1.Diagnosis and treatment of renal artery aneurysm:an advancement
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1985;0(05):-
Renal artery aneurysms are rare and surgical intervention is difficult due to complicated anatomy.Endovascular techniques make it easier for vascular surgeons, but the long-term outcomes remain to be observed. This article reviews the current status, advancements and existing problems in diagnosis and treatment of renal artery aneurysms.
2.The clinic effect and safety of inhaled nitric oxide for the neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2015;22(9):599-602
Objective To study the clinic effect and safety of inhaled nitric oxide for the neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure. Methods A total of 21 neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure were trea-ted with nitric oxide inhalation after ineffective treatment of conventional mechanical ventilation. The values of mean airway pressure( MAP) ,oxygenation index( OI) ,mean blood pressure and saturation of blood oxy-gen percutem( TcSaO2 ) were detected before and after nitric oxide inhalation. Meanwhile, the values of coag-ulation function, nitrogen dioxide concentration and methaemoglobin were monitored. Results The lung oxy-genation of 21 cases were significantly improved in 48 hours after nitric oxide inhalation,OI declined from 26. 600 ±4. 169 to 7. 500 ±1. 716,MAP decreased from(15. 100 ±2. 132)cmH2O(1 cmH2O=0. 098 kPa) to (8. 000 ± 0. 816) cmH2O,which all had statistical differences(P <0. 01). The monitoring of coagulation function was in the normal range. The levels of methaemoglobin were less than 3% and nitrogen dioxide less than 1 × 10 -6 . In this study,18 neonates survived,2 neonates died and 1 neonate gave up treatment. Conclu-sion Inhaled nitric oxide early can improve oxygenation effectively for neonates with hypoxic respiratory failure without obvious side-effect. However,it is not yet clear for its long-term prognosis and whether there is influence development of the nervous system.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of the immunotherapy of CIK cell, LAK cell and PBLS cell mediated by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 bispecific antibody (BsAb) respectively on the mice borne human gastric cancer and provide experimental evidence for therapeutic strategy in treating gastric cancer. Methods The mAbs of anti-CD3 and anti-EGFR were cross-linked to prepare the BsAb by chemical synthesis. The experimental therapy on the mice borne SGC7901 human gastric cancer was performed, and then the comparisons of the curative activity among the CIK group, LAK group and PBLS group were conducted in vivo. ResultsThe mean tumor reduction rate of the administration of CIK cells directed by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb was(64.9±7.7)% and higher than those of LAK cells or PBLS targeted by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb [(43.5±8.2) % and (39.7±6.5) %] (P < 0.05).The mean tumor weight of the administration of CIK cells directed by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb was (473.9±37.7) mg at the end of therapy and was lower than those of LAK cells or PBLS targeted by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb [(764.6±88.3) mg and (829.1±104.4) mg](P < 0.05). ConclusionThe CIK cell mediated by anti-EGFR/anti-CD3 BsAb could have better curative effect than other effector cells on gastric cancer in vivo.

Objective To investigate the changes of parathyroid hormone receptor in patients with different stages of renal disease and its possible underlying mechanisms. Methods Relatively quantitative RT/PCR method was used to detect PTH receptor mRNA expression in renal specimens obtained through biopsy or operation. Results The levels of PTH receptor mRNA were significantly decreased in all patients with chronic glomerulonephritisx moderate renal failure severe renal failure and acute renal failure, which was correlated with the extent of renal impairment. Conclusion The downregulation of renal PTH receptor occurs much earlier than the changes of renal function., plasma PTH., serum phosphate and calcium in the course of human renal disease.

Objective To evaluate mid-term clinical result of drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation for patients with multivessel chronic total coronary occlusion (CTO) lesions. Methods We analyzed 89 patients who underwent interventional revascularization in their multivessel CTO lesions with DES from November 2002 to June 2005 (DES group). A control group was composed of 70 consecutive patients with multivessel CTO lesions treated with bare metal stents (BMS) from November 2000 to June 2003 (BMS group). Results There were no significant differences in basic clinical manifestations and success rate of intervention procedures between DES and BMS group. At 6-month follow-up, the cumulative rate of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) was 14.6% in the DES group and 28.6% in the BMS group (P=0.031). The incidence of restenosis was 16.9% in the DES group and 34.3% in the BMS group (P=0.011). The need for target vessel revascularization and target lesion revascularization in the DES group was significantly lower (9.0% vs 21.4%, P=0.003, and 7.9% vs 18.6%, P=0.043, respectively) compared with BMS group. Conclusion It is possible to obtain an ideal mid-term clinical outcome in patients with multivessel CTO lesions by DES implantation.

Aim Subcortical ischemic vascular demen-tia ( SIVD ) induced by chronic hypoperfusion due to small-artery disease is a common cause of vascular de-mentia ( VaD) , which is recognized as the second most prevalent type of dementia. The aim of this study was to determine whether carnosine played a protective role in cognitive impairment induced by permanent occlu-sion of the right unilateral common carotid arteries ( rUCCAO ) in SIVD. Methods Adult male mice ( C57BL/6 strain ) were subjected to rUCCAO, and treated with carnosine or saline. Locomotor test, open field test, hot plate test, freezing test and Morris water maze were performed after rUCCAO. Results There were no differences among rUCCAO group, carnosine group and sham group for total distance traveled in lo-comotor test. In the open field test, carnosine (200, 500 mg · kg-1 ) significantly revised the decrease of latency spent in the center induced by SIVD . There were no differences between rUCCAO and sham groups for the pain threshold. In freezing test, rUCCAO in-duced a significant reduction in content memory, which was completely reversed by treatment of carnosine. In Morris water maze training trials, rUCCAO-treated mice showed prolonged escape latency in acquisition phase, carnosine ( 200, 500 mg · kg-1 ) markedly shortened the escape latency. Conclusion These data suggest that carnosine has a neuroprotective effect on cognitive impairment induced by rUCCAO in mice.

Npu DnaE intein was used to produce some large proteins, which were difficult to obtain through conventional expression systems.A T7 expression system was described,by which the gene of T7 RNA polymerase is split into two pieces, and each piece fuses with Npu DnaE N-and C-terminal sequences respectively.Functional T7 RNA polymerase is created by mixing the two kinds of fusion constructs in vitro. The approach of split intein-mediated production of large proteins,in theory, readily generalizable to the purification of other large, cytotoxic or membrane proteins.
