Objective To investigate the voiding patterns of term and preterm newborns and whether voiding in term and preterm neonates was accompanied by any cortical arousal. Methods Between May 2013 and September 2013,64 hospitalized newborns at Neonatal Intensive Cave Unit in the Frist Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were recruited in this study. In these patients,31 cases were term newborns(20 male,11 female)and 33 cases were preterm newborns(19 male,14 female). The term and preterm newborns gestational ages at birth were(38. 2 ± 1. 2) weeks and(32. 1 ± 1. 6)weeks,weighted(3. 3 ± 0. 4)kg and(1. 7 ± 0. 3)kg,respectively and postnatal ages at study were[4 - 16(10. 5 ± 3. 6)]days and[4 - 16(11. 2 ± 3. 1)]days. The voiding volume(VV),post - void residual volumes(PRV),body movement rate and voiding frequency(VF)in 4 hours as well as the volume of milk and liquid fed at the same time frame were recorded and analyzed,retrospectively. At the same time electrocardiogram(ECG)and electroencephalogram(EEG)were recorded. The changes of heart rate(HR),EEG frequency,respiratory frequency (RF)during the 5 s period and 30 s before and after voiding onset were compared respectively. For cortical arousal definition the recommendations of the International Pediatric Work Group on Arousals(2005)were used. Results A total of 184 times of voiding were recorded. In preterm newborns,the VV and body movements rate were significantly lower compared with the term newborns[(21. 8 ± 7. 9)mL and(41 ± 21)% vs(26. 4 ± 8. 7)mL and(62 ± 19)% , t = 3. 75,4. 20,all P ﹤ 0. 05]. However,the VF and PRV were significantly higher in preterm newborns[(1. 7 ± 0. 9) mL and(3. 2 ± 1. 1)times vs(1. 2 ± 0. 7)mL and(2. 6 ± 0. 9)times,t = 2. 47,2. 38,all P ﹤ 0. 05]. Bladder voiding in these infants happened only during QS. In term newborns,HR frequency was higher during the 5 s interval before and after voiding onset when compared with the 30 s period before voiding onset[(152 ± 6)times/ min and(152 ± 5) times/ min vs(147 ± 6)times/ min,t = 5. 30,5. 76,all P ﹤ 0. 05]and the EEG frequency[(2. 6 ± 0. 1)Hz and (2. 6 ± 0. 1)Hz vs(1. 5 ± 0. 1)Hz,t = 70. 0,70. 0,all P ﹤ 0. 05]. While the HR and EEG frequency of preterm neo-nate was not changed before and after bladder voiding onset. The RF of both term and preterm neonates were not changed before and after bladder voiding onset. Conclusions The voiding patterns between term and preterm were sig-nificantly different and cortical arousal was found only in term neonates,which indicate the term newborns have better mature bladder function and development of nervous system.

Objective To investigate the level of health literacy of residents in Jing′an District of Shanghai, providing basis for the intervention programs of health literacy. Methods By using Probability Proportionate to Size Sampling method, 1 760 residents aged 15-69 were surveyed through face-to-face interviews. Results The overall level of adjusted health literacy of Jing′an District was 31.89%.The health literacy level of basic health concepts and knowledge, health lifestyle and behaviors, and health related skills were 46.30%, 27.02%, 43.44%, respectively.The 6 health issues regarding awareness of health literacy from high to low were safety and first aid (65.49%), scientific attitude towards health(60.75%), health information literacy(56.86%), chronic diseases prevention (34.22%), basic medical care(31.10%), and infectious diseases prevention (24.28%).People of 65-69 years old had the lowest health literacy level (χ²=22.03, P < 0.05).Those with collage degree or above had higher health literacy level (χ²=43.54, P < 0.05).In terms of occupation, civil servant had higher health literacy level(χ²=22.78, P < 0.05). Conclusion The level of health literacy in Jing′an District is on a steady rise, however, intensive intervention is needed for residents with lower health literacy.

Objective To investigate the effect of transcription factor specific protein5(Sp5)silencing on Wnt signaling pathway correlated factors and cell proliferation ability in mouse embryo palatal mesenchymal cells(mEPMCs).Methods mEPMCs of 14.5 d pregnant C57BL/6J mice were isolated and cultured in vitro.Cell source was identified by immunofluorescence staining.Lentivirus transfection technique was used to silence the expression of Sp5 gene in mEPMCs,and the transfection efficiency was verified by Western blot assay.Follow-up experiments were set up with the blank control group,the no-load virus group and the slience group(the Sp5-shRNA group).The protein and mRNA expression levels of β-catenin,GSK-3β,Wnt3a and CyclinD1 were detected by Western blot assay and RT-qPCR after transfection for 72 h in each group.Cell proliferation capacity was detected by CCK-8.The proliferation rate of 5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine(EdU)positive cells was detected by immunofluorescence assay.Cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry.Results mEPMCs were successfully isolated,and Sp5 expression was silenced.Western blot and RT-qPCR results showed that the protein and mRNA expressions of β-catenin,GSK-3β,Wnt3a and CyclinD1 were significantly higher in the Sp5-shRNA group than those in the blank control group and the no-loaded virus group(P<0.05).The proliferative ability and the proliferative rate of EdU positive cells were higher in the Sp5-shRNA group than those in the blank control group and the no-loaded virus group(P<0.05).The proportion of mEPMCs in S phase was higher in the Sp5-shRNA group than that in the blank control group and the no-loaded virus group(P<0.05).Conclusion Sp5 in silenced mEPMCs can participate in palate development and promote the proliferation of mEPMCs by regulating Wnt signaling pathway.

Objective To evaluate the effect of targeted monitoring and multi-modular improvement strategy on the prevention and control of catheter-associated urinary tract infection(CAUTI).Methods Patients with indwe-lling urinary catheter in a tertiary first-class hospital from January 2018 to December 2022 were selected as the re-search subjects.Targeted monitoring results and distribution of pathogenic bacteria in 5 consecutive years were ana-lyzed,and a multi-modular improvement strategy based on the targeted monitoring results was implemented.The occurrence of CAUTI before and after implementation,status and effectiveness of training in prevention and control measures were compared respectively.Results Before and after the implementation of the multi-modular improve-ment strategy,health care workers'compliance rate of hand hygiene,awareness rate of prevention and control measures,and implementation rate of prevention and control measures all increased significantly(all P＜0.001).Targeted monitoring results showed that daily test rates of urine culture and routine urine from patients with in-dwelling catheters have been on the rise in 5 consecutive years(P＜0.05).A total of 397 cases of CAUTI occurred in the past 5 years.Incidences of CAUTI in general intensive care unit(ICU)and surgical ICU showed decreasing trends in 5 consecutive years(all P＜0.05).Incidence of CAUTI in general wards showed no statistically significant difference in 5 years(P=0.088).A total of 431 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected,mainly Gram-negative bacteria.Daily incidence of multidrug-resistant organism infection in patients with indwelling catheters was 0.12‰.After the implementation of the multi-modular improvement strategy,incidence of CAUTI in all departments re-duced significantly(P＜0.05).Conclusion Targeted monitoring can help identify departments with high-risk of CAUTI,multi-modular improvement strategy can raise the quality of prevention and control of CAUTI in all occa-sions,reduce the incidence of CAUTI,and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.

OBJECTIVE To assess the association of copy number variations (CNVs) in chromosome 17q with the overall survival(OS) of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC), and to screen for target genes contained in the OS-related CNVs. METHODS A total of 174 HCC cases were enrolled. For 66 patients, the follow-up data was available. High-resolution Agilent Hu-244A array comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) and Affymetrix U133 Plus 2.0 expression arrays were used to detect CNVs and gene expression of genes from the 17q region, respectively. The association of CNVs and OS was assessed with Log-rank test, Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, and Cox proportional hazards models. The gene expression in HCCs with 17q gain, HCCs without, and non-tumor liver tissues were compared with a Mann-Whitney U test. RESULTS Univariate association analysis showed that copy number gain in 17q25.1-25.3 was significantly associated with reduced OS (Log-rank test, P = 0.00002), and HCC cases with 17q25.1-25.3 gain had a 4.76-fold (95%CI: 2.31-9.81) increased hazard ratio (HR) for death from HCC, as compared to those without the gain. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression model revealed 17q25.1-25.3 gain to be an independent prognostic marker for poor OS (HR = 3.17, 95%CI: 1.39-7.26, P = 0.006). The expression levels of 18 genes in 17q25.1-25.3 including SLC9A3R1, GRB2, and TK1 were significantly increased in HCCs with gain than in those without (all P < 0.01) and non-tumor liver tissues (all P < 0.01). CONCLUSION The association of 17q25.1-25.3 gain with reduced OS has indicated that it is a prognostic marker for poor patient survival in HCC, for which SLC9A3R1, GRB2, and TK1 are candidate genes.

Objective To explore the effect of aripiprazole combined with risperidone on serum prolactin and glucolipid metabolism in male patients with schizophrenia. Methods A total of 113 male patients with schizophrenia who were treated with risperidone in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from October 2016 to May 2017 were select-ed. The patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group. Fifty-nine patients in the control group were given risperidone 4 - 6 mg·d - 1 orally,while fifty-four patients in the observation group were given risperidone 4 - 6 mg·d - 1 combined with aripiprazole 10 mg·d - 1 orally,the course of treatment was 8 weeks. The serum prolactin(PRL)levels were measured before treatment and at 2,4,8 weeks after treatment. Positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS)was used to eval-uated the psychiatric symptoms in the two groups before treatment and at 4,8 weeks after treatment. The levels of fasting plas-ma glucose(FPG),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL),high density lipoprotein(HDL), body mass index(BMI)were measured in the two groups before treatment and at 4,8 weeks after treatment. Results A total of 113 patients completed the experiment,with 53 cases in the observation group and 59 cases in the control group. There was no significant difference in the level of PRL,FPG,TC,TG,HDL,LDL and the total score,positive symptom score,negative symptom score,general pathologic score of PANSS and BMI between the two groups before treatment(P > 0. 05). At 2,4,8 weeks after treatment,the level of PRL in the control group was higher than that before treatment(P < 0. 05),and in the obser-vation group it was lower than that before treatment(P < 0. 05). Compared between any two time points,there was significant difference in the PRL level at 2,4,8 weeks after treatment in the two groups(P < 0. 05). Compared with the control group,the level of PRL in the treatment group was significantly lower at 2,4,8 weeks after treatment (P < 0. 01). The total score,positive symptom score,negative symptom score,general pathologic score of PANSS in the two groups at 4,8 weeks after treatment were lower than those before treatment and at 4 weeks after treatment (P < 0. 05). The total score,positive symptom score,negative symptom score,general pathologic score of PANSS in the two groups at 8 weeks after treatment were lower than those at 4 weeks after treatment(P < 0. 05). The total score,negative symptom score,general pathologic score of PANSS in the observation group at 4,8 weeks after treatment were lower than those in the control group(P < 0. 05),but there was no significant difference in the positive symptom score of PANSS between the two groups at 4,8 weeks after treatment(P > 0. 05). There was no significant difference in the level of FPG,TC,TG,HDL,LDL and BMI in the control group at 4,8 weeks after treatment compared with that before treatment(P > 0. 05). There was no significant difference in the level of FPG,TC,TG,HDL,LDL and BMI in the observation group at 4 weeks after treatment compared with that before treatment(P > 0. 05). There was no significant differ-ence in the level of FPG,TC,TG,HDL in the observation group at 8 weeks after treatment compared with that before treatment and at 4 weeks after treatment(P > 0. 05). But the level of LDL and BMI in the observation group at 8 weeks after treatment were lower than those before treatment and at 4 weeks after treatment(P < 0. 05). There was no significant difference in the level of FPG,TC,TG,HDL,LDL and BMI between the observation group and the control group at 4 weeks after treatment(P >0. 05). There was no significant difference in the level of FPG,TC,TG,HDL between the observation group and the control group at 8 weeks after treatment (P > 0. 05). But the level of LDL and BMI in the observation group at 8 weeks after treatment were lower than those in the control group(P < 0. 05). At 8 weeks after treatment,the incidence rate of akathisia,thirst,somno-lence,tremor,nausea and salivation in the control group was 5. 08％,10. 16％,10. 16％,15. 25％,6. 77％,11. 86％,respec-tively;the incidence rate of akathisia,thirst,somnolence,tremor,nausea and salivation in the observation group was 3. 70％, 14. 81％,9. 25％,16. 67％,11. 11％,9. 26％,respectively. Conclusion Risperidone combined with aripiprazole in the treatment of male schizophrenia patients is beneficial to reduce the level of serum high PRL induced by risperidone and to improve lipid metabolism.

Objective To compare the clinical effect of endoscopic thyroidectomy and open thyroidectomy in the treat-ment of benign thyroid diseases. Methods A total of 120 patients with benign thyroid diseases were selected from March 2015 to June 2017 in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University. The patients were divided into endoscopic opera-tion group(n = 62)and open operation group(n = 58)according to the treatment methods. The patients in the open operation group were treated with conventional open thyroidectomy,and the patients in the endoscopic operation group were treated with endoscopic thyroidectomy. The operation time,intraoperative bleeding volume,postoperative drainage volume and hospitalization time were recorded in the two groups;and the intraoperative and postoperative complications were observed. The pain of the pa-tients in the two groups was evaluated by visual analogue scale(VAS)at the time points of 6,12 and 24 hours after operation. The cosmetic satisfaction of the patients in the two groups was evaluated by numerical scoring system(NSS)at the time points of 1 and 3 months after operation. Results The operation time and hospitalization time in the endoscopic operation group were significantly shorter than those in the open operation group(P < 0. 05),and the intraoperative bleeding volume and postopera-tive drainage volume in the endoscopic operation group were significantly lower than those in the open operation group(P <0. 05). The VAS score of pain in the endoscopic operation group was significantly lower than that in the open operation group at the time points of 6,12 and 24 hours after operation(P < 0. 05). The NSS score in the endoscopic operation group was sig-nificantly higher than that in the open operation group at the time points of 1 and 3 months after operation(P < 0. 05). The in-cidence of complications in the endoscopic operation group and the open operation group was 12. 90％(8 / 62)and 39. 66％(23 / 58)respectively,the incidence of complications in the endoscopic operation group was significantly lower than that in the open operation group(χ2 = 11. 210,P < 0. 05). Conclusion Endoscopic thyroidectomy is reliable in the treatment of benign thyroid diseases. It has the advantages of small trauma,short operation time,quick recovery,light postoperative pain,small sur-gical scar and fewer complications and so on.

Objective: The goal of this research was to understand the demographic distribution and related factors of non-marital and non-commercial heterosexual transmission (non-commercial transmission) for HIV/AIDS (human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Methods: Data related to HIV/AIDS infected by non-marital heterosexual transmission and whose present address was in Qian Dongnan, were collected from Information System on the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control. Information included demographic characteristics, the members of non-marital sex partners, transmission path, detection source, CD4⁺T lymphocyte level, et al. cases belong to homosexual history, injective drug use or non-classified non-marital heterosexuality transmission were excluded, totally collect HIV/AIDS 919 cases. Multivariate logistic regressions were used to analyze potential factors associated with non-marital and non-commercial heterosexual transmission. In addition, in March and June 2017, using a convenience sampling, we conducted one-to-one interviews among 10 HIV/AIDS who were infected by non-marital heterosexuality and had non-marital and non-commercial heterosexual experience in Kaili Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The content of the interview included basic information, sexual orientation, the main place of making friends and sexual behavior, attitude to commercial heterosexuality and non-martial and non-commercial heterosexuality and so on. Results: Out of the 919 cases, 645 (70.2%) were male, the proportion of non-commercial transmission was 55.06% (506). The proportion of female HIV/AIDS with non-commercial transmission was 84.7% (232), which was higher than male (42.5%(274)) (χ²=138.35, P<0.001). The proportion of Han HIV/AIDS with non-commercial transmission was 61.5% (275), which was higher than other religion (52.2%(412)) (χ²=6.32, P=0.012). The proportion of HIV/AIDS with non-commercial transmission who had 0-5 non-marital sexual partners was 58.8% (498), which was higher than who had>5 non-marital sexual partners (11.1%(8)) (χ²=61.10, P<0.001). The proportion of HIV/AIDS with non-commercial transmission who lived mobile was 72.9% (94), which was higher than who lived fixedly (52.2%(412)) (χ²=19.34, P<0.001). Qualitative interviews results revealed that the age of the respondents were 22-69. Respondents whose ages are in 22-34 were more likely to use mobile phone (4/10) and respondents whose ages are in 35-69 were less likely to look partners through party and the context of working. Conclusion The proportion of cases being infected by non-marital and non-commercial heterosexual transmission in Qian dongnan was higher than general national levels. The characteristics of sex, marriage status, migration, vocation, the members of non-marital sex partners were significant differed between commercial heterosexual transmission and non-marital and non-commercial heterosexual transmission.
