Non-surgical therapy is important to liver cancer treatment. Actinotheraphy and chemotherapy, because of their less specific for cancer tissue and serious side effect, badly affect the patients' life qualities, sometimes even endanger the patients lives. Hepatocellular carcinoma specific antibodies have been the focus of liver cancer biotherapy. After 20 years of study since 1975, it has been demonstrated that antibodies derived from mouse could not efficiently stimulate the functions of human reactor, but could induce human anti-mouse antibody responses which could bring about serious side effects. The application of DNA recombination technique provides a good method for resolving the immune selection problem. The techniques of humanoriginated antibodies and phage displaying will lead to development of innovative strategies to manage liver cancer. In our country, the antibody products aimed at cancer all originated from mouse while the study of human antibodies is still at its primary stage. Non-human antibodies has been forbidden in clinical trails by FDA in America since 2001. It can be speculated that human antibody products will domminate the future market rapidly.

China Pharmacy 2016;27(7):896-898,899
OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of tamsulosin on proliferation and apoptosis in prostatic cancer PC-3 cells. METHODS:After treated with 0 (blank control group),12.5,25 and 50 μmol/L tamsulosin (tamsulosin low, medium and high-concentration groups)for 48 h,the viability of PC-3 cells was detected by MTT method. Hoechst 33258 staining was used to detect cell apoptosis rate. Western blot was used to determine the expression level of Bax and Bcl-2 protein, and the phosphoryla-tion level of protein kinase B(Akt),mammalian target rapamycin(mTOR),ribosomal S6 protein kinase(p70S6K)and 4E bind-ing protein 1(4E-BP1). RESULTS:Compared with blank control group,PC-3 cells viability and the phosphorylation level of Akt, p70S6K and 4E-BP1 decreased in tamsulosin low, medium and high-concentration groups, while expression level of Bax protein in-creased (P<0.05 or P<0.01);the apoptosis rate of PC-3 cells was increased in tamsulosin medium and high-concentration groups, while the expression level of Bcl-2 and phosphorylation level of mTOR were decreased(P<0.01),in concentration-depen-dent manner. CONCLUSIONS:Tamsulosin can inhibit PC-3 cells proliferation and induce cell apoptosis via blocking Akt/mTOR signal pathway.

Herald of Medicine 2014;(11):1411-1415
Objective The study aimed to investigate the best extraction process and the analgesia and anti-inflammatory properties of total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera. Methods Through single factor experiment and orthogonal test, factors that affect the extraction yield of total flavonoids were studied, including the extraction time, solid to liquid ratio, ethanol concentration and extraction times. The mice models of ear edema induced by xylene and twisting induced by acetic acid were used to evaluate the analgesia and anti-inflammatory effects of different extractions from Euphorbia prolifera. Results Total flavonoids were extracted by the refluxing method, and the optimum conditions were extracting for 3 hours, solid to liquid ratio of 1:30,ethanol content of 60% in the solvent, and processed for 2 times. The highest extraction yield of total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera was 5. 63%. The ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts decreased twisting and ear swelling in mice. Conclusion The extraction for total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera is simple, efficient and reproducible. The ethanol, ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts of total flavonoids have obvious analgesia and anti-inflammatory effects.

International Eye Science 2016;16(10):1956-1958
AIM:To investigate the serum antibody of aquaporin 4 ( AQP4 - Ab ) in positive expression rate and the significance in patients with neuritis.
●METHODS: A total of 98 cases ( 128 eyes ) of patients with optic neuritis were studied to detect the patient′s serum AQP4-Ab positive rate of antinuclear antibodies ( ANAs) from Jan. 2012 to Dec. 2015 in ophthalmology center of our hospital. According to the expression of AQP4 - Ab group, the best corrected visual acuity between the two groups, peripapillary nerve fiber layer thickness (pRNFL), the volume of the macula, macular RNFL ( mRNFL ) , macular core layer volume ( mlNL ) measurement were compared.
●RESULTS:Ninety-eight patients (128 eyes) with optic neuritis cases diagnosed through examination revealed AQP4-Ab positive in 22 patients ( 22%) , negative in 76 patients ( 78%) , ANAs positive in 21 patients ( 21%) , negative 77 patients ( 79%) . Optic neuritis patients with serum AQP4 - Ab positive rate and ANAs positive significant correlation ( r = 0. 707, P < 0. 05 ). After examination revealed AQP4-Ab patients and negative-positive patients with best corrected visual acuity difference was not statistically significance (P>0. 05). After inspection found pRNFL, macular volume measured value AQP4 - Ab positive patients were significantly less than the negative patients, the differences were statistically significant (P<0. 05). AQP4-Ab positive patients and negative patients the mRNFL, mlNL measured values were not significantly different (P>0. 05).
●CONCLUSION:AQP4-Ab and ANAs expression in optic neuritis patients is a significant correlation. AQP4-Ab positive patients with optic neuritis pRNFL thinning of macular volume are decreased compared with negative patients.

OBJECTIVETo explore the effect of internal fixation with screw through femoral epiphyseal plate on growth in- hibition via an experimental study.
METHODSForty New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups and 10 rabbits in each group. Epiphyseal plate was injured by penetrating of screws, and the size of damage area was controlled by changing the number of threads. Group A: blank group; group B: injury area accounted for 4% of the epiphyseal plate; group C: injury area accounted for 6%; group D: injury area accounted for 8%. The internal fixation was removed after 2 weeks, and the results were observed with X-ray film for 4 groups to judge the complications such as early closure of epiphyseal.
RESULTSIn each group, there were no statistical differences in the length of the femoral neck, the diameter of femoral neck, the diameter of the femoral head, and the epiphyseal plate closure time. The growth speed of the length and diameter of the femoral neck, as well as the diameter of femoral head, were quicker on the early phase, and the speed was slowest when the epiphyseal plate was being closed.
CONCLUSIONThe injury area of epiphyseal plate under 8% is safe for its growth. Because no evidences demonstrate the growth inhibition of epiphyseal plate, the screws can be used for rabbit epiphyseal plates.

Objective To investigate whether tissue engineered bone with implanted vascular bun-dles can up-regulate release of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in models of femoral defect in rabbits. Methods Thirty-two rabbits were randomized into 2 even groups. In both groups, a segmental bone defect of 15 mm in length was made at the left femur before a tissue engineered bone was inserted into the defect. In the experimental group, a femoral vascular bundle was implanted into the tissue engineered bone.In the control group, there was no vascular implantation. At 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks after implantation, samples were taken to determine new bone formation by histology and expression level of VEGF by immuno-histochemistry.Results The new bone formation was significantly higher in the experimental group at the end of 4, 8, and 12 weeks(P < 0.05) .The expression level of VEGF in the experimental group was also significantly higher than in the control group at all time points after operation, and the expression of VEGF peaked at 4 weeks. Conclusion Tissue engineered bone with vascular bundle implanted can up-regulate VEGF release in models of femoral defect in rabbits.
