Objective To investigate the nurses' mastery of the patients' condition and effect of incident prevention after the application of risk assessment management in elderly patients in psychiatric wards.Methods 56 inpatients spanning from January to December 2010 were enrolled as the observation group and 55inpatients spanning from January to December 2009 were enrolled as the control group.The control group received routine care,while the observation group received risk assessment management based on routine care,which mainly include:doctors' assessment of the patient' s condition changes,therapies,medication and side effects,as well as nurses' weekly assessment of risks of falls,food choking and pressure sores and taking pertinent nursing measures.Nurses' mastery of the patients' condition and effect of incident prevention before and after the application of risk assessment management was compared.Results Average score of nurses'mastery of patients' condition was (77.36 ± 1.26) points in the control group and ( 85.60 ± 3.07) points.The difference was statistically significant ( t =11.690,P ＜ 0.01 ).The control group had 45 cases of incidents and the observation group had 19 cases.There was significant difference between the two groups (x2 =13.87,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The risk assessment management is beneficial to the nurses' mastery of the patients'condition and incident prevention,thus boost the nursing quality.

Objective To explore the pain assessment methods of severe senile dementia patients and nursing measures of reducing the pain stress. Methods 40 severe senile dementia patients were randomly divided into assessment group and control group (20 patients per group). Two groups were evaluated by Chinese version of Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia Scale (C-PAINAD) with routine medical treatments-venipuncture, in addition, corresponding non-drug treatments was only given in assessment group Two groups were reevaluated by C-PAINAD 60 minutes later. Results All of the 40 patients had different degree pain during the routine medical treatments , there was no difference between the two groups ( P > 0. 05 ). The reevaluated scorns of assessment group were signitieanfly lower than that of control group ( P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions Pains are very common among severe senile dementia patients during the routine medical treatments and can be evaluated by C-PALNAD. Corresponding non--drug treatments could reduce the harmful effects of pain on senile dementia patients.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effective method of the prevention and treatment of procedural pain in dressing changes of burn wounds.

METHODSNinety patients of burn injury were randomized into 3 groups, 30 cases in each one. In the group A, fentanyl citrate injection was used at corresponding injury area, jiaogan (AH6a, sympathetic nerve), fei (CO14, lung), neifenmi (CO18, endocrine) on ear, 0.25 mL at each point. In the group B, fentanyl citrate injection was applied subcutaneously in the deltoid muscle, 1 mL. In the group C, 0.9% sodium chloride injection was applied subcutaneously in the deltoid muscle, 1 mL. The visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the analgesic effect before, during and 10 min after dressing change in the patients of the three groups separately.

RESULTSIt was not different in VAS score before dressing change among the three groups (P> 0.05). Compared with that before dressing change, the pain was not significant and VAS score was not different during and after dressing change in the patients of the group A (both P>0.05), but the score in the patients of the group B and C was different significantly (all P<0.05). The VAS score during and after dressing change in the group A was lower than that in the group B and C (all P<0.05), and the score in the group B was lower than that in the group C (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONFentanyl injection of small dose at auricular points achieves definite analgesic effect on procedural pain in dressing changes of burn wounds, superior to subcutaneous injection of fentanyl.

The effects of different carbon source,nitrogen source,proportion of carbon and nitrogen source, microelement and buffer salts on the growth of Lactobacillus casei Zhang isolated from Koumiss were studied.The enrichment medium for Lactobacillus casei Zhang was optimized by response surface methodology and its composition was glucose 20.9 g/L,soy peptone 10.45 g/L,yeast extract 10.45 g/L,K2HPO4 3.5 g/L, sodium acetate 14.6 g/L,sodium citrate 2.35 g/L,MgSO4?7H2O 1.0 g/L,MnSO4?5H2O 54 mg/L, CuSO4?5H2O 10 mg/L,tween 80 1.0 g/L.After cultivated in enrichment medium for 18h at 37℃,the living cells of Lactobacillus casei Zhang were 4.78?109 CFU/mL,which was about 10 times higher than in MRS (4.8?10 8 CFU/mL).

Objective To study the effect of abdominal breathing on the female psychopath with anxiety or depression.Methods 80 cases of the female psychopath patients were divided into 40 cases as the test group and 40 cases as the control group randomly.The two groups received routine care for 8 weeks.Meanwhile,the test group received abdominal breathing treatment additionally.All the patients were assessed with Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) before and after the treatment.Results After the treatment,the test group had less anxiety and depression,as compared with that before the treatment,the difference was statistically significant [ (48.75 ± 8.17) vs (37.60 ± 7.30),(56.50 ±7.91 ) vs (43.20 ±9.22) ;t =10.092,9.321 ; P ＜ 0.05 ] ; The score of anxiety of the test group,as compared with that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (t =- 10.410,P ＜0.05),also the comparison of the depression between the two groups,the difference was statistically significant ( t =- 9.248,P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Abdominal breathing could effectively ease the anxiety and depression of psychopath patients,and it is better for the psychopath' s rehabilitation.

Objective To study a rare CT finding of pulsatile tinnitus(FT)caused by sigmoid sinus abnormalities.Methods The imaging data of PT caused by sigmoid sinus abnormalities were analyzed retrospectively in 15 patients(15 female).The median age was 45 years(24 to 63 years).The duration of persistence pulsatile tinnitus was from 0.5 year to 36.0 years(median time,2.0 years).The tinnitus was at left side in 5 patients and right side in 10 patients.Fifteen patients underwent HRCT of the temporal bone.Of them,12 patients underwent cerebral CT angiography and CT venogram(CTA/CTV),and 9 patients underwent cerebral digital subtraction angiography(DSA).Nine patients underwent transmastoid reconstruction surgery of the sigmoid sinus.Of them,the tinnitus was at left side in 2 patients and right side in 7 patients.Paired rank sum test was used to compare the cross-sectional area of the sigmoid sinus of the tinnitus side and normal side.Results On HRCT,focal bony coarse defect is shown in the anterior sigmoid wall in 11 patients and anterolateral sigmoid wall in 4 patients.On CTA/CTV,the sigmoid sinus focally protruded into the adjacent mastoid air cells and formed diverticulum in 10 patients.The pulsatile tinnitus disappeared immediately after transmastoid reconstruction surgery of the sigmoid sinus in all 9 patients.The cross-sectional area of the sigmoid sinus of the tinnitus side was 100.6(41.5-96.2)mm~2,it was 77.0(92.1-122.4)mm~2 in the nonmal side(Z=2.158,P=0.031).Conclusion Focal bony defect of the sigmoid wall with sigmoid sinus diverticula is one of the causes which lead to pulsatile tinnitus,which can be easily identified by imaging examination.

Objective To observe the combined poisonous effects of fluoride and aluminum on sex hormone of male rats.Methods Sixteen weaned SD healthy male rats aged two week were selected and divided into control group,aluminum group,fluoride group,fluorine-aluminum group,four rats in each group.All rats in the experimental groups were fed with corn collected from the prevailng areas containing different fluorine contents respectively for 90 days.Serum testosterone(T)and estradiol(E2)were detected.Results Compared separatelv with the control group[(3.317±0.635)μg/L],serum T level of fluorine-aluminum group[(15.994±6.558)μg/L]was higher(P＜0.05),but aluminum[(8.134±3.134)μg/L]and fluorine[(1.868±0.367)μg/L]groups had no significant differences(P＞0.05).Compared separately with the control group[(0.319±0.072)nmol/L],E2 level of the fluorine group[(0.172±0.030)nmol/L]being lower(P＜0.05),and it was not significant differences(P＞0.05)in the control group when compared with aluminum group[(0.282±0.012)nmol/L],and fluorine-aluminum group[(0.265±0.047)nmol/L].Fluorine and aluminum interacted with each other(F=9.82,P＜0.05).Conclusion The combined poisonous effects of fluorine and aluminum may influence sex hormone levels of male rats.

Background:Reduced expression of tripartite motif-containing 3 (TRIM3) has been reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of human glioblastoma.In our previous research,we found that TRIM3 expression was markedly reduced in human primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and that low TRIM3 expression was associated with short survival of HCC patients.However,the role of TRIM3 in liver cancer remains unknown.This study aimed to investigate the function of TRIM3 in liver cancer cells.Methods:The protein levels of TRIM3 in five liver cancer cell lines (SK-Hep1,Hep3B,Huh7,HepG2,Bel-7402) and one normal liver cell line (L02) were detected with Western blotting.HepG2 and Bel-7402 cells with IowTRIM3 expression were infected with recombinant lentiviruses overexpressing TRIM3 (LV-TRIM3),whereas Huh7 and Hep3B cells with high TRIM3 expression were transfected with TRIM3-targeted small interfering RNA (siTRIM3).The functions of TRIM3 in the proliferation,colony formation,cell cycle,migration,invasion,and apoptosis of the above cell lines were examined.The effect of TRIM3 on tumor growth and metastases in nude mice was also investigated.Results:TRIM3 was overexpressed in HepG2 and Bel-7402 cells with LV-TRIM3 infection,which further reduced proliferation,colony formation,migration,and invasion of both cell lines.Cell cycle analysis showed thatTRIM3 overexpression induced G0/G1 phase arrest in HepG2 and Bel-7402 cells.Moreover,apoptosis was not increased in HepG2 or Bel-7402 cells overexpressing TRIM3.Contrarily,silencing TRIM3 expression in Huh7 and Hep3B cells by siTRIM3 led to significantly decreased percentages of both cells in the G0/G1 phase and promoted cell proliferation,colony formation,migration,and invasion.In vivo experiment results confirmed thatTRIM3 overexpression suppressed tumor growth and metastasis.Conclusions:TRIM3 plays a tumor-suppressing role in the regulation of liver cancer development by reducing cell proliferation through cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase.

OBJECTIVETo observe the role of interleukin (IL) 21 alone, IL12 alone, and IL21 plus IL12 for inducing the antitumor activity of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in patients with endometrial cancer.

METHODSPBMCs were isolated from peripheral blood in patients with endometrial cancer in vitro, and kept the culture with low-level IL2. IL2-stimulated PBMCs were cocultured under different conditions (with anti-IL21 antibody, IL21 alone, IL12 alone, or IL21 plus IL12) for 72 h. The cytotoxicity of PBMCs was then examined by lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) released assay. CD4(+) CD25(+) FOXP3(+) regulatory (Treg) cell and CD4(+) IL17A(+) T-helper (Th17) cell proportion were determined with flow cytometry. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were measured by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)assay and flow cytometry, respectively.

RESULTSIn comparison to control group, both IL21 and IL12 significantly enhanced the cytotoxicity of PBMCs. The IL21 plus IL12 group had superior effect to IL21 alone and IL12 alone. IL21 and IL12 significantly decreased the percentages of Treg cells and the rate of PBMCs apoptosis. IL21 or IL12 had no significant effect on the differentiation of Th17 cells and the proliferation of PBMCs.

CONCLUSIONSIL21 and IL12 can enhance the cytotoxicity of PBMCs in patients with endometrial cancer, which can be further strengthened with treatment of IL21 plus IL12. Such effects may be achieved by inhibiting the differentiation of Treg cells and the apoptosis of PBMCs, but not by the differentiation of Th17 cell.

The flavonoids were investigated from the whole plants of Lagopsis supina. The compounds were isolated and purified by various column chromatography, and their structures were identified by physiochemical properties and spectroscopic data. Two flavones were isolated from the CH2Cl2 layer of Lagopsis supina extract and identified as genkwanin (1) and 5-hydroxy-7,4'-dimethoxyflavone (2), respectively. Ten flavonoid glycosides were isolated from the water layer of Lagopsis supina and elucidated as kaempferol-3-O-6" (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl) -β-D-glucoside (3), quercetin-3-O-6"-(3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl) -β-D-glucoside (4), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside(5), kaempferol-3-Of3-D-glucoside ( 6), isorhamnetin-3-O-/-D-glycopyranoside (7), apigenin-7-O-6-D-glucoside (8), luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucoside (9), chrysoeriol-7-O-β-D-glucoside (10), rutin (11 ), and kaempferol-3-β-(6"-p-coumaroyl) -β-D-glucoside (tiliroside, 12). Compounds 3 and 4 were firstly isolated from Lamiaceae family, and compounds 1-12 were isolated from the plants of Lagopsis genus for the first time.
