of 41.35%. The clinical effective rate of treated group and control group were 91.73% and 80.77%. There was remarkable difference in endometrium (P < 0.05) and remarkbale difference in sex hormones PRL and E₂in treated group at prior-treatment and post-treatment (P < 0.05). No adverse effects were found in the experiment. Security indicators did not show abnormal change.
CONCLUSIONThe comparison between the two groups showed that the treated group was significantly different from control group in the pregnancy rate (P < 0.05), without notable difference in ovulation rate. There was significant difference in clinical effective rate between the treated group and control group. Both the two groups could contribute to the mature development and discharge of the follicles. The growth of endometrium and endometrial receptivity in the treated group were higher than control group. The treated group has regulatory effect on PRL and E₂.

Objective To explore the relationship between the respiratory disturbance index (RDI) detected by cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC) and all parameters of polysomnography (PSG), and to analyze the correlation of the two different analytical techniques for the interpretation of sleep breathing events. Methods In this case-control study, the patients′ CPC and PSG were simultaneously recorded at the Sleep Clinic at Changzheng Hospital from Janunary 2016 to December 2016.Effective recordings were obtained from 292 patients (male/female: 173/119).According to PSG, these patients were divided into two groups: obstructive sleep apnea hyponea syndrome (OSAHS) group (n=173, aged (50.1±13.3) years) and non-OSAHS group (n=119, aged (50.5±11.7) years). All the PSG parameters and the RDI detected by CPC were compared between the two groups.Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between the CPC-RDI and polysomnography parameters, and Bland-Altman chart was used to test the correlation of the two methods. The receiver operator characteristic curve was used to research the value of CPC-RDI in diagnosis of OSAHS.Results The OSAHS group showed higher levels of total sleep time (TST, (445.94±82.64) min), apnea times ((108.16±35.70)/h), hypopnea rate ((55.62±17.44)/h), apnea hyponea index (AHI, (22.78±20.73)/h), Epworth Sleeping Scale (ESS) scores ((11.21±5.30) scores), CPC-RDI ((32.98±22.19)/h) compared with the non-OSAHS group ((417.21±96.10) min,t=2.730;(7.89±5.41)/h,t=30.384;(11.05±2.23)/h, t=27.709;(5.51±3.11)/h,t=9.014;(7.61±2.29)scores,t=6.973;(11.16±8.63)/h,t=10.205, all P<0.01), and a significant decrease in N1 latency ((14.79±9.29) min vs (18.18±8.98)min, t=-3.106), N3% ((6.53±4.95)% vs(8.83±7.29)%,t=-3.212) and the lowest oxygen saturation (SaO2;(77.91±12.21)% vs(92.72±5.17)%, t=-12.479, all P<0.05 respectively).Pearson correlation analysis indicated that RDI was positively correlated with TST, N2 sleeping time, N3 sleeping time, AHI, microarousals index, leg movements index, and ESS scores (P<0.01 respectively).Remarkably, the correlation between CPC-RDI and PSG-AHI was excellent (r=0.801, P<0.01), and CPC-RDI was negatively correlated with lowest SaO2 (r=-0.765, P<0.01).Bland-Altman showed that the points in the limits of agreement accounted for more than 95% of all points. If CPC-RDI is higher than 18.95, the subjects were more likely with OSAHS.The sensitivity was 62.9% and the specificity was 88.7%.In addition, the enhanced low-frequency coupling parameters in the CPC analysis technique can clearly analyze the central respiratory rhythm disturbance. Conclusions CPC technology is an effective assessment technology to diagnose sleep-disordered breathing, and correlates well with AHI detected by traditional PSG.It shows the advantage of screening for central sleep apnea.

In this paper, three kinds of chemotactic parameters (concentration, temperature and pH) were determined by plate assay and spore germination method to research the chemotactic response of Botrytis cinerea and Alternaria panax, and their spores on total ginsenosides. The results showed that Botrytis cinerea had strong chemotactic response at the mid-concentration of total ginsenosides (cultivation temperature was 20 degrees C and pH value was 6), and the data of chemotactic migration index (CMI) was 1.293 0, chemotactic growth rate (CGR) was 0.476 0, spore germination rate (SGR) was 53%, and dry weight of mycelial (DWM) was 0.452 6 g x L(-1); however, Alternaria panax had strong chemotactic response at the low-concentration of total ginsenosides (cultivation temperature was 25 degrees C and pH value was 6), and the data of chemotactic migration index (CMI) was 1.235 4, chemotactic growth rate (CGR) was 0.537 0, spore germination rate (SGR) was 67%, and dry weight of mycelial (DWM) was 0.494 8 g x L(-1). The results indicated that the low and middle concentration (2, 20 mg x L(-1)) of total ginsenosides had significant promoting effect on chemotactic response of these two pathogens, and the spore germination, mycelial growth rate, dry weight of mycelial of them were also significantly improved by this chemotactic response, whereas it decreased as the increase of total ginsenosides concentration.
