1.Evolution of animal models of hemorrhage shock
Military Medical Sciences 2017;41(1):73-76
An animal model of hemorrhagic shock is widely applied .It is an important platform to clarify the pathogenic mechanism, develop hemostasis materials , test first aid equipments and filter resuscitation medications .This paper summa-rizes the commonly used animal models of hemorrhagic shock at home and abroad , focusing on animal selection , model cre-ation, influencing factors , and fields of application in order to provide useful reference for model selection and application by medical practitioners and researchers .

Objective To investigate the level of serum homocysteine(Hcy)in common chronic diseases(diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease)and its clinical application value in the community elderly residents. Methods A retrospec-tive study was conducted on the common chronic disease of 1 605 patients who detected Hcy in our center from January 2015 to Oc-tober 2015.Another 117 healthy subjects served as normal control group.Hcy was detected by cyclic enzymatic method. Results The average level of Hcy in serum of patients with diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease and hyperlipidemia was higher than that in the health examination group, and the level of Hcy was positively correlated with age(P <0.05).Conclusion The high level of serum Hcy is an important risk factor in common chronic diseases in the community elderly residents, and it should strengthen the examination of Hcy and active intervention to slow down the development of the disease.

Objective To observe the effect of high-dose leucovorin(LV)plus 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu)for 48hours infusion in combination with cisplatin(DDP)in treatment of advanced esophageal cancer. Methods Pathological diagnosis of esophageal cancer 60 cases were randomly divided into treatment group of 30 patients, using DDP 25mg/m2 intravenous infusion 30 minutes,d1~3,LV 200mg/m2 intravenous infusion 2 hours,5-Fu 0.5 intravenous injection 10 minutes, and 5-Fu 2.5/m2,continuous infusion with the infusion pump for 48 hours every 21 days,2 cycles of assessment of efficacy.Control group of 30 patients, using DDP 25mg/m2 intravenous infusion 30 minutes,d1~3,LV 60mg/m2 intravenously two hours,d1~5,5-Fu 500mg/m2 intravenously 8 hours every 21 days,2 cycles of assessment of efficacy. Results Short-term effect, treatment group, complete remission(CR)1 patient and partial remission(PR)15 cases,stable(SD)9 cases,progress(PD)5 cases, the total effective rate of CR + PR53.3%(16/30).Control group,PR 11 patients,SD 11 cases,PD 8 cases,no cases of PR,the total effective rate 36.7 %(11/30).Nausea,vomiting,oral mucositis, bone marrow suppression, diarrhea and hair loss were the main adverse reactions. Two groups are able to withstand, without any Ⅳ toxicities, myelosuppression was significant in control group than the treatment group. Conclusion High-dose LV + 5-Fu 48 hours infusion combined platinum-term efficacy in treatment of advanced esophageal cancer compared with conventional DF program is good, less adverse reactions, should further expand the study.
6.Fragile histidine triad transcription abnormalities and human papillomavirus16 infection in human cervical carcinoma
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the relationship between fragile histidine triad(FHIT) transcription abnormalities and HPV16 infection and human cervical tumorigenesis. Methods Total RNA from 5 cervical carcinoma cell lines(SiHa,HeLa,RJC-1,CS1213 and C4-1),58 primary cervical cancer specimens and 18 normal cervical epithelial tissues were extracted and FHIT transcripts were characterized by a two-step(nested) reverse transcription(RT)-PCR.The seven of the PCR products with different size were purified and sequenced.HPV16 infection was assessed by PCR.Results ① There were altered FHIT transcripts in SiHa,HeLa and C4-1 cells.Aberrant FHIT transcripts were detected in 39 out of the 58 cervical cancer samples(67.2%),but none out of 18 in the normal cervix tissue specimens(0%);HPV16 infections were identified in 37 of the 58 cervical cancer tissues(63.8%),but 1 in the 18 normal cervical epithelial tissues(5%),which showed a significant difference between these two groups(P0.05).③ The exon 5 and exon 6 were mainly deleted in the altered FHIT transcripts and no insertion and point mutation were found by DNA sequencing. Conclusion Aberrant FHIT expression was significantly common in cervical cancers and was correlated with HPV16 infection. These findings suggest that the tumor suppressor gene FHIT and high risk HPV16 may play a very important role in human cervical carcinogenesis.

Objective To investigate the value of multipoint and multidirectional ultrasound-guided fineneedle aspiration cytology (US-FNAC) in preoperative diagnosis of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC).Methods From Jan.2012 to Jan.2013,multipoint and multidirectional US-FNAC were performed in 177 patients with 233 nodules suspected as PTMC,and the cytopathological findings were compared with surgical pathological results and clinical follow-up results. Results Of the 233 biopsies, the cytology were classified as malignant for 146 lesions, suspicious for malignancy for 43 lesions, benign for 24 lesions, follicular lesions for 4 lesions and inadequate sample for 16 lesions. After the second multipoint and multidirectional US-FNAC,only 1 case did not have sufficient cells for diagnosis, and the puncture failure rate was 0.43%.Actually there were 189 malignant and 44 benign lesions confirmed by clinical follow-up and pathological results. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of multipoint and multidirectional US-FNAC was 99.5%,81.8% and 96.1% respectively. Conclusions Multipoint and multidirectional US-FNAC has definite value in increasing puncture qualified rate and positive diagnosis rate before operation.
