Objective To investigate the application of admission test as a medical management in the labor room. Methods Eight hundred and fifty singleton pregnant women underwent admission test in labor room at Women's Hospital,School of Medicine,Zhejiang University from Dec.2009 to Dec.2011 were enrolled into this study. They were divided into two groups:normal group (admission test was normal,n =658) and abnormal group (admission test was abnormal or undetermined,n =192).Deliveries and perinatal outcomes of them were observed. The difference between the two groups were compared with two independent sample t test and Chi-square test. Results There were no significant differences in the mean age at delivery of the women and mean birth weight of neonates between the two groups (all P>0.05).The cesarean section rate of normal group (34.2%,225/658) was lower than that (59.4%,114/192) of abnormal group (x2=3.93,P<0.05).The rates of prematurc rupture of membranes (72.4%,139/ 192),fetaldistress (42.2%,81/192),neonatal asphyxia (16.5%,27/192) and neonatal complications (31.8%,61/192) in abnormal group were significantly higher than those [31.0% (204/658),24.2% (159/ 658),0.2%(1/658) and 2.6% (17/658)] in normal group (x2 =105.78,40.84,52.54 and 151.92,P<0.01respectively).Conclusions Admission test is a good method to forecast placental function during labor and perinatal outcomes, which might play an important role in medical management in labor room.

Objective To observe the effects of Chinese medicine ingredient ginger phenol on expressions of IL-17 and IL-23 in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) rats;To investigate the role and mechanism of ginger phenol in CIA rats. Methods Forty female Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:blank group, model control group, ginger phenol treatment group and tripterygium glucosides control group. After CIA was established in rats successfully, ginger phenol treatment group and tripterygium glycosides control group were treated with ginger phenol and tripterygium glycosides by gavage, while the control group and model control group were fed with the same amount of saline. Four weeks after the treatment, the rats were collected serum and sacrificed. The pathological of CIA joint synovial was observed by electron microscope. The expressions of IL-17 and IL-23 in serum were detected by ELISA.Results The hyperplasia of synovial tissue and angiogenesis was reduced in gingerol phenol treatment group. Infiltration of inflammatory cells and edema was improved. IL-17 and IL-23 expressions of in serum of CIA rats were significantly higher than those of the blank group (P<0.01). Ginger phenol and tripterygium glycosides down-regulated the expressions of IL-23 and IL-17 (P<0.05,P<0.01). Ginger phenol group was better than that of tripterygium glycosides control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Chinese medicine ingredient ginger phenol can reduce expressions IL-17 and IL-23 in serum of CIA rats.

Objective To evaluate the biological potential of surface topography of biomimetic matrix combined PRP gels with RGD modification. Methods Surface topography of nβ-TCP/Cs/PCL matrix was made by Nd: YAG laser, tissue-engineered bone was constructed in the following ways: ADSCs were loaded to nβ-TCP/Cs/PCL matrix with PRP gels plus RGD modification (group A), ADSCs were cultured to nβ-TCP/Cs/PCL matrix with RGD modification (group B), ADSCs implantation with topography-surfaced treatment of matrix (group C), ADSCs cultivation with smooth-surfaced treatment of matrix (group D). SEM and CLM were used to observe cellular pattern, survival rate, cell activity, ALP and collagen type Ⅰ level were detected at 1, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24,28 days. Runx2 and OPG expressions were assayed at different interval. Results Under observation of SEM and CLM, new tissue showed more remarkable cell proliferation with abundant ECM in group A. Compared with other groups, the survival rate in group A was significantly higher (88.16 ± 1.29, P < 0.05),and the level of cell activity, ALP, collagen type Ⅰ were significantly higher (0.92± 0.13, 87.27 ± 3.08, 93.27 ± 3.91, P< 0.05), and remarkable expression of Runx2 and OPG was also seen. Conclusion Topography-surfaced treatment of matrix combined PRP gels with RGD modification enhances the cell proliferation and acts as a feasible osteopromotive method.

In this paper, the chloroplast psbK-psbI intergenic spacers of 18 species of Dendrobium and their adulterants were amplified and sequenced, and then the sequence characteristics were analyzed. The sequence lengths of chloroplast psbK-psbI regions of Dendrobium ranged from 474 to 513 bp and the GC contents were 25.4%-27.6%. The variable sites were 71 while the informative sites were 46. The inter-specific genetic distances calculated by Kimura 2-parameter (K2P) of Dendrobium were 0.006 1-0.058 1, with an average of 0.028 4. The K2P genetic distances between Dendrobium species and Bulbophyllum odoratissimum were 0.093 2-0.120 4. The NJ tree showed that the Dendrobium species can be easily differentiated from each other and 6 samples of the inspected Dendrobium species were identified successfully through sequencing the psbK-psbI intergenic spacer. Therefore, the chloroplast psbK-psbI intergenic spacer can be used as a candidate marker to identify Dendrobium species and its adulterants.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2013;15(10):1306-1310
Objective To explore the lipid metabolism in patients with hypertension and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome. Methods A total of 896 patients (655 cases of male; 241 cases of female) was recruited who were hospitalized in our department, and were classified into four groups based on the finding of polysomnography (PSG):hypertensive without obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAS) (n =243),hypertensive with mild OSAS (n =245),hypertensive with moderate OSAS (n =195),and hypertensive with severe OSAS (n =213).Multiple indices including apnea-hypopnea index (AHI),lowest arterial oxygen saturation(lowest SaO2),body mass index (BMI),blood pressure, total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLC),triglycerides (TG),fasting blood glucose(FBG),uric acid (UA),and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) were assessed, and the relevant risk factors of lipid metabolism were analyzed. Results (1)Male patients had more opportunities to suffer OSAS than female (P <0.01).Compared with the group without hypertensive, patients in severe OSAS group had higher levels of AGE (48.09 ± 9.48,BMI (29.46 ±3.83),AHI[45.90(37.55,63.65)],MSpO2 (89.08 ±4.93),LSpO2 (67.36 ± 12.60),TC (4.68 ±1.00),TG[2.03(1.54,2.88)],UA (371.85 ±99.29),and hs-CRP[1.43(0.82,3.056)] (P <0.05),and had lower levels of HDL-C (1.09 ± 0.28).(2) Two and more than two lipids abnormal metabolic indices increased prevalence with the increase of the severity of OSAS.(3)The prevalence of high TG,high TC in AHI ≥ 15/h was significantly higher than AHI < 15 group.(4) After adjustment for BMI,gender, age and other common risk factors,it confirmed that AHI was still related to lipid metabolism.AHI was an independent risk factor for abnormal lipid metabolism. Conclusions AHI was an independent risk factor for abnormal lipid metabolism. With increasing severity of OSAS,the levels TC,TG,and the category of abnormal lipid metabolism were also increased.
