Objective To explore the imaging features of pediatric splenic primary solitary tumor. Methods The medical imaging appearances of 6 children with splenic primary solitary tumor conifrmed by surgery and pathology from January 2010 to August 2015 were retrospectively studied. The related literatur were reviewed. Results In 6 children, 2 children of cystic lesions, ultrasound showed anechoic mass, CT scan showed low density mass, without change after contrast, pathologically conifrmed as congenital cyst;2 children’s ultrasound showed solid echo, color Doppler ultrasound explored the blood lfow signals, contrast CT showed the lower strength around the splenic parenchyma, pathologically conifrmed as splenic lymphangioma;one child’s unltrasound showed echo mass with rich signals of blood lfow, MRI scans showed T1WI, T2WI and other signals of lumps, with little homogenity after contrast, pathologically conifrmed as splenic hamartoma;one child’s ultrasound cannot distinguish tumor boundaries, contrast CT scan showed concentric filling reinforcement, pathologically confirmed as hemangioma. Conclusion Splenic primary solitary tumor in children is rare. There are no speciifc clinical characteristics. The image ifndings can deifne the locations and help the differential diagnosis. The ifnal diagnosis depends on pathology.

Objective To evaluate the sonography features of heptaobiliary involvement of pediatric Langerhans′cell histiocytosis ( LCH) . Methods Nine pediatric patients with LCH confirmed by the clinical presentation ,biochemical tests and pathologic results of our hospital were retrospectively analyzed . Results Eight patients were seen in multi‐system LCH ,while one patient only had liver involved . All patients showed varying hepatomegaly with multiple distributed lesions in ultrasound images . According the lesion distribution features ,they could be classified into three types:central type(6/9) ,peripheral type(1/9) and diffuse type(2/9) . In ultrasonography ,they manifested as linear lesions alongside the central portal veins , multi‐nodular and randomly distributed lesions in liver parenchyma ,or both of them . Eight bile‐duct involved patients behaved with unevenly thicked bile‐duct walls ,stenosis or dilated bile‐ducts ,and even sclerosing cholangitis , some of them with cholelithiasis . Conclusions Pediatric LCH patients with heptobiliary involved are seemed mainly in multi‐system LCH ,while it is rare but possible that pathological Langerhans′cell only infringe on liver and bile‐ducts . The ultrasound imaging findings of pediatric LCH liver infiltration are with characteristic and are helpful for the early diagnosis and clinical procedure .

OBJECTIVE: To standardize the management on test of hospital preparations to ensure the quality of preparations. METHODS: The Access database and Word application of in Microsoft Office automatic groupware were integrated organically using VBA programming, and the data management system suitable for hospital preparation test was designed. RESULTS: The print files of various primary records and reports related to testing work exhibited beautiful page and uniformed format. Testing data of preparations were included into data base by computer recording, which facilitated data inquiry and data processing related to quality of hospital preparations. CONCLUSION: Due to this system, both the efficiency and quality of hospital preparation test work have been enhanced, which contributes to institutionalization and standardization of hospital preparation work.

Objective To study the low dose hyper-radiosensitivity in human lung cancer cell line A549,and its possible mechanisms.Methods Exponentially growing A549 cells were irradiated with 60Co γ-rays at doses of 0-2 Gy.Together with flow cytometry for precise cell sorting,cell survival fraction was measured by mean of conventional colony-formation assay.ATM1981 Ser-P protein expression was examined by Western blot.Apoptosis was identified by Hoechst 33258 fluorescent staining,and Annexin V-FITC and propidium iodide staining flow cytometry.Cell cycle distribution was observed by flow cytometry.Results There was an excessive cell killing per unit dose when the doses were below about 0.3 Gy,and the cells exhibited more resistant response at the doses between 0.3 and 0.5 Gy,the cell survival fraction was decreased as the doses over 0.5 Gy.The expression of ATM1981Ser-P protein was first observed at 0.2 Gy,followed by an increase over 0.2 Gy,and reached the peak at 0.5 Gy(compared with 0.2 Gy group,t=7.96,P＜0.05),with no further increase as the doses at 1.0 and 2.0 Gy(t=0.69,0.55,P＞0.05).24 hours after irradiation,part cells presented the characteristic morpholos4cal change of apoptosis,and the apoptosis curve was coincident with the dose-survival curve.Compared with the control group,the cell cycle had no change post-irradiation to 0.1 and 0.2 Gy.G2/M phase arrest was manifested at 6 and 12 hours post-irradiation to 0.3,0.4 and 0.5 Gy(t=2.87,2.88,4.92 and 3.70,3.12,8.11,P＜0.05),and the ratio of G2/M phase was decreased at 24 hours post-irradiation(t=3.87,4.77,3.01,P＜0.05).Conclusions A549 cells displays the phenomenon of hyper-radiosensitivity(HRS)/induced radioresistance(IRR).The model of cell death induced by low dose irradiation is mainly apoptosis.The activity of ATM and cell cycle change might play an important role in HRS/IRR.

BACKGROUND: Child neglect is one of the most important aspects of child abuse and has become a serious problem influencing children's development all over the world. Therefore, it is necessary to nderstand the current conditions and influential factors of child neglect and establish effective evaluation methods in China.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the current conditions and influential factors of urban child neglect in Suzhou city.DESIGN: A comparative analysis of sampling survey.SETTING: Department of Children's Health Care, Soochow University Affiliated Children's Hospital.PARTICIPANTS: This study was conducted in one public kindergarten and two private kindergartens of urban areas in Suzhou city between March and October 2003. Totally 370 children (196 boys and 174 girls) aged between 4 to 6 years old without obvious physical and mental diseases were voluntarily investigated, and they had been living with the person that answered the questionnaire regarding to child neglect in China in the recent 1 year. METHODS: Questionnaire regarding to child neglect in China was sent to each volunteer.he questionnaire evaluates the current conditions of child neglect by 20 items of 5 aspects including physical care (buy fruit for child, consider the nutritional need of child, care about the body height and body mass of child), emotional care (chat with child, play and tour with child, encourage child to do the things whatever they can, listen to what the child feels, introduce the child to the guests when they come to your home, let him or her stop immediately when child cries, care about the activities in kindergarten), education care (buy books for child, tell stories to child, recognize and correct the bad behavior of child, answer the questions asked by child seriously), safety care (protections against fire and electricity at home, warn child against matches, knives and other sharp things, teach child how to cross the road) and health care (prepare the common medicine for child at home, urge child to brush teeth, correct the bad posture). The volunteers were asked to answer each question objectively according to the conditions of child within the recent 1 year, and each question should be answered by selecting only one choice (never, occasionally, usually, always), and anyone should not be omitted. Meanwhile,the educational background and occupation of the parents were also investigated.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The general status of child neglect and the effects of different family educational background and occupation of parents on child neglect were observed. RESULTS: Totally 370 questionnaires were sent out, and 370 qualified ones were recollected, the effective rate was 100%. ① In Suzhou city, the children were given better regards and good care in the aspects of education, medicine and safety, but neglects on children's physical and mental care still exists in a few families. ② Families of different educational background could think highly of the medical care, safety and psychical care of children, but neglects on education and emotional development more commonly existed in the families with the educational background under university. ③ All the families with different occupation could think highly of the medical care, safety and physical care of the children, but education and emotional development were better in the cadre families than in the ordinary families.CONCLUSION: In Suzhou city, the children are given better regards and good care in the aspects of education, medicine and safety, but some bad manifestations of child neglect exist in education and emotion, which are associated with the educational background and occupation of the parents.Further studies about the evaluation, prevention and intervention are needed for child neglect in China.

Objective To investigate the related factors of clinical incidence and the ultrasound diagnostic value of endometrial polyps (EMP).Methods A total of 278 patients with clinical abnormal vaginal bleeding,menorrhagia,infertility,cervical polyps or physical examination showing EMP received vaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy.The related clinical factors were recorded and single factors and multivariate unconditional Logistic regression analysis were carried.Results The univariate analysis showed that the number of pregnancy,menopause,placing intrauterine device,oral comtraceptives,history of hormone therapy,chronic endometritis,cervical polyp,merger endometriosis and obesity were the statistically significant factors of EMP incidence (P ＜ 0.05 or ＜ 0.01),which were used as dependent variables for multivariate Logistic regression analysis,indicating that menopause,chronic endometritis,history of hormone therapy and cervical polyp significantly affecting EMP incidence (P ＜ 0.05),with OR values of 4.068,4.122,3.770 and 3.983 respectively.Conclusion Menopause,chronic endometritis,history of hormone therapy,cervical polyps are the related risk factors of EMP.

Objective To accurately understand multi-spot medical practice in China and evaluate its effect.Methods Operation data of 2008 and 2009 were gathered from all medical institutions in Kunming to analyze the effect of the practice trial using the fixed effect model.Results Under control of such factors as the scale and type of the hospitals,clinic visits of the second certified hospital benefited by the practice increased by 14％than before,whereas the medical revenue of the institution increased by 29％.The effect proves more significant in terms of total clinic visits and medical revenues at level-1 and level-2 medical institutions.Conclusion Multi-spot medical practice in Kunming proves successful as it increased medical service supply and medical revenue,especially for level-1 and level-2 medical institutions.This effect possibly results from releasing high-level physicians down to lower-level institutions,helping these institutions to attract patients.
