Objective To evaluate the value of detecting abnormal lymphocyte morphology in peripheral blood and Epstein Barr Virus(EBV)DNA quantity through real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR)in the initial diagnosis for infants patients with infectious mononucleosis (IM).Methods From Jan.2013 to Dec.2014 212 infants patients with IM were analysed ret-rospectively,which were all in-patients in the hospital. The abnormal lymphocyte morphology in peripheral blood and Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)DNA quantity were both detected in the initial fever period and a week later. The latter was detected by real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR),combined with all the symptoms were all analysed comprehensively. The percentage of abnormal lymphocyte more than 10% was positive, and the EBV-DNA quantity more than 1.0×103 copy per ml was posi-tive,too.Results Of all the infants patients,in the initial fever period,82 patients had more than 10% positive abnormal lymphocyte and 100 patients had positive EBV-DNA quantity. But a week later,156 patients had more than 10% positive ab-normal lymphocyte, the maximum abnormal lymphocyte was 56%.And 180 patients had positive EBV-DNA quantity. When both abnormal lymphocyte morphology in peripheral blood and Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)DNA quantity were detected,in the initial fever period,125 patients were positive,it rose significantly more than that of abnormal lymphocyte morphology in peripheral blood (χ2=17.45,P<0.01),and that of Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)DNA quantity, too (χ2=5.92,P<0.05). But a week later,190 patients were positive,it rose significantly more than that of abnormal lymphocyte morphology in pe-ripheral blood (χ2=18.16,P<0.01).There was no significantly rising more than that of Epstein Barr Virus (EBV)DNA quantity (χ2=2.12,P>0.05).Conclusion The detecting of peripheral blood cell morphology combined with EBV-DNA
quantity are very important in the initial diagnosis for infants patients with infectious mononucleosis.Including all the symp-toms,they could improve the diagnosis timely and accurately.

Objective To investigate antimicrobial resistance among gram-positive cocci in China in 2009. Methods From June to December 2009, 1169 consecutive and non-repetitive gram-positive cocci were collected from 12 teaching hospitals at 9 cities. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antibacterial agents was determined by agar dilution method. Results The prevalences of methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative Staphylococci (MRCoNS) were 45.3% (211/466) and 89. 5% (214/239), respectively. The isolation rate of MRSA was 33. 3%-68. 1% from different samples. All Staphylococci isolates were susceptible to vacomycin, teicoplanin and linezolid. Five point five percent (7/128) E. faecium strains were resistant to vacomycin. All E.faecalis strains were susceptible to vacomycin. About 99. 1% (108/109) of E. faecalis and E. faecium were susceptible to linezoild. The prevalence of penicillin-intermediate Streptococcus pneumoniae (PISP) was 21.6% (48/222). Only 1 (0. 5%, 1/222) Streptococcus pneumoniae strain was resistant to penicillin.Teicoplanin, vancomycin, linezolid and tigecycline were the most active agents against Streptococcus pneumoniae (susceptible rate 100% ). Conclusions The high prevalence of methicillin-resistance is among Staphylococcus strains. Different samples show a different MRSA prevalence. Teicoplanin, vancomycin and linezolid show very high activity to Staphylococci,E. faecalis, E. faecium and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

Background:
Domestic yaks are the most important livestock species on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Adult female yaks normally breed in the warm season (July to September) and enter anestrous in the cold season (November to April). Nevertheless, it is unclear how ovarian activity is regulated at the molecular level.
Objectives:
The peculiarities of yak reproduction were assessed to explore the molecular mechanism of postpartum anestrus ovaries in yaks after pregnancy and parturition.
Methods:
Sixty female yaks with calves were observed under natural grazing in Haiyan County, Qinghai Province. Three yak ovaries in pregnancy and postpartum anestrus were collected. RNA sequencing and quantitative proteomics were employed to analyze the pregnancy and postpartum ovaries after hypothermia to identify the genes and proteins related to the postpartum ovarian cycle.
Results:
The results revealed 841 differentially expressed genes during the postpartum hypoestrus cycle; 347 were up-regulated and 494 genes were down-regulated. Fifty-seven differential proteins were screened: 38 were up-regulated and 19 were down-regulated. The differential genes and proteins were related to the yak reproduction process, rhythm process, progesterone-mediated oocyte maturation, PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, and MAPK signaling pathway categories.
Conclusions
Transcriptome and proteomic sequencing approaches were used to investigate postpartum anestrus and pregnancy ovaries in yaks. The results confirmed that BHLHE40, SF1IX1, FBPX1, HSPCA, LHCGR, BMP15, and ET-1R could affect postpartum hypoestrus and control the state of estrus.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and drug-toxic reactions of raltitrexed combined with oxaliplatin (RALOX protocol) and 5-fluorouracil + calciumfolinate + oxaliplatin (FOLFOX 4 protocol) in the treatment of patients with middle and advanced primary liver cancer (PLC).Methods A total of 72 patients with PLC were selected and randomly divided into RALOX group (n =34) and FOLFOX 4 group (n =38).The objective response rate (RR) was evaluated every 6 weeks after chemotherapy, while objective remission rate (OR),disease-control rate (DCR),median survival rate (mOS),median progression-free survival (mPFS),1-year survival rate (SR) as well as toxic and adverse reactions were observed. Results In RALOX group,31 patients were evaluable, with OR,DCR,mOS,mPFS,and 1-year SR being 19.4%,51.6%,7.2 months,3.4 months, and 22.6%,respectively.In FOLFOX 4 group,29 patients were evaluable, with OR,DCR,mOS,mPFS,and 1-year SR being 13.8%,48.3%,6.9 months,3.3 months and 20.7%,respectively.RALOX group was significantly lower than FOLFOX 4 group in the incidence rates of gastrointestinal reactions, liver toxicity, cardiac toxicity, peripheral nervous toxicity and hand-foot syndrome, but there were no significant differences in the incidence rates of renal toxicity and myelosuppression between two groups. Conclusion RALOX is safe and effective in the treatment of patients with middle and advanced PLC,and is superior to FOLFOX 4 protocol in clinical efficacy with mild adverse reactions.
