1.Investigate the efficacy of autologous serum combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor in repairing of corneal defect
International Eye Science 2019;19(4):619-622
AIM: To investigate the efficacy of autologous serum combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor in repairing of corneal defect after corneal foreign body eliminating operation.
METHODS: Totally 92 patients with corneal foreign body(110 affected eyes)as the research object in our hospital from October 2015 to March 2016. All the patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table. There was no significant difference between the two groups in age, sex and disease course. Both groups received corneal foreign body elimination by slit lamp. The treatment group was given eye drops containing epidermal growth factor combined autologous serum and tobramycin after surgery, while the control group was only administrated with epidermal growth factor and tobramycin. Treatment effects were compared 1wk after treatment.
RESULTS: One week after the treatment, the cure rate in the treatment group(96.4%)was much higher than that in the control group(78.2%). Two days after treatment, the fluorescein staining in the treatment group was 98.2%, it was higher than that in the control group(83.6%). The concentration of TNF-α and IL-6 of the treatment group was lower than that in the control group. One week after the treatment, AS-OCT images showed that the repair of corneal matrix in the treatment group was closer to the preoperative normal level.
CONCLUSION: The treatment effect that AS combined rhEGF is much better than that only usde rhEGF, shortened healing time of corneal epithelial wound. It is more effective and security to treat traumatic corneal epithelial defect, better repair function to corneal matrix.
2.Clinical study on the application of digital and visual retinoscope in the detection of ametropia in adolescents
International Eye Science 2021;21(5):931-934
AIM: To study the application value of digital and visual retinoscope in the detection of ametropia in adolescents.
METHODS:A retrospective analysis of digital visual inspection and traditional retinography test results of 69 adolescents in the ophthalmology department of our hospital from January 2019 to October 2019. SPSS 20.0 software analyzed the correlation of spherical equivalent, diopter of cylindrical power and axial direction measured by two detection methods. Taking the clinical examination results as the control, the diagnostic value was compared.
RESULTS: There was no statistically significant difference in the measuring of spherical equivalent, diopter of cylindrical power and axial direction between digital and visual retinoscope and traditional retinography(t=0.081, 1.778, 0.983, P=0.935, 0.077, 0.327). And there was a significant positive correlation(r=0.745, 0.572, 0.941, P<0.01). At the same time, two detection methods have the same sensitivity. Digital and visual retinoscope higher than traditional retinography at the specificity, accuracy, positive predictivevalue and negative predictive value.
CONCLUSION: The detection of ametropia in adolescents with digital and visual retinoscope has a good correlation with traditional retinography. Compared with the latter, the former has improved for the diagnosis of ametropia, which deserves clinical attention.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the efficacy and safety of the Chinese herbal therapeutic regimen of activating blood circulation (TRABC) in treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH).
METHODSThis was a multi-center prospective randomized open-label blinded-endpoint (PROBE) trial with HICH admitted to 12 hospitals. Totally 240 participants were randomized to the treatment group treated with TRABC in addition to conventional Western treatment or the control group with conventional Western treatment equally for 3 months. Primary outcome was degree of disability as measured by modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Secondary outcomes were the absorption of hematoma and edema, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores and patient-reported outcome measures for stroke and Barthel activities of daily living index. Adverse events and mortality were also recorded.
RESULTSAfter 3 months of treatment, the rate of mRS 0-1 and mRS 0-2 in the treatment group was 72.5% and 80.4%, respectively, and in the control group 48.1% and 63.9%, respectively, with a significant difference between groups (P<0.01). Hematoma volume decreased significantly at day 7 of treatment in the treatment group than the control group (P=0.038). Average Barthel scores in the treatment group after treatment was 89.11±19.93, and in the control group 82.18±24.02 (P=0.003). NIHSS scores of the two groups after treatment decreased significantly compared with before treatment (P=0.001). Patient-reported outcomes in the treatment group were lower than the control group at day 21 and 3 months of treatment (P<0.05). There were 4 deaths, 2 in each group, and 11 adverse events, 6 in the treatment group and 5 in the control group.
CONCLUSIONThe integrative therapy combined TRABC with conventional Western treatment for HICH could promote hematoma absorption thus minimize neurologic impairment, without increasing intracerebral hematoma expansion and re-bleeding.

Recommendations for Chinese patent medicine (CPM) based on key information on rational drug use are one of the important conditions for enhancing guideline enforceability as well as facilitating guideline implementation. In this study, we discussed in detail of the key information on the rational use of CPM in five aspects, which are dosage, drug discontinuation, drug-drug and drug-food interactions, safety and economy. Following the process of multi-source search, synthesis and prioritization, it is suggested to collect key information on the rational use of CPM from a multi-source search of drug instructions, policy documents, literature, and clinical experts' experiences. Then the searched information should be summarized and prioritized with the principle that taking drug instructions as the basis and other-sources information for check and supplementation. Finally, methodological recommendations for the retrieval and synthesis of key information on rational drug use in guideline recommendations has been formed.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2020;36(2):111-116
Since December 2019, novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) has been reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and spreads rapidly to all through Hubei Province and even to the whole country. The virus is 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), never been seen previously in human, but all the population is generally susceptible. The virus spreads through many ways and is highly infectious, which brings great difficulties to the prevention and control of NCP. Based on the needs of orthopedic trauma patients for emergency surgery and review of the latest NCP diagnosis and treatment strategy and the latest principles and principles of evidence-based medicine in traumatic orthopedics, the authors put forward this expert consensus to systematically standardize the clinical pathway and protective measures of emergency surgery for orthopedic trauma patients during prevention and control of NCP and provide reference for the emergency surgical treatment of orthopedic trauma patients in hospitals at all levels.
