Objective To compare the effectiveness and safety of raltitrexed and fluorouracil(FU)/leucovorin (LV) combined with oxaliplatin for advanced colorectal cancer. Methods Fifty patients with advanced colorectal cancer diagnosed by histopathology or cytology were randomly divided into two groups with 25 cases each by envelope, but 1 case lost. Patients in experimental group were treated with raltitrexed (3 mg/m2, ≥ 15 min intravenously) combined with oxaliplatin (130 mg/m2 on day 1 ), patients in control group were treated with FU/LV combined with oxaliplatin:LV 100 mg/m2 infusion (over 2 h, from day 1 to day 3 ) followed by FU (400 mg/m2 infusion in 2 h and 600 mg/m2 continuous infusion from day 1 to day 3 ),combined with oxaliplatin ( 130 mg/m2 on day 1 ), 3 weeks were as one cycle. Patients received 6 or less cycles until disease progressed or toxicity could not be tolerated. Results Effective rate was 37.50%(9/24)and 33.33%(8/24) in experimental group and control group respectively (P＞ 0.05). Disease control rate in experimental group was 83.33% (20/24) while in control group was 70.83% ( 17/24 ) (P ＞ 0.05 ). The median time of progression-free survival (PFS) in experimental group and control group was 11.0 months and 9.0 months respectively (95%CI 8.643-11.357,P =0.015). Main adverse effects were anorexia, vomiting, neutropenia, thrombopenia, anemia, neurotoxicity, fatigue, aminotransferase abnormality, and so on. There was no statistic difference between two groups in side effects(P ＞ 0.05). Conclusions Raltitrexed combined with oxaliplatin is an effective regimen for the advanced colorectal cancer. Compared with traditional FU-based regimen, it is more convenient. Patients will have less venous exposure time and hospital days.Effective rate and mean survival time are superior or not inferior in raltitrexed treatment to that of FU-based regimen. Raltitrexed combined with oxaliplatin is worthy to be recommended in treating colorectal cancer.

Objective The radiotherapy is one of main treatments for patients with malignant tumor and leads to ovarian func-tion decreasing in young women .It is very important to protect ovarian function during the process of radiotherapy .The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of melatonin ( MT) agonist on radiotherapy-induced ovarian function damage in female rats . Methods Thirty SD rats were divided into five groups randomly , which received normal saline, 200 cGy radiotherapy+normal saline, 200 cGy radiotherapy+MT(25 mg/kg), 200 cGy radiotherapy+MT(50 mg/kg), and 200 cGy radiotherapy +MT(100 mg/kg), respectively.All rats were de-capitated two weeks after radiotherapy .Levels of serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and estradiol (E2) were measured by en-zyme-linked immune sorbent assay method;the number of the primordial follicles , the growth follicles and the mature follicle were ob-served;Caspase3 activity was assayed by spectrophotometry . Results In accordance with the normal control group , RT+MT (100 mg/kg) group, RT+MT (50 mg/kg) group,RT group , serum E2 levels decreased, respectively (6.68 ±0.48, 5.73 ±1.36, 4.26 ±0.44, 2.83 ±0.51)pmol/L;FSH levels increased, respectively (0.340 ±0.011, 0.431 ±0.053, 0.479 ±0.023, 0.604 ± 0.028)ng/mL ;the total number of follicles decreased ,respectively (21.67 ±1.97, 18.00 ±2.28, 15.50 ±1.05, 11.50 ±2.43);Caspase3 activity increased,respectively (0.14 ±0.03, 0.26 ±0.06, 0.36 ±0.05, 0.50 ±0.05).Except FSH had no significant difference between RT +MT(50 mg/kg)group and RT+MT(100 mg/kg) group(P>0.05), the rest indexes had significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05). Conclusion MT can diminish radiotherapy-induced ovarian damage in female rats, it may be related to the mechanism that MT inhibits the radiotherapy-induced activation of Caspase 3.

Objective To evaluate the effect of proper nutritional therapy guided by indirect caloimetry . Methods According to the digitaltable ,70 critically ill patients whose APACHE II >5 were randomly divided into oberserving ( nutritional therapy guided by indirect caloimetry ) and control groups ( nutritional therapy guided by harris-benedict formula),each group 35 cases.The results of nutrition support were analysed .Results TP,MAMC,ALB were higher than that before treatment in oberserving group (all P<0.05),the MAMC was also higher than that in control groups(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in Hb and TSF after treatment IN oberserving group (all P>0.05).Conclusion The nutritional therapy guided by indirect caloimetry by harris-benedict formula have the some nutritional effect in critically ill patients .

Objective To explore the therapic effect of the combination of endovascular embolization and clinical hormone in treatment of Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon (KMP),and analyze the advantages.Methods Six cases with KMP from May 2010 to June 2012 were retrospectively analyzed.All the patients underwent large dose hormone shock therapy after admission for 7-10 d.Subsequently,selective endovascular embolization was performed using Seldinger technique under general anesthesia Then,the hormone therapy was continued for 2 weeks after embolization.The platelet count and the effect were recorded.If the area of the tumor reduction is less than 50％,3-4 courses of local hardening treatment was conducted for the residual tumor.The local treatment used multipoint puncturing of the tumor and injection drugs under X-ray fluoroscopic monitoring until the tension of local vascular increased.Results On DSA,the lesions of all the 6 cases showed rich blood supply with a large number of hybrid distribution of tumor blood vessels.The lesions disappeared in 4 cases after 1-2 weeks combination therapy and no recurrence for 0.5-1.0 year follow-up.Two cases whose tumor reduced less than 50％ after combination therapy received local hardening treatment,and faded after 3-4 courses.The number of platelet for all patients kept normal and the spirit of the patients showed great improvement,the bleeding tendency and local soft tissue swelling was in remission.Subcutaneous blood stasis and petechiae disappeared.There were no serious adverse reaction and complications.Conclusion Combination therapy with endovascular embolization and clinical hormone for Kasabach-Merritt phenomenon has a good curative effect.

Objective To compare the difference between GUSS swallowing evaluation and traditional evaluation as a symbol of pulling out stomach tube.Methods 60 patients with cerebral hemorrhage combined with indwelling tube were divided into two groups,the GUSS group and the traditional group,according to the symbol of pulling out the gastric tube.Each group contained 30 cases.The GUSS score ≥ 15 points was used as the symbol of pulling out the gastric tube in the GUSS group,while being able to eat 200 ml liquid without any trouble in two days was used as the symbol in the traditional group.Then we compared the incidence of gastric tube reinsertion and aspiration pneumonitis between the two groups.Results No gastric tube reinsertion and aspiration pneumonitis occurred in the GUSS group,while 7 cases accepted gastric tube reinsertion and 3 cases diagnosed as aspiration pneumonitis in the traditional group.The incidence of gastric tube reinsertion and aspiration pneumonitis in the GUSS group were obviously lower than those in the traditional group.Conclusions GUSS evaluation score ≥ 15 points could be used as a symbol of pulling out gastric tube.

Objective:By analyzing the norm data results of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition (WAIS-Ⅳ) in China,to prove the validity of the procedure and methods during the norming development.Methods:The whole process of the revision of WAIS-Ⅳ,the development of computer-assisted system and norm sampling plan,were introduced in more detail,and the distribution of actual norm data of 1757 cases was analyzed.Results:For area distribution,compared with planned sampling number,the number from North and Northeast China was statistically significant different (x2 =78.02,P ＜0.01).For age stages distribution,most of cases conformed to the requirements of sampling,except that some cases including high-level educational cases aged 16-17 years and above 65 years,and low-level educational cases aged 30-34 years were less than the planned sampling number.For gender distribution,male subjects were more,but there was no statistically significant difference between male and female subjects (x2 =228,P =0.131).For educational degree distribution,the sampling conformed to the requirements of sampling plan (x2 =2.74,P =0.603).For occupation,resident years and registered permanent residence,and the sample was basically representative.Conclusion:The process of the revision of the Chinese version of WAIS-Ⅳ is appropriate,and actual norm sampling basically conforms to planned sample distribution,providing the sufficient representativeness and reliability for national norm data of WAIS-Ⅳ.

Huangqin Decoction is a classic recipe for treatment of diarrhea from Treatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease,and consists of Scutellaria baicalensis,Paeonia lactiflora,Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Ziziphus jujuba.Huangqin Decoction has been used for nearly 1800 years for the treatment of gastrointestinal ailments,including dysentery,diarrhea and so on.Treatment of gastrointestinal disease by traditional Chinese medicine is considered to be safer than western medicine.This paper presented a review ofpharmacodynamic material basis of Huangqin Decoction,its advances in treating ulcerative colitis and reduction of the gastrointestinal side effects arising from chemotherapy drugs according to related literature.It also reviewed the deficiencies in present research,outlined the future direction and provided reference for further study.
