1.Relations of matrix metalloproteinases and tumor microenvironment
Journal of International Oncology 2008;35(11):810-812
Matrix metalloproteases(MMPs)and tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteases(TIMPs) have a co-regulation of changes of the extraeellular matrix(ECM).MMPs can control the proteases which are related to the process of tumor development. Moreover,MMPs,produced by host cells including inflammatory ceUs,endothelial cells, pericytes and fibroblasts have a positive or negative correlation with tumor formation.
3.Advance in Relationship between Migraine and Cardiac Right-to-left Shunts (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2014;(4):344-346
The pathogenesis of migraine is not fully understood as yet. Recently, with the development of ultrasonography, some stud-ies indicated that the prevalence of right-to-left shunt (RLS) seemed to be higher in migraine, especially in migraine with aura. The progress in the relationship between migraine and RLS was reviewed.
4.Effect of high glucose on the expression of activating transcription factor 4 in cultured retinal Müller glia cells
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2012;28(5):498-500
Objective To observe the effect of high glucose on the expression of activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4) in cultured retinal Müller glia cells. Methods The retinal tissue of Sprague Dawley (SD) rats was collected, and Müller cells were isolated and cultured. The glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and glutamine synthetase (GS) of Müller cells were identified by streptavidin-biotinperoxidase complex.Cultured rat Müller cells were divided into control group (5.5 mmol/L glucose),group A (20 mmol/L glucose),group B (30 mmol/L glucose) and group C (40 mmol/L glucose).ATF4 protein expressions in Müller cells of four groups were measured by Western blot four days after cultured. Results GFAP and GS expressed in more than 95% of Müller cells.Over 95% of Müller cells of group A,B and C were positive for GFAP and GS.Western blots indicated that ATF4 protein in group A,B and C increased obviously compared with the control group (q=0.293,0.754,0.484; P<0.05).Conclusion High glucose can increase the expression of ATF4 protein and cause endoplasmic reticulum stress in retinal Müller glia cells in vitro.
5.Effect evaluation of taking blood gas via cephalic artery for infant: A Meta-analysis
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2014;30(22):58-60
Objective To give a systematic reviews on effect of taking blood gas via cephalic artery for infants. Methods Meta-analysis were used to analyze literatures about taking blood gas via cephalic artery for infants. Results 11 studies were included. The rate of successful puncture was 87.5%~98.0% in the intervention group and 55.3% ~94.6% in the control group. The rate of successful puncture via cephalic artery were higher. Conclusions Effect of taking blood gas via cephalic artery for infant was better than that via other artery.Successful rate was high, while the incidence rate of local side effects was low.
6.Two regimes of transient intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2008;7(2):86-89
Objective To evaluate two regimes of transient intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with severe hyperglycemia. Methods Sixty-eight newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with fasting plasma glucose(FPG)≥10.0 mmol/L and glycated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)≥8.0%were randomized to either cantinuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII)group or multiple daily injection(MDI)group.Glycemic control, daily dose of insulin, body mass index(BMI),the mean area under the insulin curve(AUC),β-cell function(HOMA-β)and insulin resistence(HOMA-IR) were compared before and after treatment. Results There were no significant differences between two groups in days reaching glycemic control and BMI.The maximal insulin dose for glycemic control in CSII group was(0.53±0.06)U·kg-1·d-1 and that in MDI group was(0.71±0.04)U·kg-1·d-1(t= 11.100,P<0.01).After CSII and MDI treatment,HOMA-β and the mean AUC of insulin were significantly increased(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).No significant changes in HOMA-IR were observed before and after treatment or between two groups. There were no severe hypoglycemic episodes in two groups and mild hypoglycemic episodes were 0.34%(13/3806)in CSII group and 1.09%(44/4045)in MDI group. Conclusions The excellent glycemic control can be reached by short.terra CSII and MDI treatment in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients with severe hyperglycemia.Lower insulin dose and less mild hypoglycemic episodes seem to be the advantage of CSII regime than MDI regime.β-cell function can be dramatically improved in both therapy regimes.
7.Vascular endothelial growth factor and remedial angiogenesis
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(10):675-678
Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is the endothelial cell-specific mitogen, facili-tates endothelial cell proliferation, increases vascular permeability and accelerates the formation of new blood vessels role. Angiogenesis is an important physiological and pathological significance of the process. In the human wound healing, inflammation, organ regeneration and tumor growth and metastasis, vascular prolifer-ative diseases, angiogenesis is an important role. Therapeutic angiogenesis is the use of inducible factor or vascular endothelial progenitor ceils, simulates in vivo angiogenesis mechanism, promotes angiogenesis and improves the collateral circulation. In this paper, VEGF and therapeutic ansiogenesis research progress were reviewed.
8.Investigation and Analysis of Informed Consent in Assisted Reproductive Technology Institutions
Chinese Medical Ethics 2015;(4):645-647
Objective:To investigate and analyze of informed consent in assisted reproductive technology ( ART) institutions, understand the status and problems.Improve the content and methods of informed consent. Methods:A questionnaire was investigated for the medical staffs and patients anonymously in ART institutions. Results:The implementation of informed consent need to be improved.Medical staffs protect the patient privacy inadequately. The patients also not pay attention to the informed consent.Medical staffs look forward to ethics training. Conclusions:The current situation of informed consent is not optimistic in ART institutions. The ethics training need to be strengthen to improve the awareness of medical staffs about informed consent. The content and methods of informed consent should be standardized, and explore the evaluation methods to enhance the effect of in-formed consent.
9.The general situation of climacteric syndrome treated with traditional Chinese medicine
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;37(12):1141-1144
Climacteric syndrome is a common clinical disease with high incidence. The understanding of the disease is progressing in recent years. This article collects thirty-seven documents in this field in recent eight years. The pathogenesis of climacteric syndrome is divided into two aspects as the deficiency of the kidney and the imbalance of the liver, the spleen and the heart. It also sums up the therapy of climacteric syndrome from this two aspects. At last, the authors propose that we should pay attention to the importance of the liver, the spleen and the heart in both the pathogenesis and the therapy.
10.Advances in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
International Journal of Pediatrics 2016;43(5):377-381
Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic non-specific intestinal tract inflammation, currently, its etiology and pathogenesis are not clear. The current conventional treatments include salicylic acid drugs, steroids, immunosuppressive agents, biological agents and surgery, but the prognosis is still not very optimistic. In recent years, a variety of other treatment options have emerged, such as anti-cytokine antibody, anti-chemokine antibodies.Clinicians pay more attention to treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.
