1.Feasibility Study on Purchasing Multi-slice Helical Computed Tomography Scanner System for Pediatric Hospital

In order to select a computed tomography(CT)scanner system with reasonable cost performance (performance-price ratio) among various brands and types of CT products in accordance with the clinical features of the pediatric patients, Tianjin Children's Hospital made a feasibility study on purchasing the equipment in all its aspects, including the evaluation of its type and performance, social and economic benefits, and eventually purchased a 16-slice helical CT scanner which fully fulfills the practical needs of the hospital. This way of evaluation can be widely used in the feasibility study for purchasing different large-scale medical equipment to avoid unnecessary waste of funds.
2.Clinical progress of the standard treatment of cervical cancer

In recent years,the efficacy of cervical cancer treatment has been increasing gradually.It has got a basic consensus of the standard treatment mode for most cervical cancer,but further effort should be done to improve the treatment response of locally advanced cervical cancer and recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer.The efect of redical surgery and radiotherpy is the same to early cervical cancer.Concurrent chemoradiotherapy is the standard treatment for patients with locally advanced cervical cancer.Chemotherapy combined with antiangiogenic targeted therapy can improve the survival of patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer,while whether needing new adjuvant therapy or not,it asks for further investigation.

After Achilles tendon (AT) rupture operation,traditional gypsum immobilization must lead to AT in a condition of a tension-free or even "disuse"-negative balance healing system,which may inhibit the key opportunity of AT healing process to induce "active" mechanical signals stimulation,and AT "passively or intermittently" accepts the mechanical stimulation even applying the ultrasound,vibration and other mechanical stimulation to AT in the course of treatment. If using the method of active movement after operation,it can accelerate the AT healing,maintain function and promote re-construction of the AT,thereby help to restore the biomechanical properties of AT. Using proteomics techniques can reveal the mechanical signal transduction mechanisms of kinesiatrics promoting the AT healing in the high-throughput molecular level.

Positron emission tomography(PET) plays an important role in the research of substance distribution in Human body. The distribution of substance in whole body is carried out by the transport via circulation system and exchange between blood and tissue which occurs in microvascular. Both the research of PET and of microvascular are focused on the transport and exchange of substance in human body. So it should be meaningful to apply PET image to the research of microvascular, and to use the microvascular theory to improve on the analysis of PET image. 8.HPLC fingerprint analysis of Radix Ophiopogonis

AIM: To establish chromatography fingerprint of Radix Ophiopogonis. METHODS: HPLC was applied on a Kromasil C_(18) column(5 ?m,4.6 mm?250 mm) with CH_3CN-0.01%H_3PO_4 solution by gradient elution,flow-rate of 1.0 mL/min,and the UV absorbance was monitored at 297 nm. RESULTS: 30 common peaks were picked up. CONCLUSION: This method is reliable,simple and provides a reference standard for the quality control of Radix Ophiopogonis.
9.Telomere length and chronic compartment syndrome in the lumbosacral region

BACKGROUND: There is a close correlation between telomere length and cell senescence, immortalization or canceration. OBJECTIVE: To explore the significance of telomere length diversifies in the chronic compartment syndrome in lumbosacral region. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A comparative observation was performed at the State-Level Key Medical Genomics Laboratory, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine from July 2007 to February 2008. PARTICIPANTS: The vertical spinal muscular tissue samples were taken from people aged 29-49 years old [mean aged (34.7?12.6) years] including 10 normal people and 15 patients with chronic compartment syndrome. According to the age, the normal were divided into the aged 30-37, and aged 38-45 groups. The abnormal were divided into aged 29-34, aged 35-43 and aged 44-49 groups, with 5 samples in each group. METHODS: DNA was extracted from samples of each group. Telomere length in vertical organizations spinal muscular skeletal muscle was measured by Southen Blotting hybrid technology. Shenghua decoction made by FU Qing-zhu is a famous formula aimed at syndrome of coagulation cold due to blood deficiency,static blood obstruction.The mechanism of disease is definite when this formula is applied.But the extensive use of Shenghua decoction,especially some potent preparation of it following childbirth without according to TCM principle based on differentiation of syndromes is a manifestation of highlighting formula and underestimating theory,which is useless and harmful.It should be emphasized.So the Shenghua decoction should be used under the direction of basic theory of TCM,through precise syndrome differentiation,according to the principle of "looking to and not being besieged by postpartum ".We should not follow blindly the method of treatment of "warming and resolving stasis" on the postpartum disease.It is important that Shenghua decoction should be used on the basis of syndrome differentiation.
