1.Effect of Living in Village on Atopic Sensitization of School-age Children
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To explore whether living in rural areas may reduce the risk of atopic sensitization. Methods The standardized questionnaires were answered by the parents of 2 986 school children during 2004 to 2005. Radioallergosorbent technique-fluorescence enzyme immunoassay (RAST-FEIA) was used to determine the level of specific IgE in the serum of the children. The risk factors were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Compared with the subjects living in the towns from birth, the risk of atopic sensitization was lowest in the subjects living in the villages from birth (OR=0.32, 95%CI: 0.11-0.62) and it was moderate in the subjects who had relocated from village to town (OR=0.51, 95%CI: 0.28-0.92), there was a significant trend among them (P for trend

To standardize the harvest ways of Dendrobium officinale and improve the quality and yield of D. officinale, a field experiment was carried out to study the effect of two kinds of harvest ways, which were keeping some of the axial shoot and harvesting all of the shoot by the end of the year. Then, the agronomic traits and yield were measured and the contents of polysaccharides and extractum were determined. The results showed that the harvest ways significantly affected the growth of D. officinale. Keeping some of the axial shoot could significantly improved the number of sprout, stem length, internode number and the internodal length, which also triggered increase the weight of fresh stems, leaves and the total of them and dry stems in per unit area, but it could not promote the stem diameter and the polysaccharide content in stems. Keeping some of the axial shoot moderately was conducive to the improvement of the production of medicinal materials in the process of harvesting by promoting the germination and growth of new buds, and to ensure the polysaccharide content by regulating the illumination and the density of cultivation.

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2008;17(6):504-507
objective To assess relationship between microvascular changes of hemodynamics of the fingertip and evolution of hypertension in patients with essential hypertension(EH)by enhanced power Doppler imaging(E-Flow).Methods The right ring fingertip'S blood flow peak systolic velocity(PSV),end-diastolic velocity(EDV),resistance index(RI)of finger ventral arteriole and nail bed arteriole in thirty-nine patients with EH were separately observed and were made contrast with 35 age-matched healthy subjects by E-Flow imaging. Results Compared with traditional colour Doppler flow imaging and power Doppler imaging,E-Flow imaging was clearer to demonstrate the distribution and movement of the fingertip'S microvascular. It was shown that the PSV and EDV in the ring finger ventral arteriole and nail bed arteriole of EH were decreased(P<0.05),but the RI increased(P<0.05),along with the evolution of EH.Conclusions Fingertip'S microvascular changes of hemodynamics could be a criterion to detect obstruction alternations of essential hypertension.E-Flow imaging iS superior to traditional color Doppler flow imaging and power Doppler imaging in differentiating microvascular and could provide a new method in assessing microvacular changes of patients with EH for clinic.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(5):29-31
Objective To compare the effect of repairing large perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD) with a new continuous stitching and two classical methods. Methods From January 2005 to January 2008,321 cases with VSD were operated. All the cases were divided into 3 groups according to operational way, with discontinuous stitching in group A (70 cases), continuous stitching in group B(116 cases),new continuous stitching in group C (135 cases). All the patients were total corrected with hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass. Results Group C had the shortest cardiopulmonary bypass and aortic cross-clamp times [(48 ± 36) min and (26 ± 18) min]among the three groups (P < 0.05). Group C had not residual shunt and incidence rate was lowest among the three groups (P < 0.05). Temporary second degree auriculo-ventricular bolck (AVB) was found in the early stage and no third degree AVB among the three groups. Tricuspid regurgitation was higher in group A,but there was no significant difference between group B and group C. Follow-up was completed in a duration of 1-3 years and all the cases had a good health after discharged. Conclusions The new continuous stitching method has short eardiopulmonary bypass and aortic cross-clamp times. It has fewer residual shunt than other two classical methods and has no evidence of higher AVB occurrence.
