3.Factors of resilience of primary caregivers of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
Modern Clinical Nursing 2016;15(6):5-10
Objective To investigate the resilience of primary caregivers of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and explore the influencing factors. Methods General information questionnaire and Cornor-Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC) were used in the survey among 173 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy as well as their primary caregivers. Results The score of resilience of primary caregivers was (70.76 ±13.34), at middle or above level. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that caregivers'resilience was affected by gender, age, family income and religious belief (all P<0.05). Conclusion The resilience among primary caregivers of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy is at a relatively high level. Clinically, we should pay more attention to female and young patients with lower family income and no religious beliefs.

By using traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system to analyze the dominant experience and recessive principles of the prescriptions for stranguria in the dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine prescription (DCMP), we aim to define the medication pattern and rule and to acquire new prescriptions. In dominant experience analysis, we were able to find 22 drugs used over 50 times, including drugs of clearing heat, diuresis and relieving stranguria which are the most used and drugs of clearing heat, cooling blood, benefiting Qi and nourishing Yin. In addition, drugs of activating Qi and Xue, eliminating phlegm and removing toxic are often used, including 34 herb pairs and 5 combinations of three-taste drugs are used more than 35 times. These results fully reflect the composition principles and compatibility characteristic of prescriptions for treating stranguria in DCMP. Thirteen new prescriptions by way of recessive principle excavating were acquired. These new prescriptions might be suitable to clinical treatments of variable syndromes. This article provides an useful clue to research and produce new drugs.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
To investigate the behavior of meniscal fibrocartilage cells in vitro ,human meniscal fibrocartilage cells were harvested from adolescents and sequentially digestied with 0 50% trypsin and 0 2% collagenase (type2). The isolated cells were cultured in Ham'sF 12 medium and identified by histochemical methods. Cell proliferation, morphology and ultrastructure were observed by phase contrast microscope and electronic microscope. In primarily cultured cells, fusiform cells dominated and they were confirmed by the positive result of immunohistochemical examination for type collagen staining. Our results indicate that it is a simple and highly effective method.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(07):-
More and more interest has been put on the investigations of saccharides recent years. Saccharides have a vast number of bioactivities and the immunomodulating effect of saccharides is one of the important mechanisms via which saccharides exert their bioactivities. Saccharides exert their bioactivities mainly by interacting with all kinds of saccharide receptors on cells, followed by a series of signal transduction process. In the present paper, numerous saccharide receptors and the characters of the mutual interaction between saccharides and their receptors are summarized.

Objective To study the role of aminophylline in COPD patients undergoing abdominal surgery under general anesthesia. Methods A total of 60 COPD patients who received the upper abdominal surgery under general anesthesia were randomly assigned as regular treatment group (control,n=30) and aminophylline group (aminophylline,n=30).The aminophylline group was intravenously injected aminophylline (2mg/kg) after intubation, and the same volume of saline was injected for the control group. The respiratory mechanics, serum cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-8 (IL-8) and interleukin-10(IL-10),recovery time and adverse cardiovascular events were measured. Results The general conditions, including gender, age, weight, smoking status, lung function,GOLD standard, surgical site, operation time and anesthetic time had no statistically significant differences between the two groups.During general anesthesia, aminophylline decreased the peak airway pressure(15 minutes,t=9.220,P=0.047),the plate airway pressure(15 minutes,t=5.906,P=0.025) and the airway resistance(15 minutes,t=10.438,P=0.04).Aminophylline increased the respiratory compliance(15 minutes,t=-7.431,P=0.001).Aminophylline attenuated the increase of inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α(8 hours,t=6.374,P=0.000),IL-8(8 hours,t=7.716,P=0.000) and hsCRP(8 hours,t=6.665,P=0.000).Aminophylline shortened the time to spontaneous ventilation(t=3.439,P=0.001),opening eyes(t=3.516,P=0.001),limb movement(t=6.249,P=0.000) and extubation (t=3.159,P=0.003).Administration of aminophylline had no obvious adverse effects on blood pressure and heart rate. Conclusion Administration of aminophylline for COPD patients undergoing abdominal surgery under general anesthesia can improve respiratory mechanics, downregulate inflammatory cytokines, accelerate recovery after general anesthesia and possess no obvious adverse cardiovascular effects, which is worthy of popularization.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2007;32(8):823-825
Objective Valsartan, the angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor blocker, is recently proved to reduce urinary albumin at the microalbuminuria stage in human diabetic nephropathy without altering glucose metabolism. But the pathway is still uncertain. In present study, we examined the changes of adrenomedullin receptor (ADMR) mRNA and protein expressions in the renal cortex of diabetic rats to investigate the protective effects of valsartan on an experimental model of diabetic renal injury. Method The SD rats were randomly divided into following groups: normal rats, STZ-induced diabetic rats, and diabetic rats treated with valsartan. STZ-induced diabetic rats were treated with valsartan (10mg/kg body weight) or vehicle for 8 weeks. The expressions of ADMR mRNA in renal cortex were analyzed by RT-PCR, as well as ADMR protein expressions were detected through western blot. Results We found (1) Valsartan treatments reduced urinary albumin excretion in 24h, compared with the untreated. But no notable difference was seen in HbA1c and blood sugar of diabetic rats between the two groups. (2) Valsartan treatments increased the expressions of ADMR mRNA and protein in diabetic rats renal cortex. Conclusion These results indicate that valsartan treatment can upgrade the expressions of ADMR in the renal cortex of diabetic rats. It may be one of renal protective pathways of Ang Ⅱ type 1 receptor blocker.
