Objective To retrospectively compare CT and MR features of hepatocellular adenoma with pathologic findings.Methods Twelve patients with histopathologically proved hepatocellular adenoma were classified on the basis of pathologic and genotype phenotype findings into four groups:steatotic type,cytological abnormality type,telangiectatic adenoma with inflammatory infiltrates type and atypical adenoma type.The CT and MR features of each type were reviewed retrospectively compared with the pathological results.Results In this retrospective study,12 patients were examined with CT (8 patients) and MR (8 patients).Among 12 patients,4 patients showed a steatotic type.One patient showed hypo-density on the non-enhanced CT and 3 patients demonstrated hypo-density on all phases of the post-contrast scans.Two lesions showed iso-intense signal on the in-phase T1 WI with signal dropout on the out-of-phase T1WI,and hypo-intense signal on the T2 WI with fat suppression sequences.One lesion demonstrated moderate hypointense signal on all phases of the post-contrast MRI scans.Two patients with the telangiectatic adenoma irflammatory infiltrates type were found.One patient showed hypo-density on the non-enhanced CT scans and hyper-density on all phases of the post-contrast CT scans.One patient demonstrated iso-intense signal and the other hypo-intense signal on the T1 WI,and both displayed moderate hyper-intense signal on the T2WI with fat suppression sequences and hyper-intense signal with gradual enhancement on all phases of post-contrast MR scans.There were 3 patients with a cytological abnormality type.One patient appeared hypodensity and 1 patient showed uniform iso-density on non-enhanced CT scans.All patients who had undergone contrast-enhanced CT scans were found to have hyper-density on the hepatic arterial-dominant phase and became slightly lower on the portal venous phase.On the delay phase the density reduced further.One mass showed iso-intense signal on the T1WI and hyper-intense signal on the T2WI with fat suppression sequences.There were 3 patients with an atypical adenoma type.One patient appeared uniform hypo-density on the nonenhanced CT and hyper-density on the hepatic arterial-dominant phase and became iso-dense on the portal venous phase.On the delay phase,it was slightly hyper-dense.Two out of the three lesions showed isointense and one hypo-intense signal on the in-phase T1 WI,and hypo-intense,hyper-intense,and iso-intense signal on the T2WI with fat suppression sequences,respectively.Two patients examined on all phases of post-contrast MRI scans.The result was similar to the CT findings.Conclusion The imaging features of hepatocellular adenoma are closely associated with pathological characteristics.

Holistic education is an important philosophy of medical education.Medical graduate students can show their skills of medical specialties,improve their abilities of communication and cooperation,and promote their sense of social responsibility through social practice.Through conducting questionnaire among medical graduate students of Peking University Third Hospital who major in internal medicine,we have got to know the effect of social practice on holistic education philosophy.Meanwhile,social practice is a crucial approach to implementing holistic education.

Objective To discuss the morbidity,etiology,treatment of postpartum hemorrhage.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed in 352 postpartum hemorrhage from October 1995 to October 2004.Results The morbidity of postpartum hemorrhage was 1.668%,the morbidity from 1998 to 2004(1.494%) was significantly lower than that from 1995 to 1997(2.078%)(P0.05).The chief reason of postpartum hemorrhage was uterine inertia.Conclusion Improvement the technic of caesarean section and prevention uterine inertia can reduce the morbidity of postpartum hemorrhage.

Objective To discovery the difference about TCM constitution between urban and rural area from the survey results performed in 2 communities of Beijing. Methods 9 standard survey scales of Chinese Medicine Constitution and four diagnostic methods of TCM were performed to identify body constitution of 161 people whose age are almost 64 years; The distribution of total constitution and the constitution distribution of same sex were further analyzed. Results The distribution of 9 TCM body constitution were different between town and country, the gentleness type distribution in country was lower than city (24.68%, 51.19%) ; Qi-depression type distribution was significant higher in country than city (44.16%,5.95%) . Conclusion Most of people in the country were yang-deficiency type and qi-depression type body constitution, the distribution of which affected by gender and age, etc.

The paper analyzes and discusses the necessity of integrating computational thinking into basic computer teaching by combining characteristics of medical undergraduates and the current situation and tendency of basic computer teaching,and states the thought and method of solving problems with the computational thinking by taking mind mapping and program design thought as the teaching cases,in order to cultivate the consciousness and ability of students in constructing problem solutions by taking advantage of the computational thinking.

Objective To observe the effect of short wave diathermy on the functioning of dendritic cells ( DCs) derived from the spleens of hepatitis B virus ( HBV) transgenic mice. Methods HBV transgenic mice were treated with short wave diathermy for 10 days. Dendritic cells were then separated from their spleens and incubated with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor ( GM-CSF) and interleukin-4 ( IL-4 ). The phenotypes of the DCs were assayed by flow cytometry ( FCM) ,IL-12 released by the DCs and IL-10 and IFN-? produced by the T cells in a mixed lymphocyte reaction( MLR) were measured using ELISA. Background Researches demonstrated that corneal dystrophy is associated with the mutation of transforming growth factor beta induced gene(TGFBI)located at chromosome 5q31 domine.Recent study showed that the gene mutation location is in R124H of TGFBI gene. Objective This study was to identify the mutation characteristics of TGFBI gene in a Chinese family with Avellino corneal dystrophy. Methods This Chinese family with Avellino corneal dystrophy were determined and surveyed in Peking University Third Hospital.Periphery blood from 8 patients with Avellino corneal dystrophy and 2 unaffected subjects were collected from a Chinese family with corneal dystrophy for the extraction of DNA.Exons 4,11,12 of the TGFBI gene were amplified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR),and the amplified products were sequenced directly and compared the gene sequence with that of TGFBI in GenBank.Written informed consent was obtained from each Subject prior to any medieal process. Results This family included 27 members of consecutive 4 generation.The hereditary pattern W88 in accordance with the autosomal dominant inheritance.Directly sequencing of 8 affected members revealed a G tO A transition at codon 124 (CGC to CAC),producing R124H mutation of TGFBI gene.Two synonymous single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)of TGFBI gene occurred in the family.including a C to T transition at eodon 472(CTC to CTT)in 8 members,and a T to C transition at codon 540(TTT>TTC)in 9 members,which wag unrelated with disease. Conclusion R124H mutation of the TGFBI gene is found in this Chinese family with Avellino corneal dystrophy.

ObjectiveTo evaluate prognosis and its clinical factors in patients with primary pontine hemorrhage. Methods Patients with primary pontine hemorrhage who were hospitalized in the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College within 24 hours after stroke onset between April 2007 and April 2009 were registered conscutively. The patients were followed up for one year. Kaplan-Meier methods were used to analyze survival rate. Cox proportional hazards model was used to study risk factors for 1-year mortality. ResultsA total of 41 patients with primary pontine hemorrhage were studied. Their mean age was (63.5 ± 10. 1 ) years.The overall 1-year mortality rate was 61.0％, the median survival time was (80. 0 ±54.4) days (95％ CI 0-186. 64). After one-year follow-up, the mortality rate in patients with primary dorsal pontine hemorrhage( 18.2％ ) was significantly lower than that in patients with primary ventral pontine hemorrhage(72. 7％ ; x2 = 8. 800, P = 0. 003 ). Patients with massive primary pontine hemorrhage had significantly higher mortality rate than patients with dorsal primary pontine hemorrhage( x2 = 8. 927, P =0. 003). The average hematoma volume of the survivor group and mortality group was (3. 043 ± 1. 718) ml and (5. 984 ± 2. 707) ml, respectively, showing statistical significance (t = 3. 661, P = 0. 001 ). Analysis with Cox proportional hazards model showed that the risk factors associated with mortality were hematoma location ( RR = 2. 428, 95 ％ CI 1. 055-5. 587 ), hematoma volume ( RR = 1. 283, 95 ％ CI 1. 044-1. 577 ),GCS score on admission(RR =3. 389, 95％ CI 1. 177-9. 756). Patients with pontine hematomas in dorsal had a significantly better outcome than in other locations.Conclusions The survival and prognosis in primary dorsal pontine hemorrhage are better than with hemorrhaging in other parts of pontine. A significant correlation was observed between poor prognosis and hematoma volume, hematoma location and GCS score on admission.
