Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(10):622-623,629
Objective To investigate the clinical value of PET-CT scans in lymphomatous patients in post-therapy evaluation. Methods 18F-FDG PET-CT imaging were performed in 40 lymphomatous patients whom had been received therapy. Successive PET-CT imaging were performed in 5 cases, and the treatment was evaluated with clinical evaluation. Results Successive PET-CT imaging were performed in 5 cases, in which the tumor was eradicated in 2 cases, improved in 2 cases, and relapsed in 1 case. In 35 patients PET-CT imaging was repeated after treatment, among them 30 cases with complete or partial remission, and PET-CT imaging was positive in 25 cases. PET-CT imaging was still positive in 8 cases with recurrent or remnant tumor. PET-CT imaging changed the therapeutic regime. Conclusion PET-CT imaging can detect the recurrent or remnant tumor sensitively and accurately. There is a significant value for the guidance of clinical therapeutic.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective: To establish an optimized culture condition f or the growth of dermal fibroblasts. Methods: Human, Yorks hire pig or SD rat fibroblasts were cultured in DMEM with fetal boven serum(P BS) at the concentrations(ml/L) of 100 (A), 50 (B), 20 (C) or 20 supplemente d with 0.025 g/L boven pituitary extract (BPE)(D). The proliferation of the cell s were examined by microscopic observation,MTT assay and BrdU analysis. Results: Human dermal fibroblasts grew better in the medium with FBS at 100 ml/L, 50 ml/L and 20 ml/L supplemented with BPE, Yorkshire pig dermal fibroblasts did in medium with FBS at 50 ml/L and 20 ml/L supplemented with BPE . SD rat dermal fibroblasts did in the medium with 20 ml/L FBS supplemented wi th BPE. Conclusion:The favarable serum concentration in me dium for human, Yorkshire pigs and SD rats dermal fibroblasts was different, but the medium with 20 ml/L FBS supplement with BPE is suitable for all 3 kinds of f ibroblasts.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(10):-
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small (approximately 22 nt) RNAs that exhibit a diversity in sequence, structure, abudance, and expression profile. Bioinformatic approaches and direct cloning methods have identified 3518 miRNAs from various species. MiRNAs play a pivotal role in the regulation of genes involved in diverse processes such as development, differentiation, and cellular growth control. Recently, many viral-encoded miRNAs have been discovered, most from the herpesviruses viral family. Virus-encoded miRNAs seem to evolve rapidly and regulate both the viral life cycle and the interaction between viruses and their hosts. The detailed study on the virus-encoded microRNAs and the role they play in the progress of viral infection, replication and expression will be beneficial to understand viral molecular biology, and also provide new strategies for the prevention and treatment of virus.

Objective: To evaluate the genetic toxicity of Thuja essential oil by salmonella reversion test (AMES test) and mammal micronucleus test. Methods: TA97, TA98, TA100 and TA102 were used in AMES test to evaluate the mutagenesis of Thuja essential oil.Mouse bone marrow micronucleus test was conducted to assess the chromosome toxicity of the drug. Results: Both in S9 present and absent situations, the numbers of reverse mutation of Thuja essential oil at different doses for the four strains were all less than 1-fold of that of solvent control, and the difference had no statistical significance (P>0.05), suggesting negative mutation. The micronucleus test indicated that Thuja essential oil had no influence on the rate of mouse bone marrow micronucleus (P>0.05).Conclusion: Thuja essential oil shows no obvious genetic toxicity.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate angiography and interventional embolization in diagnosis and treatment of massive hemobilia. Methods During 10 years,9 patients with massive hemobilia underwent emergency selective hepatic artery angiography to find the bleeding points, and then embolized the feeding branches. Results All cases demonstrated clearly on angiography about the arterial hemorrhage, and extravasation of contrast-medium.Hemorrhage was stanched immediately after embolization of the feeding branches of the hepatic artery. Conclusion Selective hepatic angiography and interventional embolization for massive hemobilia is a safe and efficient diagnostic and therapeutic method.(J Intervent Radiol,2006,15:213-214)

Cancer Research and Clinic 2009;21(10):678-679,682
Objective To compare the clinical value of 18F-FDG PET imaging and 99Tcm-MDP whole body bone imaging in detection of bone metastases. Methods 43 patients were undergone 18F-FDG PET and 99Tcm-MDP imaging within 2 weeks. 28 of them were with confirmed bone metastases by other examinations or follow-up and the remaining 15 were confirmed without bone metastases. The results of the 2 different modalities were analyzed. Results Among 28 patients with confirmed bone metastases, PET and MDP accurately diagnosed 26 and 27, respectively. The sensitivity of them were 92.9 %(26/28), 96.4 %(27/28), Among the remaining 19 cases without bone metastases, PET and MDP correctly gave 14 and 8 negative results, respectively. The specificity of them were 93.3 %(14/15), 53.3 %(8/15), and accuracy of them were 93.0 %(40/43), 81.4 %(35/43). The differences between specificities and accuracies of the two methods were significant, while no significant difference between the sensitivities of the two methods. Conclusion For the detection of bone metastases in patients with malignant tumors, 18F-FDG PET showed a similar sensitivity but better specificity and accuracy compared with 99Tcm-MDP bone scan. For patients with suspected bone metastases, negative finding or single hot spot in 99Tcm-MDP imaging, 18F-FDG PET imaging was recommend as a further and complementary assessment of bone metastases.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(5):421-424
OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the extent of endolymphatic hydrops as shown by three-dimensional fluid-attenuated inversion recovery magnetic resonance imaging (3D FLAIR MRI) performed 24 hours after bilateral intratympanic gadolinium administration and discuss the positive rate of endolymphatic hydrops in vestibule and cochlea.
METHOD:
Twenty-four hours after bilateral intra-tympanic 8 times diluted gadolinium administration, three-dimensional fluid-attenuated inversion recovery MRI, using a three-Tesla unit, was performed in 48 patients, and then assessed the extent of endolymphatic hydrops in the MRI images.
RESULT:
Forty-eight patients showed different levels of enhancement of perilymth in the inner ear. In these patients, obvious signs of endolymphatic hydrops were visualized in vestibule, including 8 slight hydrops, 17 mild hydrops and 23 severe hydrops with a diagnostic rate of 83.3%. There were almost no complications in all 48 patients after bilateral intra-tympanic injection except short vertigo in some of them.
CONCLUSION
3D FLAIR MRI resonance imaging has a high positive diagnostic rate in assessing endolymphatic hydrops of Ménière's disease and provides direct imaging evidence for diagnosing Ménière's disease.
