1.Modulating factors in the differentiation of stem cells:Present research and progress
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(36):-
Stem cell is a kind of cells characterized by self-renewal and multi-differentiation potential;its committed differentiation is the basis of development, growth and renewal in organisms.Recently interest in controlling the differentiation of stem cells is rapidly increasing. The common modulating factors in stem cell differentiation include transcription factors, growth factors and intercellular interactions mediated by membrane proteins. It is shown that the expression level of transcription factors may have important influence on the control, maintenance and recovery of stem cell properties. The latter two factors, growth factors and intercellular interactions, may play a key role in modulating the directional differentiation of stem cells exogenously. This review mainly introduces current research status about those modulating factors in stem cell differentiation.

How to select and organize the content of course is an important component in curriculum reform. The special part for medicine in medical physics has characteristics of medical college, and is essential. The integration of this part is difficulty in curriculum reform of medical physics. In detail, the corresponding part of physics for medicine is integrated into a topic, which followed the part of classical physics. We adopted the method of special-topic teaching. Based on teaching experiences and in combination with the practical condition of the medical college, this paper selects and recombines some course content for medicine from medical physics, which is adopted by five-year medical students. Furthermore, some teaching requirement and guidance suggestion are presented.
5.Effect of Living in Village on Atopic Sensitization of School-age Children
Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To explore whether living in rural areas may reduce the risk of atopic sensitization. Methods The standardized questionnaires were answered by the parents of 2 986 school children during 2004 to 2005. Radioallergosorbent technique-fluorescence enzyme immunoassay (RAST-FEIA) was used to determine the level of specific IgE in the serum of the children. The risk factors were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Compared with the subjects living in the towns from birth, the risk of atopic sensitization was lowest in the subjects living in the villages from birth (OR=0.32, 95%CI: 0.11-0.62) and it was moderate in the subjects who had relocated from village to town (OR=0.51, 95%CI: 0.28-0.92), there was a significant trend among them (P for trend

Journal of Environment and Health 1992;0(05):-
Determination of cyanide in water was performed by headspace gas chromatogaphy (HS GC).The determination of headspace gases produced by the reaction of cyanide and miamine in headspace container could be completed by HS GC on its first analysis. Some subjects, such as the interference from 22 kinds of common ions in water, the required amount of derivative agent, the selection and conditions of separation column were also studied in this assay. The results showed that the imported column could be replaced by GDX 102 column, which had perfect separation efficiency. The lowest detectable concentration and detection limit were 0.8 ?g/L and 0.040 ?g respectively. The calibration curve revealed linear relationship in the range of cyanide from 0 ?g/L to 20 ?g/L.The standard relative deviation and recovery rate were below 10% and 86%~107% respectively.Parameters metioned above in this assay presented no significant differences compared with national standard assay. It was suitable for analysis of the concentration of cyanide in drinking water due to its satisfactory accuracy and precision according with the requirement of sanitary analysis. It was a simple, rapid and practical analytical technique.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2012;32(1):141-5
The deficiency theories of dyslexia are quite contradictory and the cross-cultural studies in recent years mainly focused on whether the dyslexics among cultures shared the same cognitive profile or just based on the language. This study used Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) imaging to measure the regional cerebral blood volume (BV) and the changes of cerebral activation in the left prefrontal cortex of 12 Chinese dyslexic children and their 12 age-matched normal controls during the Paced Visual Serial Addition Test (PVSAT). Results showed that the scores of PVSAT of dyslexic children were significantly lower than those of the normal children (t=3.33, P<0.01). The activations of the left prefrontal cortex in the normal group were significantly greater than those of dyslexic children (all P<0.01). Our results indicated that Chinese dyslexia had a general deficiency in working memory and this may be caused by the abnormal metabolic activity of brain blood volume in the left prefrontal cortex and the deficits in brain function might be the basis of neuropathology of Chinese dyslexia. Present study supports the difference on brain activation of dyslexics from different languages may be caused by the same cognitive system related to reading.
