The current situation is that the study of blood system diseases is difficult, and the students lack both the initiative and enthusiasm to learn. Clinical teachers' energy is limited because of other clini-cal, management and research roles, so the quality of teaching varies greatly. Meanwhile, teaching quality has nothing to do with personal reviews. Furthermore, the relationship between doctors and patients is in trouble in current medical environment. All of these above affect the quality of clinical practice in hematology department. Aiming at these problems, we improve the teaching quality significantly by raising the students' interests, enhancing their initiative, improving teachers' teaching level and enthusiasm, carrying out the in-ternship system, and strictly enforce the elimination system.

Objective To study the therapeutic and protective effect of low tidal volume(LTV) ventilation in children with acute respiratory failure.Methods Forty-eight patients with respiratory failure were enrolled in our study.The patients were suffered from severe infection,trauma or after major operation.Besides general treatments,they were all given ventilation with LTV.Blood gas,ventilation parameters and complications related to ventilation were also measured.Results No significant difference was found between the patients with high tidal volume(HTV) and those with LTV in the results of improving respiratory acidosis.But the incidence of(ventilated-)induced lung injury(VILI) was lower in LTV patients.Conclusion LTV ventilation is preferable for children with acute respiratory failure and beneficial for alleviation of VILI.

Purpose　To explore the effects of antibiotics and herbs with removing pathogenic heat from blood on ovarian granulosa cell morphological and functions in female rats.　Methods　The granulosa cell of 30 d age SD female rats was collected,several drugs were added to the culture fluid.The culture fluid were collected to measure the sex hormone by radioimmunoassay.The cell organs of granulosa cell were measured by transmission electron microscope.　Results　Organs of the granulosa cell almost disappeared and perinuclear vesicle were founded in Amikacin sulfate group and Rhizoma zedoariae group.The progesterone levels were lower than in salline group (P<0.05).The estrogen levels of Amikacin group were lower than in saline group (P<0.05).　Conclusions　Ovarian function were obstructed in female rats when Amikacin,Rhizoma zedoariae were directly used.

The paper expounds the connotation of HIS troubles, the methods for determining HIS troubles and the necessity of establishing a contingency plan for clearing such troubles. It also puts forward some specific measures for managing the contingency plan: ①defining the accountability and division of work in clearing various kinds of troubles; ②doing a good job of coordination in clearing troubles; ③carrying out strict training for the relevant personnel; and ④conducting checks and supervision all the time. Establishment of the plan makes it clear to HIS managers that enough attention ought to be paid to the prevention of troubles.

Objective To investigate the action of inorganic arsenic in the induction of DNA strand breaks in primary cultured human skin fibroblasts. Methods Sodium arsenate and sodium arsenite were used as test inorganic arsenics. DNA strand breaks were assessed by single cell gel electrophoresis assay (SCGE). Results Arsenate at 1～10 ?mol/L dose_dependently induced DNA strand breaks in cells. Arsenate at lower concentrations induced mainly degree I DNA strand breaks, while the proportion of cells with degree Ⅱ DNA strand breaks increased to 50% when treated with 10?mol/L arsenate,but no cells with degree ⅢDNA strand breaks were observed.Cells treated with 1?mol/L arsenite showed no significant increase in DNA strand breaks. At the concentration of 10?mol/L, however, arsenite induced DNA strand breaks with different degrees, and the apoptotic type DNA strand breaks were the major type. Conclusion Sodium arsenate mainly induced general type DNA strand breaks and sodium arsenite induced apoptotic type,beside general type of DNA strand breaks in primary cultured human skin fibroblasts. This could be explained by their different reaction modes with DNA, and further studies were needed.

Objective Investigation and analysis of intelligence and psychomotor function in children born after implementingt universal salt iodization(USI). Methods Historical serious illness areas of water iodine below 10μg/L were selected as study sites, water iodine in 50 - 100 μg/L in the historical non-endemic areas were as control points in Henan, 2008. Cluster sampling was used to select children aged 6 - 15 years as observing subjects,IQ were measured with CRT- Man Test(CRT-C2). A "Tianjin Medical psychomotor test battery" (JPB) was carry out to test psychomotor function. Results In IDD regions 230 children were surveyed post-USI and 1284 children preUSI. The IQs post and pre USI were 99.3 and 99.9, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤69 were 2.17%(6/230) and 2.80%(36/1284), respectively. In non-IDD regions 650 children were surveyed post-USI and 2079children pre-USI. The IQs post and pre USI were 95.3 and 93.8, respectively, and the proportion of IQ ≤ 69 were 2.31%(15/650) and 3.37%(70/2079), respectively. In IDD regions, the abnormal rate of T scores and damage index post USI were 3.6%(2/56), 5.3%(3/56), respectively, significantly lower than pre USI [18.1%(29/160),18.1%(29/160), x2 = 7.54, 6.86, all P ＜ 0.01]. Conclusions USI could increase the IQs of children and decrease the positive rate of JPB, and significantly improve the quality of whole nation and persistently eliminating IDD.
