Objective To reconfirm the mesangial cell differentiation potential of BMSCs and to study the mechanism of cell induction.Methods Rat BMSCs were isolated and incubated with platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)-BB to induce the mesangial cell phenotype.At day 7,the cell morphology,mesangial cell-specific markers and cell contraction function were examined.MAPK/ERK kinase inhibitor(PD98059) was added to examine its impact on cell growth and mesangial cells marker expression.Results After cultivation under the differentiation condition for 7 days,the induced cells expressed ?-actin and Desmin,which highly resembled cultured mesangial cells in rat.The induced cells with increasing level of PDGF receptors mRNA expression changed into a wide range of shapes from spindle to stellate and were contracted in response to angiotensin Ⅱ.PD98059 perturbed the induced cells mesangial cell-specific markers mRNA expression.Conclusion BMSCs can differentiate into mesangial-like cells with PDGF-BB induction in vitro.The mechanism involved in the differentiation was mediated through MAPK/ERK1/2 signal transduction pathway.

After the history of health-promoting Qigong was described, the collation and digitalization plan of Qigong in formulas or rhymes was put forward, then a Qigong in formulas or rhymes database was constructed based on their indexing, the health preserving and cultural value of Qigong in formulas or rhymes was mined.

Ebola virus (EBOV) and Marburg virus (MARV) belong to the family Filoviridae. Filoviruses cause severe filovirus hemorrhagic fever (FHF) in humans, with high case fatality rates, and represent potential agents for bioterrorism and biological weapons. It is necessary to keep surveillance of filoviruses, even though there is no report of their isolation and patients in China so far. To characterize MARV morphology, the Lake Victoria marburgvirus--Leiden was stained negatively and observed under a transmission electron microscope which is one of important detection methods for filoviruses in emergencies and bioterrorism. MARV showed pleomorphism, with filamentous, rod-shaped, cobra-like, spherical, and branch-shaped particles of uniform diameter but different lengths. Pleomorphism of negatively stained MARV is summarized in this article, so as to provide useful information for possible electron microscopic identification of filoviruses in China.

Objective To explore the effects of human menopausal gonadotropopin(HMG) supplementation on the outcome of women underwent in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET) .Methods The data of 406 IVF-ET cycles in Reproductive Medi-cine Center of the 105th Hospital of PLA were analyzed retrospectively .All cases underwent long down regulation protocol with gonadotropin releasing hormone agonist(GnRH-a) in the mid-luteal phase and controlled ovarian stimulation(COS) was carried out with follicle stimulation hormone(r-FSH) on the days 3 -5 of the menstrual cycle .Then 75 -150 U HMG was administrated in group A(257 cycles) when a dominant follicle reached a diameter of 14 mm ,while the remaining cases(149 cycles) underwent HCG still with r-FSH were served as group B .Based on the LH levels on the day of HMG administration ,the cases in group A were sub-divided into :group A1(99 cycles) ,LH<1 U/L ;group A2(96 cycles) ,1 U/L≤LH≤2 U/L ,and group A3(62 cycles) ,LH>2 U/L .Clinical outcomes of all groups were analyzed and compared .Results The durations and doses of gonadotropin(Gn) ,the rates of fertilization and pregnancy were higher and the abortion rate was lower in group A than that in group B (P<0 .05) .There were no significant difference in serum LH concentrations on the days of HMG and HCG administration ,oocytes retrieved ,the rates of cleavage and embryo implantation between group A and group B(P>0 .05) .There was significant difference in serum LH levels on the day of HMG supplementation among group A1 ,A2 and A3(P<0 .05) and the doses of HMG supplemented reduced gradually from group A1 to group A3(P<0 .05) .The duration of Gn was significantly lower and the fertilization rate was significantly higher in group A3 compared with group A1 and A2(P<0 .05) .The pregnancy rate in group A2 and A3 was higher than that in group A1 ,which showed significant difference between group A2 and A1(P<0 .05) .Meanwhile ,there were no significant difference in doses of r-FSH ,serum LH concentrations on the day of HCG administration ,oocytes retrieved ,the rates of cleavage ,implantation and abortion among the three groups(P>0 .05) .Conclusion HMG supplementation in the middle and late follicle phases in stand-ard long down-regulation protocol during IVF could obtain higher pregnancy rate and lower abortion rate ,especially when their ser-um LH level was between 1 U/L and 2 U/L without obvious increase of LH .

Objective: To compare the diagnostic performance between panoramic radiography(PR)and cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)in the assessment of external root resorption(ERR)of mandibular second molars associated with impacted third molars. Methods: A total number of 832 patients with 1 074 mesially and horizontally impacted mandibular third molars treated at our institution from January 2019 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Presence of ERR on the adjacent second molar was investigated with PR and CBCT. Factors affecting the diagnostic accuracy of PR were determined. Results: The overall incidence of ERR in second molars was 33.15%(356/1 074)as detected by CBCT images. The accuracy of PR was 66.39%. Multivariate Logistic regression analyses further revealed that middle and Class Ⅲ impaction, crown contact or overlap with the root of adjacent tooth were risk factors for inaccurate diagnosis of PR(P<0.05). Conclusion The accuracy of detection on ERR of mandibular second molar associated with impacted third molar using panoramic radiography is lower. CBCT is recommended for this clinical scenario.

OBJECTIVETo probe into the role of Siguan points in treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome.

METHODSBased on diagnosis, pathogenesis and etiology of chronic fatigue syndrome in TCM, the role of Siguan points in treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome were induced by means of relative literatures of Siguan points in recent 10 years from 3 aspects.

CONCLUSIONAcupuncture at Siguan as main points has a better therapeutic effect on chronic fatigue syndrome.
