OBJECTIVETo investigate the histocompatibility of acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix implanted in the rabbit eyelid reconstruction in situ and to compare the histological change of acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix and sclera replacing tarsus.
METHODSThirty-six New Zealand rabbits were divided into two groups randomly. Establishment of the rabbits unilateral eyelid defect model, the eyelid reconstruction in situ were performed with either acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix or allogeneic sclera at random. The rabbits were clinically examined for inflammation and implant exposure and sacrificed 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks after implantation. The eyelid with implant (Xeno-ADM or allogeneic sclera) were dislodged and the specimens were assessed histopathologically and ultrastructurally with light microscopies respectively for evaluation of change of juncture between implant and autoallergic tarsal plates including inflammation, vascularization and confluence. The 4, 8 and 12 weeks specimens were assessed with transmission electron microscope micro structural changes of the above organizations.
RESULTSLight microscopy and electron microscopy showed no statistical difference between two groups. But histological examination showed that eyelid implanted with acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix had less immunological and inflammatory reaction than sclera-implanted group. Acellular xenogeneic dermal matrix could induce neovascular and collagenous fibers into implanted tissue.
CONCLUSIONAcellular xenogeneic dermal matrix is histocompatible to New Zealand rabbit, it can be used to support the eyelid as a substitution for tarsus.

Citri Fructus identification by fingerprint and chemometrics was investigated in this paper. Twenty-three Citri Fructus samples were collected which referred to two varieties as Cirtus wilsonii and C. medica recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia. HPLC chromatograms were obtained. The components were partly identified by reference substances, and then common pattern was established for chemometrics analysis. Similarity analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) , partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) and hierarchical cluster analysis heatmap were applied. The results indicated that C. wilsonii and C. medica could be ideally classified with common pattern contained twenty-five characteristic peaks. Besides, preliminary pattern recognition had verified the chemometrics analytical results. Absolute peak area (APA) was used for relevant quantitative analysis, results showed the differences between two varieties and it was valuable for further quality control as selection of characteristic components.

Objective To investigate the effect of different volume of fresh gas on postoperative analepsia period of general anesthesia with sevoflurane in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods 181 ASAⅠ-Ⅱpatients aged 20 - 70 undergoing elective abdominal surgery were divided into group A (112 patients) and group B (69 patients). Both groups received sevoflurane general anesthesia during surgery. At the end of surgery , group A received fresh gas for no more than 2L/min , and group B received the gas for more than 2L/min. The recovery time of spontaneous breathing, eye-opening time (from the end of surger to eye opening), and time of endotracheal extubation (from the end of surgery to endotracheal extubation ) were recorded. Results There were no significant differences in the recovery time of spontaneous breathing ,eye-opening time and time of endotracheal extubation between group A and group B (P > 0.05); Gender and time of intraoperative continuous uses of sevoflurane had effects on the recovery time of spontaneous breathing , which showed statistical significances (P < 0.05). Conclusions Uses of fresh gas for no more than 2L/min or more than 2L/min after surgery have no marked effects on the recovery time. However , gender and time of intraoperative continuous uses of sevoflurane may have effects on the recovery time of spontaneous breathing.

OBJECTIVE: To evalute the effects of TAK-147, a novel acetylcholinesterase inhibitor on rat spatial memory deficit using the Morris water maze. METHODS: Morris water maze was used to measure spatial memory in rats, and open field test was used to analysis locomotor activity. RESULTS: Scopolamine (0.4mg/kg,IP) significantly increased the latency period in memory acquisition. Intraperitoneal TAK-147 injection ameliorated scopolamine-induced deficit in a dose-related manner. A significant effect was obtained at doses of 0.3 and 1.0 mg/kg. Both TAK-147 (0.3 and 1.0 mg/kg) and tacrine (3 and 5 mg/kg) significantly reversed scopolamine (1.5 mg/kg) increased latency in memory retrieval. However, TAK-147 had a more potent effect than tacrine. In the locomotor test, TAK-147 created no appreciable change, compared with scopolamine or saline. CONCLUSION: A novel acetycholinesterase inhibitor, TAK-147 ameliorates the scopolamine induced impaired spatial memory in rats.

BACKGROUND:At present, there are many methods to treat cartilage defects, but none radical y repairs the articular cartilage defects.
OBJECTIVE:To histological y verify the effect of naringin combined with tissue engineering cartilage on the repair of rabbit articular cartilage defects.
METHODS:Rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells fol owing in vitro proliferation were compounded onto acellular dermal matrix, which was then implanted into rabbit knee cartilage defects. Naringin was also given by lavage. Hematoxylin-eosin staining, Masson trichrome staining, toluidine blue dyeing, type II col agen staining and type X col agen staining were performed in the repaired tissue.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After 8 weeks post-surgery, the defects repaired with the naringin and stem cells composite were turned into milky-white and transparent smooth tissue. The defective tissue which was repaired, was very similar to normal cartilage tissue, with smooth surface. After the histology research, we found that the defect tissue was fil ed with new cartilage tissue. Results indicated that naringin combined with tissue engineering cartilage can promote the repair of articular cartilage defects in rabbits.
