AIM: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of intravitreal injection of triamcinolone combined macular grid photocoagulation treatment for macular edema.
METHODS: Totally 150 cases (150 eyes) with macular edema in our hospital from July 2009 to November 2013 were selected, which were randomly divided into study group (75 cases, 75 eyes) and control group (75 cases, 75 eyes) . The cases in control group were treated with macular grid photocoagulation treatment, those in the study group used triamcinolone acetonide combined macular grid photocoagulation treatment. Best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , parallel optical coherence tomography ( OCT) and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) were detected before treatment, after treatment 7d, 1, 3, and 9mo.
RESULTS:After the treatment, patients' vision were significantly improved in two groups (P<0. 05). In the study group 7d, 1, 3, and 9mo after operation, the visual acuity was better than the control group and preoperative (P<0. 05); fovea macular neurosensory layer thickness decreased significantly (P<0. 05). In the control group, the point omentum macular neurosensory retinal thickness was not statistically significant at 7d, 1, 3, and 9mo after operation compared with before treatment (P>0. 05). Fovea macular neurosensory retinal thickness in the study group was significantly lower than that in control group (P<0. 05). Intraocular pressure of 7 cases in the study group increased slightly, and were normal after treatment.
CONCLUSION: Triamcinolone acetonide combined macular grid photocoagulation treatment is accurate, can effectively improve the visual acuity, reduce macular edema, it is safe and reliable, and suitable for clinical application.

Objective To analyze the current status of influenza in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and provide targeted measures for the prevention and control of influenza in the entire region. Methods We collected data on influenza cases reported in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from the "Disease Monitoring Information Report Management System" of the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System from 2018 to 2022. Statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS 22.0, and the comparative differences were assessed using the χ2 test. ArcGIS 10.5 was used to create thematic maps. In this study, SaTScan 9.5 was used for spatiotemporal scanning analysis of influenza incidence data in the entire region from 2018 to 2022, conducting retrospective spatiotemporal reordering scans. Results From 2018 to 2022, a total of 25 485 cases of influenza were documented in Inner Mongolia, with the highest number of cases reported in 2019 (9 933 cases). Cases were reported throughout the year, with a peak season occurring in the winter and early spring of the following year. There were 13 538 cases in males and 11 947 cases in females, with a male-to-female ratio of 1.13:1, indicating a higher incidence rate in males. Cases were mainly concentrated in individuals under the age of 20, especially in the age group of 0 to 10 years, There were significant differences in influenza incidence rates among different regions and years, showing alternate patterns of prevalence. Retrospective spatiotemporal scanning analysis of influenza cases in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2018 to 2022 revealed that, in terms of temporal distribution, the cluster of cases mainly occurred in November to December each year and in January of the following year. During the influenza season, cases exhibited significant spatiotemporal clustering in the region. Conclusions The number of reported influenza cases in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region varied from year to year but there was no increasing trend over time. Children under 10 years old were the primary susceptible population, and influenza exhibited significant seasonal variation and spatiotemporal clustering. It is recommended to strengthen public awareness and education on influenza prevention and vaccination before the influenza season each year, develop good hygiene habits, seek medical attention early when symptoms occur, and reduce the risk of clustered influenza outbreaks.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2017;37(5):616-620
Objective · To investigate the possible factors affecting the gastric emptying rate in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods · 94 type 2 diabetic patients treated at the Department of Endocrinology of Renji Hospital affiliated toShanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from September 2013 to March 2014 were enrolled. The half gastric emptying time (T1/2) and retention at 120 min (R120 min) were measured. Results · Female patients had longer T1/2 (P=0.000) and higher R120 min (P=0.000) than male patients. The differences in age, duration of iabetes,BMI, blood glucose level, chronic diabetic complications, and gastrointestinal symptoms between normal and delayed gastric emptying groups were not statistically significant. Acarbose had no effect on the gastric emptying rate in type 2 diabeticpatients. Conclusion · The gastric emptying rate in type 2 diabetic patients is associated with the gender and has no significant correlation with blood glucose level, chronic diabetic complications, gastrointestinal symptoms, and acarbose.

Chongqing Medicine 2017;46(23):3231-3233
Objective To observe the expression of P21 and CDK6 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma, and to investigate the relationship between their expression and cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The expression of CDK6 and P21 in 100 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma,20 cases of cervical CIN lesions and 20 cases of normal cervical tissues were detected by immunohistochemical ABC method, and the relationship between them and tumor differentiation, invasion depth, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage were analyzed. Results The expression rates of P21 and CDK6 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma tissues were significantly higher than those in CIN lesions and normal cervical tissues; The low expression of P21 was associated with the depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (P<0.05),and was not associated with the degree of tumor differentiation (P>0.05);The high expression of CDK6 was associated with tumor differentiation, invasion depth, lymph node metastasis and clinical stage (P<0.05).Conclusion The abnormal expression of P21 and CDK6 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, and the two may have a certain significance in the prognosis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
