BACKGROUND: Autologous adipose tissue has become an ideal filling material due to the fact that it has no rejection reaction, but has abundant source, good texture and appearance after transplantation, and low cost.OBJECTIVE: To review the research advance in the effect of different additive ingredients on the activity of adipocytes.METHODS: A computer-based retrieval of CNKI, WanFang, VIP, PubMed, Elsevier, and Embase databases was conducted for the articles about adipocyte viability using the keywords of "autologous adipose tissue, rate of survival, stromal vascular fraction, platelet-rich plasma, growth factor, adipose derived stem cells, leptin" in English and Chinese, respectively. Finally 47 eligible articles were included for further analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Autologous fat transplantation still holds some limitations. It has been found that the survival rate of single autologous fat globules is less than 60%. The high absorption rate of adipose tissues, cyst, calcification and other complications after transplantation restrict its far-ranging application. In order to improve the survival rate of transplanted adipose tissues, most of scholars have been trying to improve the method of liposuction, cryopreservation conditions, or add different ingredients such as platelet-rich plasma and stromal vascular fraction. The stromal vascular fraction, platelet rich plasma, adipose derived stem cells, botulinum toxin A, and some cytokines have been confirmed to be feasible and effective according to a series of trials; however, the studies on leptin and some other kinds of cytokines and drugs still in the experimental stage, which need to be explored in depth.

Objective:To detect the expression of microRNA-218 (miR-218) in human acute lymphocyte leukemia (ALL) T lymphocytes ( CCRF-CEM) ,explore its effects on the biological features of CCRF-CEM cells and the expression of its target gene c-kit, so as to provide new insights for leukemia treatment. Methods: Using the quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction ( qRT-PCR) ,we detected the expression of miR-218 in the normal peripheral blood T lymphocytes and CCRF-CEM cells.Forty-eight hours after the miR-218 mimic was transfected into the CCRF-CEM cells, the expression of miR-218 in the CCRF-CEM cells was detected by qRT-PCR.The effect of miR-218 on the CCRF-CEM cell viability was detected using MTT.The effect of miR-218 on the proliferation and apoptosis of CCRF-CEM cell was analyzed using flow cytometry.c-kit gene was identified to be a target gene of miR-218 by luciferase reporter enzyme system, and the effect of miR-218 on the expression of KIT protein in cells were determined using Western blot. Results:As shown by qRT-PCR,compared with that in the normal peripheral blood T lymphocytes, the expressions of miR-218 in ALL T lymphocytes cell lines were significantly decreased ( P<0.01 ) .Compared with the control group, the expression of miR-218 increase significantly in CCRF-CEM cells transfected with miR-218 mimic for 48 hours ( P<0.01).MTT showed that the cell viability decreased significantly after the over-expression of miR-218 in the CCRF-CEM cells ( P<0.05 ) .Flow cytometry showed that the S-phase fraction significantly declined after the over-expression of miR-218 ( P<0.01 ) , and meanwhile the apoptosis of cells also significantly increased (P<0.01).Luciferase reporter gene assay showed that, compared with the control group, the relative luciferase activity significantly declined in the miR-218 mimic transfection group (P<0.01).Compared with the control group, the expression of KIT protein in the CCRF-CEM cells transfected with miR-218 mimic for 48 hours significantly decreased ( P<0.01).Conclusion:The expression of miR-218 decreases in ALL T lymphocytes cell lines.MiR-218 can negatively regulate the expression of KIT protein, inhibit the proliferation and increase the apoptosis of CCRF-CEM cells.Treatment based on the enhanced expression of miR-218 may be a promising strategy for leukemia.

A novel method was developed for the rapid determination of multi-indicators in corni fructus by means of near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) based least squares support vector machine was investigated to increase the levels of quality control. The calibration models of moisture, extractum, morroniside and loganin were established using the PSO-LS-SVM algorithm. The performance of PSO-LS-SVM models was compared with partial least squares regression (PLSR) and back propagation artificial neural network (BP-ANN). The calibration and validation results of PSO-LS-SVM were superior to both PLS and BP-ANN. For PSO-LS-SVM models, the correlation coefficients (r) of calibrations were all above 0.942. The optimal prediction results were also achieved by PSO-LS-SVM models with the RMSEP (root mean square error of prediction) and RSEP (relative standard errors of prediction) less than 1.176 and 15.5% respectively. The results suggest that PSO-LS-SVM algorithm has a good model performance and high prediction accuracy. NIR has a potential value for rapid determination of multi-indicators in Corni Fructus.

Objective To investigate the effect of folic acid intervention on plasma homocysteine (Hcy) metabolic changes and pulse wave velocity(PWV)in patients with type H hypertension. Methods Patients(hos-pitalized from March 2014 to December in our hospital)with H type hypertension were randomly divided into treat-ment group and control group randomly ,and were given routine antihypertensive drug therapy. Treatment group was given oral folic acid 0.8 mg,1 times a day,the control group was given placebo,1 times a day. All patient were treated for 12 months. Changes of plasma Hcy and PWV levels were observed. Results 432 patients(Han nationality)with type H hypertension were enrolled in this study with the age of 61.7 ± 13.6 years old and the ratio of men and women is 1.3:1. The most common diseases were coronary heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. 2 groups were treated for a period of 12 months, with follow-up time from 6 to 10 months(average duration in 8 months). After treatment, the difference between plasma Hcy(Z=-7.63,P=0.000)and PWV(Z=-3.16,P=0.002)levels of the two groups were statistically significant. Conclusion Folic acid intervention can significantly reduce the level of plasma Hcy in patients with type H hypertension ,slow down the progression of atherosclerosis and reduce the risk factors of cardiovascular disease.

Journal of Korean Foot and Ankle Society 2020;24(3):124-127
Intramuscular lipomas are benign adipose tumors of the soft tissues that may resemble liposarcomas because of their size, deep location, and occasionally infiltrative growth. An awareness of their existence is fundamental to treating them correctly, and their differential diagnosis from liposarcoma is essential. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a useful diagnostic tool to differentiate benign adipose tumors from liposarcoma. Marginal excision and biopsy are required for the definite diagnosis and the treatment of symptomatic intramuscular lipomas. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first report in South Korea regarding the treatment of an intramuscular giant lipoma of the ankle.
