Objective:To study VEGF-C expression in colon cancer and the relationship of VEGF-C expression with clinicopathological features and prognosis.Methods:VEGF-C expression was examined by immnohistochemical staining in 44 cases of primary colon cancers.To analyze the relation of VEGF-C expression with clinicopathological features and prognosis.Results:Of the 44 cases of colon cancers,19 cases of carcinoma (43.2%) were evaluated to be VEGF-C positive expression and 25 cases of carcinoma (56.8%) were determined to be VEGF-C negative expression.VEGF-C expression was associated with tumor differentiation (P=0.003),nodal status (P=0.002) ,Dukes stage (P=0.001).The median survival time of the patients with positive VEGF-C expression was lower than that of patients with negative VEGF-C expression (P=0.0225).Metastatic status,the nodal status and VEGF-C were found to be significant independent prognostic factors (P=0.021,P=0.0004,P=0.0469,respectively).Conclusion:VEGF-C expression is upregulated in colon cancer.VEGF-C expression plays a important role in nodal metastasis.VEGF-C appears to be a new prognostic factor for the prediction of outcome in patients with colon cancer.

Under the background that the job division and complication of the laboratory instrument are highly improved, It puts forward the new demand for the use and maintenance of the laboratory instrument. Nowadays, for the lack of training, Many staff in medical laboratory can not correctly use and maintain the instrument in their rotation to various departments. The problems are solved by the following ways: making an appropriate staff rotation plan, ensuring all operations were carried out strictly according to the instrument guide book, establishing the holder appointment system and individual responsibility system, ensuring the reports were sent out by the new rotating personnel independently only after strict training and qualified examination. Through these methods, the accuracy of the equipment and the quality of testing have greatly increased.

Objective To evaluate the functional outcome after repair of zone V flexor tendon and to identify the relevant factors affecting the outcome.Methods A total of 52 patients ( 163 fingers) with wrist lacerations involving zone V flexor tendon from September 2003 to July 2009 were retrospectively studied.The average follow-up period was 32 months.The lacerated tendons were repaired by using three suture methods of different strands.Functional outcome was assessed by determining the active range of motion (AROM),and grip and pinch strength of the injured fingers,testing the independent flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) action and employing the disability of arm,shoulder,and hand (DASH) questionnaire.Influencing factors for function of the repaired tendon including laceration section levels,repair methods,surgeons' experience,and injury severity were analyzed statistically.Results Functionally,146 out of 163 fingers (89.6％) achieved excellent or good range of motion and 103 out of 147 fingers with FDS injury (70.1％ ) obtained independent FDS action.Grip and pinch strength recovered to about two-thirds of the uninjured level.The mean DASH score was 11.9.Patients had adverse functional outcorme in tendons repaired with the 2-strand Kessler,in the tendons repaired by the surgeons with low level of expertise,or in the wrists with Spaghetti injuries,but levels of laceration section had no significant influence on the outcomes.ConclusionsFunctional recovery of zone V flexor tendon injuries is generally good,but repair methods,levels of expertise of surgeons,and injury severity have significant influences on the outcome.Thereby,advanced levels of expertise of surgeons can effectively improve the postoperative function.

Objective To explore the relationship of college students among death attitude,self-respect,and locus of control character.Methods Death attitude questionnaire,Rosenberger self-respect questionnaire and locus of control Inclination questionnaire were administered to 442 college students chosen by random sampling.Results ①Death attitudes order:death neutrality(3.78±0.62),death escape(2.90±0.77),terror of death(2.71±0.73),approach acceptance (2.49 ± 0.69) and escape acceptance (2.44 ± 0.84).② Different self-respect gradation students displayed significant difference on the terror of death,death neutrality,approach acceptance and escape acceptance (P＜0.05) ;and different character students displayed significant difference on the terror of death,death escape and escape acceptance(P＜0.05).③Self-respect had significant positive correlation with death neutrality (P＜0.01),while had negative correlation with terror of death,death escape,approach acceptance and escape acceptance (P＜0.01);and locus of control character had significant positive correlation with death fear and escape acceptance(P＜0.01).④Self-respect,locus of control character,health condition,discussions over death situation,and meaning of life have a degree of forecasting power over death attitude.Conclusion There is a close correlation among death attitude,self-respect,locus of control character.

Objective:To investigate the effect and mechanism of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α)in perihematomal brain tissue on the early formation of edema in patients with hyper-tensive intracerebral hemorrhage.Methods:The perihematomal brain tissue in 32 patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were treated with hematoma evacuation.The expressions of HIF-1α and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)were measured by immunohistochem- istry staining technique.The volume of perihematomal edema was determined on the basis of reoperative head CT scan.The results of staining and the volume of edema were analyzed by using double-blind method.Resets:Neuron and vascular endothelial cell swelling were observed 4 hours after cerebral hemorrhage,and the scattered HIF-1α positive neurons were visible.The expressions of HIF-1α reached the peak(at 24 to 48 hours,and went on high expressions at 49 to 72 hours.There was significant difference as compared with the normal brain tissue(P＜0.01). There were positive correlations between the expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF (r=0.72,t=6.37,P＜0.01)and the volume of brain edema(r=0.64,t=4.56,P＜0.01).Conclusions: The expression of HIF-1α in perihematomal brain tissue of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage iS associated with the early formation of cerebral edema.HIF-1α may accelerate the formation of brain edema by inducing and regulating the expression of VEGF.

The influence of temperature, chloride ions and sulfide ions on the anticorrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel in simulated cooling water was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and anodic polarization curves. The results show that the film resistance increases with the solution temperature but decreases after 8 days' immersion, which indicates that the film formed at higher temperature has inferior anticorrosion behavior; Chloride ions and sulfide ions have remarkable effects on the electrochemical property of 316L stainless steel in simulated cooling water and the pitting potential declines with the concentration of chloride ions; the passivation current has no obvious effect; the rise of the concentration of sulfide ions obviously increases the passivation current, but the pitting potential changes little, which indicates that the two types of ions may have different effects on destructing passive film of stainless steel. The critical concentration of chloride ions causing anodic potential curve's change in simulated cooling water is 250 mg/L for 316 L stainless. The effect of sulfide ions on the corrosion resistance behavior of stainless steel is increasing the passivation current density Ip. The addition of 6mg/L sulfide ions to the solution makes Ip of 316 L increase by 0.5 times.

Objective To explore the relationship of serum parathyriod hormone ( PTH) level with renal ane-mia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).Methods Serum levels of PTH,Hb,Hct,BUN,Cr were observed in 126 patients with CKD at stages 3-5,the changes of 42 patients in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD) with recombi-nant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) and calcitriol-1.25(OH)2D3 treatment for three months were determined. Results The serum PTH level was significantly increased in CKD patients at stage 3 and more in CKD patients at stage 4 and 5.There were positive relationship between blood PTH and BUN ,Cr(P<0.01),but a negative relation-ship between PTH and Ccr,Hb(P <0.01).42 patients of MHD treated with rhEPO,1.25(OH)2D3 after three months,according to the changes of HCT ,the effective rate was 73.8% and the ineffective rate was 26.2%.The PTH,Hb,HCT of the effective group had statistically significant differences compared with the ineffective group ( all P<0.01).Hb and Hct significantly increased and PTH significantly decreased in the effective group .Conclusion CKD patients had decreased renal function ,elevated blood PTH .High serum PTH might aggravate renal anemia and fail to respond to rhEPO.The high serum PTH corrected by using 1.25(OH)2D3 might improve renal anemia,with high plasma PTH correcting .

Objective To investigate the effects of early continuous renal replacement thempy(CRRT)for hyperlipoidemia severe acute pancreatitis (HLSAP)patients.Methods 32 HLSAP patients were randomly divided into control group and CRRT treatment group.The levels of serum triglyceride(TG),serum and urine amylase,the APACHEⅡscore,the incidence of mechanical ventilation were compared between the two groups.Results The levels of serum TG was significantly lower in CRRT group than that in the control group in day 3(t =2.885,P =0.003). The APACHE II score,incidence rate of mechanical ventilation,the fatality rate were significantly lower in CRRT group than those in the control group in day 3(χ2 =4.572,t =4.912,χ2 =4.043;P =0.032,0.027,0.044).There were no significant differences between late group than that early group in age,gender,APACHE II score(all P >0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in the levels of amylase in serum and urine in day 3(all P >0.05).Conclusion Early CRRT therapy can eliminate the level of TG in HLSAP patients,may improve the prognosis of HLSAP patients.

Objective To find a more suitable approach for the application of tranexamic acid(TXA)on total knee arthroplas‐ty (TKA) .Methods Totally 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria from January 2014 to August 2015 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University were selected and divided into two groups according to the different route of administration .Group A (n=30) was intravenously injected with 100 mL TXA ,and group B(n=30) was locally injected with 100 mL TXA .Three hours drainage tubes occlusion were carried out after operation in the two groups .The intraoperative and postoperative dominant blood loss ,hidden blood loss indexes and the amount of total blood loss were recorded ,and coagulation indexes and D‐2 polymer were reg‐ularly monitored ,the incidence of thrombosis and postoperative adverse events were also observed .Results The amount of total blood loss in group B[(895 .41 ± 239 .02)mL] was lower than that in group A[(1 020 .89 ± 210 .83)mL] ,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0 .05);the total drainage volume in group B[(294 .33 ± 54 .25) mL] was lower than that in group A [(373 .33 ± 48 .02)mL] ,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0 .05) .After operation ,there was no significant differ‐ence between the two groups in coagulation indexes ,D‐2 polymer and the amount of hidden blood loss (P>0 .05) .No blood trans‐fusion ,symptomatic deep venous thrombosis and fatal pulmonary embolism occurred in the two groups .Conclusion The hemostatic effect of local application of TXA is better than that of intravenous injection in patients′initial TKA .
