Objective To investigate the damaging traits of cognitive function in first episode depression patients with the assessment of neuropsychological status ( RBANS) and Stroop Color-word Test. Methods Two hundred and thirty first-episode depression patients as experimental group and one hundred and seventy-eight health person as control were evaluated separately by repeatable battery for the RBANS and Stroop Color-word Test. Results In Stroop Color-word Test, the time required for completing the words,color,double-word,two-color in depression patients ( (14.37 ±6.65)s,(21. 58 ±8. 70) s,( 16. 56 ±8. 23)s, (37. 88 ± 13. 67) s) were longer than the control group ((12.38 ±3.34)s, (18.01 ±5.51) s, (14. 17 ±4. 37) s, (32. 87 ± 10.28) s). The difference between the two groups was found in cognitive function in first episode depression patients (P < 0.05). The scores of color interference and meaning interference were no difference between the two groups (P>0.05) . The patients'scores of the RBANS test in all items( (72.19 ± 17.22), (80.89 ± 15.29), (82.00 ± 16.37) , (98.74 ± 17.01) ,(82.09 ± 14.62) )were significantly poorer than those in healthy controls. Compared with control group, scores of the scales were significant difference between two groups. Pearson correlation analysis showed that RBANS total score and five factors had no correlation with HAMD total score and factors. It positively correlated with education level (P<0.05) ,but not with sex (P>0.05). Immediate memory, verbal function, delayed memory in five factors and RBANS total score negatively correlated with age and course of disease respectively, but breadth of vision, attention were not did(P<0.05). Conclusion First-episode depression patients suffer from more serious and comprehensive damage of cognitive function such as memory, attention, executive function.

Objective To examine the different effects of impulsive and aggressive personality on college students' suicide attempt. Methods Four thousand nine hundred eighteen sophomores and juniors were selected according to the principle of cluster sampling from Beijing agricultural university and Beijing university of information science and tech?nology. Four thousand seven hundred ninety-seven of them completed the survey. Their impulsive and aggressive person?ality were evaluated by the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-Chinese Versions (BIS-CV) and the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire-Chinese Versions (AQ-CV). A self-made questionnaire were used to investigate suicidal idea and self-in?jury/suicidal behavior of college students. Results Among the sophomores and juniors, 18 participants had self-injury/suicidal behavior (3.75‰) and 1843 had suicidal idea (38.42%). Compared with the students who didn’t have self-inju?ry/suicidal behavior, those who once had self-injury/suicidal behavior had significantly higher BIS-CV score (P<0.01) and higher scores of non-planning and motor factors (P<0.05). They also had significantly higher score in AQ-CV and the factors of physical aggression, verbal aggression, anger, hostility and pointing to the self attacks (P<0.01). Conclu? sions The college students with self-injury/suicidal behavior have higher tendency in impulsive and aggressive personali?ty. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent suicide behavior, form high impulsive and aggressive intention and behavior.

ObJective To evaluate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography microflow imaging (MFI) in detecting prostate cancer. Methods Sixty-five patients with serum prostate-specific antigen levels higher than 4.00 μg/L were evaluated with transrectal gray-scale,power Doppler, and MFI ultrasonography and then biopsy guided by ultrasonography. Biopsy was performed at twelve sites in the base, the mid gland and the apex in each patient. In these three transverse sections, when any of the three methods showed abnormality, the biopsy site was directed to the abnormal foci. Diagnostic efficiency of the three methods for prostate cancer detection was compared based on biopsy results according to patient and biopsy site. Results Overall prostate cancers were detected in 230 (29.5 %) of 780 specimens in 36(55.4%) of 65 patients. MFI could detect more patients(34) than gray-scale(26) and power Doppler(28) (P = 0.021, P = 0.031), 6(16.7%)of the 36 patients diagnosed with cancer were identified only by MFI. By biopsy site, MFI had higher sensitivity and overall accuracy (80.0% and 83.0%) than gray-scale (47.0% and 76.8%) and power Doppler (37.4% and 74.6%) ultrasonography(P <0.001, P<0.001 ; P = 0.001, P <0.001), while the specificity of MFI was 84.4%, lower than gray-scale (89.3%) and power Doppler (90.2%) ultrasonography(P = 0.009, P < 0.001). Conclusions MFI could detect more patients and improve sensitivity and overall accuracy by biopsy site than conventional uhrasonography.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2016;32(9):1242-1248
Aim To investigate the selective inhibition of ethanol on muscarinic receptor-or 5-HT receptor-me-diated contractile responses in the circular smooth mus-cle strips isolated from the different regions of rat stom-ach. Methods Circular muscle strips isolated from the rat gastric fundus, body, cardia and pylorus were prepared, and the contractile responses to carbachol ( CCh ) or 5-HT were recorded. Results Ethanol (0. 000 05~0. 000 5, V/V) did not affect the contrac-tile response to CCh in circular muscle strips from the rat gastric fundus and cardia, and that to 5-HT in the strips from rat gastric fundus and body ( P >0. 05 ) . However, ethanol(0. 000 1 and 0. 000 5) significantly inhibited the Emax value of the contraction by CCh from (12. 18 ± 0. 33) g of control level to (10. 88 ± 0. 41) g and -lgEC50 value from ( 6. 33 ± 0. 05 ) of control level to (6. 12 ± 0. 06)(P <0. 05) in the strips from rat gastric body. Ethanol(0. 000 1 and 0. 000 5) also significantly inhibited the Emax value of the contraction by CCh from (2. 87 ± 0. 15) g of control level to (2. 2 ± 0. 13) g and -lgEC50 value from (6. 49 ± 0. 10) of control level to (6. 05 ± 0. 09)(P<0. 01) in the strips from rat gastric pylorus. Moreover, ethanol ( 0. 000 1 and 0. 000 5) significantly inhibited the Emax value of the contraction by 5-HT from (2. 93 ± 0. 35) g of con-trol level to ( 2. 1 ± 0. 30 ) g ( P<0. 05 ) , but did not affect the -lgEC50 value in the strips from rat gastric cardia. Conclusions Ethanol inhibits the contractile responses to 5-HT only in the circular muscle strips of rat gastric cardia, and it inhibits the contractile respon-ses to CCh more strongly in the circular muscle strips of gastric pylorus than gastric body. In those gastric circular muscle strips, ethanol decreases both the ac-tivity and affinity of CCh to muscarinic receptors, but decreases only the activity of 5-HT to its receptors.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(03):-
Objective To investigate whether paclitaxel can efficiently induce the apoptosis of ovarian cell HO-8910,and to study the relationship between the apoptosis of cells and the cell cycle. Methods With the treatment of paclitaxel with different concentrations and different time, the morphologic change of HO-8910 ovarian cells was observed using fluorescence microscopy and transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and the apoptosis of cells and the changes of cell cycle were determined by flow cytometry(FCM). Results The typical changes of HO-8910 cell apoptosis were observed by TEM and Fluorescence microscopy. With the treatment of paclitaxel, the HO-8910 ovarian cells were firstly arrested in G_2/M phase, and the typical ultrastructural changes of apoptosis were appeared only after the cells were apparently arrested in G_2/M phase. Conclusion Paclitaxel can induce the apoptosis of HO-8910 cells and the apoptosis is associated with the blockage of G_2/M phase in cell cycle.
