2.Investigation of Clinical Use of Xingnaojing Injections in Inpatients
Herald of Medicine 2017;36(1):84-87
Objective To investigate the application of xingnaojing injections ( XNJI) in inpatients and further provide a reference for the rational drug use. Methods The retrospective investigation was carried out by reviewing 186 hospitalization records with XNJI from a certain hospital from January 2014 to June 2015. The usage, dosage, and indication of XNJI were analyzed. Results Unlabeled use of XNJI was found in the neurology department inpatients. 59. 7% inpatients were treated with overdosed XNJI, and 13. 4% were treated with a single drug dose of 40 mL. The inappropriate solvent selection accounted for 49. 5%. Compatibility of XNJI and western medicine injection accounted for 54. 8%. It was also found that XNJI was used together with potassium chloride in clinic (47. 8%). Conclusion There exist some irrational uses of XNJI in clinic, thus the use and management of traditional Chinese medicine injections should be standarized.
3.Development and Design of Diffusion Optical Tomography System
Space Medicine & Medical Engineering 2006;0(04):-
Objective To design and establish a set of diffusion optical tomography(DOT) system. Methods Near-infrared(NIR) laser was employed as the light source and only one photomultiplier tube(PMT) as the detector. An optical multiplexer was used to alter the detector channels. The 32 channels of the system, which are consisted of 16 launch channels and 16 detector channels, worked under the continuous-wave(CW) model and were used to acquire 256 boundary data. Results Experiments were performed based on the proposed imaging system. The intralipid was used as the tissue-like medium and the India ink as the absorber. Two sets of data on the boundary were sampled, respectively, before and after the absorber was embedded inside the tissue-like medium. The two sets of data were normalized and then used to reconstruct the absorption coefficient distribution. The recovered image reflected the real location and size of the absorber. Conclusion The proposed imaging platform can image the tissue optical parameters effectively. However the resolution of the reconstructed image was not high because the inverse problem was gravely underdetermined and the noise was not considered in the reconstruction algorithm. The recovered result in the next generation system could be improved by making more use of prior information and enhancing the performance of the system.
4.Effects of Individualized Enteral Nutritional Support on Nutritional Status and Complications in Severe Stroke Patients
China Pharmacist 2017;20(7):1265-1267
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effect of individualized enteral nutritional (EN) support in severe stroke patients. Methods: Totally 120 severe stroke patients with nutritional risk were divided into two groups according to single or double admission number. The 60 patients in the intervention group received an individualized EN with different formula and concentrations according to the clinical status, and supplemented trace elements as occasion required. In the routine group, the patients received EN with standard formula. The energy supply was 83-125 kJ· kg-1·d-1 in both groups.Blood albumin(Alb), pre-albumin(PA), hemoglobin(Hb) and vitamin C(VC) were examined before and after the 21-day nutritional support. The lung infection and gastrointestinal (GI) complications were observed, and the hospital stay and cost were recorded as well. Results: After 21 day''s nutrition support, the serum levels of Alb, PA and VC in the intervention group were not statisticly significant than before (P>0.05), and the serum levels of Alb, PA and VC were significantly higher than those in the routine group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the in the intervention group was lower than that in the routine group (P<0.05), and the length of hospital stay and hospitalization was shorter than that in the routine group (P<0.05).Conclusion: Individualized enteral nutritional support can significantly improve nutritional status, reduce inflammation reactions and GI complications in severe stroke patients, which is worthy of clinical use.

7.Effects of ?-lipoic acid on cerebral IRE1 expression induced by sleep deprivation in rats
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1985;0(05):-
Objective:To observe the influences of sleep deprivation and antioxidant agent ?-lipoic acid on the expression of IRE1 in the cortex and hippocampus in rats. Methods:Rats were randomly divided into control groups and sleep deprivation group. The control groups included blank control group(n=10) and environmental control group(n=10).Sleep deprivation group included 120 rats, and rats were further divided into ?-lipoic acid group(25 mg?kg-1?d-1) and sleep deprivation model group. The two were further divided into 6 groups according to the periods of sleep deprivation and sleep restoration(SD 1 d,SD 3 d,SD 5 d,SD 7 d,SD 7 d/RS 6 h,SD 7 d/RS 12 h[n=10]).The expression of IRE1 mRNA and protein was examined by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry,respectively.Results:RT-PCR results showed that the expression of IRE1 mRNA in the cortex and hippocampus were significantly higher in sleep deprivation group than in the blank and environmental control groups(P
8.Acromegaly and Hypertension
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(10):-
Acromegaly is a rare clinical endocrine disorder related to systematic complications such as cardiovascular, respiratory and metabolic disorders which determine its prognosis.Hypertension is the main complication resulting in the increased frequency of morbidity. The mechanism of hypertension in acromegaly is still no real consensus. In this review,we examine the prevalence and danger of hypertension in acromegalic patients and discuss the clinical and experimental mechanisms on the cardiovascular system in order to define the possible pathogenetic factors involved in the development and/or maintenance of high arterial blood pressure in acromegaly. The modern object of acromegalic treatment is normalization of morbidity and the treatment of pituitary tumor involve surgery, medication and radiation.Besides, blood pressure control is also demanded. The lowering of blood pressure observed in a proportion of hypertensive acromegalics, and the normalization of serum GH and IGF-1 level is of great importance.
9.THE CONTENTS AND DISTRIBUTION OF MATRIX METALLPROTEINASE IN RAT ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSMS
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(09):-
To investigate the contents and distribution of matrix metallproteinases(MMP) in abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA) on protein level, forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups, the rats of experimental group were perfused with pancreatic elastase in the isolated abdominal aorta to construct the model of AAA. Laparotomy was preformed on the 14th day after operation, the aortas were measured and harvested. The rats of control group were operated with the aortas harvested immediately. Immunohistochemical staining and computer image analysis were performed to analyze the contents and distribution of MMP 2 and MMP 9. The aortic diameter progressed to aneurysmal dimension in the experimental group. Immunohistochemistry study revealed that the MMP contents in AAA exceeded that in normal aorta obviously. The MMP 2 cotents in AAA tunica media were higher than MMP 9. It is suggested that MMP 2 plays the main role in extracellular matrix degradation of AAA tunica media.
10.PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF POSTOPERATIVE COMPLICATIONS OF LOWER EXTREMITY AMPUTATION FOR ARTERIOSCLEROSIS OBLITERANS
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(09):-
To investigate the prevention and management of postoperative complications of lower extremity amputation for arterial occlusive diseases, a retrospective analysis was made in 18 lower extremity amputations which were performed on 14 patients from Jan 1996 to Dec 1999. The mean age of the patients was 72. Before opeoation,78 6% of the patients were complicated with coronary artery disease, 69.9% with high blood pressure and 78.6% with diabetes mellitus, 43.4% with vascular reconstruction history. 6 above the knee amputations, 7 below the knee amputations, 1 hemiterpene amputation and 4 amputations of the toes were performed. Postoperative myocardial infarction occarred in 2 cases, gangrene of the stump in 3 cases and infection in 1 case, the total incidence rate of complication was 33%. The results showed that lower extremity amputation is not a complex operation, but preoperative estimation of the level of amputation and postoperative intensive care can reduce the postoperative rate of complication.
